I want to share the quality of my Service Experience with McCrea of VA Service Technician Mr. Scott Rogerson. Mr. Rogerson diagnosed an issue on my Zone 1 AC, resolved it so on point, Scott went above and beyond to relocate something outside of the blower motor so that it could be easily serviced down the road, changing a connection on a control board that was the incorrect size from the original installation years ago. Scott is a true professional he communicated his ETA, communicated preventive maintenance measures to keep both Zones 1 and 2 running efficiently. I could not be more pleased, a great attitude and passion for doing things right. I commend McCrea and Scott for being so professional and a job well done!

My husband and I have been homeowners for 46 years. Dan (Daniel) with McCrea Heating and Air Conditioning of VA was one of the best, most professional and absolutely the most educational air-conditioning technician we have ever had. He took the time to explain every detail of what he was doing and to answer any questions we had. Superb job. Dan definitely deserves an A+.

The technician (Shammion) arrived on time and spent time listening to my concerns and answered my questions before proceeding with the work. Shammion has serviced my furnace and a/c unit previously, and on each occasion he has spent time informing me how various parts of my HVAC should work and what I need to do to get the most from the systems. On this occasion, Shammion instructed me on how to use my new thermostat and how best to keep my condenser coil clean in the future. The work was done expertly and in a professional manner, and I highly recommend Shammion and McCrea Heating and Air Conditioning.

The site was inspected. However, despite reqesting a quote, McCrea NEVER RESPONDED though a promise was made to get back on a speific date. HOW COULD YOU TRUST A MAJOR JOB which included removing & reinstating the existing water heater, to a firm that WOULD NEVER REPOND. If McCrea was not interested in the job, at least a call to that effect should have been made.

Although we ultimately did not hire McCrea, I wanted to leave a review commending them for their responsiveness, professionalism and expertise. We talked to quite a few HVAC companies, and McCrea really impressed me with their services.

Great - Dennis not only changed that controller, he took time to find out what rooms were connected to each return and explain how to change the filters on all of our equipment.

One word . . impressed! We recently purchased our home and the current McCrea service contract was rolled over from the prior owners. We had no idea what to expect. First, McCrea customer service noticed we hadn't scheduled a service, so they called and scheduled our maintenance. Our technician, Stephen, called prior to arriving, he cared about our home and covered his shoes. He took the time to answer questions regarding our HVAC unit and show us how to properly maintain our unit between checkups. We had no idea the humidifier had a filter and he showed us how to take it out, and what kind of filter to replace it with. He also said that they could add that servicing to our contract, if we didn't want to handle it ourselves, but it a suggestion not a forced sale. Very professional, well trained and ethical. We intend to add our water heater and our future fireplace to our future contract. Finding an ethical service and repair company is like finding gold. We highly recommend McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning.

After interviewing 5 different HVAC companies, we settled on McCrea based on salesperson's professionalism, price, knowledge of their equipment, and willingness to clearly explain our options and providing suggestions on the systems that would best fit our needs. Salesperson was Kris Kimmell. Agreed on a price (best of our 5 options) and scheduled our installation within a week. Installers, Brian and James, showed up on the scheduled date and time and had all necessary equipment to complete the job. Pretty straight forward installation in an unfinished basement with no walls enclosing the furnace unit. Installed interior and exterior units (Trane furnace and accompanying AC component outside). Professional installation, no damage to entrances or equipment, and spotless clean-up. Inspected and approved by Fairfax County inspector within a few days with no problem since all work associated with the installation was brought up to current building codes by McCrea. Even had a follow up call from Gwen at McCrea to ensure all went well, clarify any questions we might have on the warranties, and to remind us to schedule the County inspection. This transaction was a pleasure from beginning to end. First time experience with the company and would definitely recommend.

Bridget politely answered my call and connected me to the dispatcher (?) Danielle. She answered my call around 3pm and immediately emailed her technician out in the field, Scott Rogerson. He was finishing up a job about half an hour away, and he agreed to add me. About 20 minutes later he called to say he was on his way. He arrived, put on protective slippers, and got right to work. He handled the tests expertly and was polite and personable. He explained the workings of the furnace in a way that made complete sense to me. He discovered the problem quickly (a bug that had flown in through the air intake was clogging something--he showed it to me). He vacuumed the unit thoroughly, re-tested, and all was well, luckily for me. He gave me good maintenance advice, refused a tip, and was on his way by about 4:40. The cost? Just the service charge of $109.95--I was elated, and the furnace now works as it should. Thank you to Bridget, to Danielle, and to Scott Rogerson. Thanks also, to McCrea. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. Reliable, and professional! Couldn't ask for better!

Work required to resolve the issue was executed confidently by Dennis McGuckin, who was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Once completed, AC started working right away!

It went well. The only thing that was surprising, I was told by the earlier repairman not to worry about replacing the filter on the old system since I was getting a new one. Therefore, I didn't buy any filters. When the new system came with no filters and I had to run out and buy some, I was pretty surprised. Friends have told me their new systems came with a couple, or a years worth, but no one has had an experience like this.

We like them, the only thing is they don't do weekends or evenings. They do a good job when they are here, it's just a headache scheduling them. I think their price is right in line with others. The workers seem knowledgeable and professional.

I've had McCrea since 1994. I moved into a new house and they were the ones who installed all of the systems so I have had a service contract with them since then. They are really good. I knew the owner, he used to come out by himself and see if I had a problem. They train their people very very well. There is no high turnover. People have careers in that company. Even if they are a little bit more expensive than anybody else, I trust them. They are very responsive. They have 24 hour on-call service, and they have people who work at night. One time years and years ago I was very sick and came out of the hospital and then my system was not working and there was somebody who came over at 11:30 at night and fixed the AC for me. Of course they charged extra, but at least there were available. On their price, I don't know anybody else, I have not tried anybody else since 1994, so I don't know how much other people would cost and make a comparision. I would use them again. My first impression of the company was their professionalism, expertise and knowledge, and really their willingness to be helpful. They really take their job seriously. They really take pride in their work. It is not a job for them, it is a challenge. If something is wrong with the unit, they kiknd of fight with it, like how could you do this!

Just paid the initial fee for nothing. I did not get any answers

We met with several companies and the salesman with McCrea was the easiest to talk to and deal with. He never tried to oversell/upsell and he thoroughly explained the differences between the different brands and systems. Installation was flawless and the crew was very neat. We would highly recomment them!

We have used McCrae for 20 years, and they've done a good job. We have had a contract with them and they have always been reasonable and been fair priced. We have never had any complaints and when we compaired pricing it has always been right there were it should be. We have always been pleased.

Greg and Justin of McCrea provided excellent service. Greg, on the management side, was a pleasure to work with and addressed our questions and concerns with complete professionalism. Justin, on the technician side, was spectacular in his ability to assess the HVAC problem, explain the issues, immediately order the needed parts and quickly return within a business day to complete the repair. Excellent on all accounts!

Excellently. My service tech Scott Rogerson, was extraordinary. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He determined that the problem was due to the incorrect coils having been installed with the new system in 2014.. He explained every issue to me and showed me what was incorrect. He ordered the parts and returned quickly to install them, working very neatly and cleanly. He acknowledged that the incorrect parts had been ordered and installed and that McCrea would take responsibility. Even though the system warranty came with only one year labor, he wrote the work order to cover the parts and labor under warranty. My only cost was the $99 diagnostic fee which will be reimbursed by my insurance company. I am most appreciative for the great customer service McCrea has shown me. I am particularly appreciative for the excellent work Scott performed. I am very impressed with the honesty and integrity of McCrea and it's technicians and will highly recommend this company.
