McCrea has been servicing my home unit for 9 years and every service appointment has been timely and informative. Scott has been the technician on-site for this period of time and he is outstanding; knowledgeable, personable, interactive and thorough with his inspections.

They delivered what they promised! Mark Walker, sale manager for The Home Depot and McCrea, worked very hard to get our 2 new Carrier units, even though equipment in short supply. The McCrea installation team got our new units up and running beautifully. We are grateful to the dedication, and hard working of every body involved to get the job done right.

From the estimate appointment (Mark) to the install (Charles, Christian and Justin), McCrea employees were professional, courteous, punctual, responsive and hard working. It was an all day job. The work areas were left clean. Charles explained the install and systems to me before leaving. New A/C seems to be working great. Heat hasn’t been used yet. McCrea handled the permits and product registrations. Gwyn communicated with me promptly after the install regarding both.

All, This company is a big scam collecting annual service contract without performing service. I called them this month for my annual maintenance to schedule & they are scheduling for August so when I asked them if I sign a annual contract paying two services per year but i could get only one service but they get paid for two services. When I questioned them i need a service in May so called in April so if you are going to schedule for August I miss my maintenance schedule therefore the performance of the units which they don't care since they care about pocketing money even signing a annual contract. I recommend to move away from this fraudulent practice by moving to someone who provide the same service instead of signing up with them. I found a service provider who is charging $450/annual contract for two visits and this is the market rate at present. Apple to apple contract comparison

It was fine as always. I switch to them and they were great and they did a great job.

Kris (Sales) was professional, understood my requirements & was able to provider me with an virtual quote that was easy to read & detailed. We met once prior to the install. I was able to get the install scheduled within a week, too. The Replacement & Install Project Manager and Technicians (Chris, Justin, & Rudy) were on-time, professional, courteous, organized, and quick! Overall, from quote to install, this was an outstanding experience! I will be recommending McCrea to my friends.

Aside from installing a new Carrier gas furnace, they installed a state-of-the-art thermostat. The comfort specialist, Chris B., was very responsive and helpful in helping me decide what to buy, as well as providing help after installation. The two installers, Chris M. and Justin B. were very personable and very neat during removal and installation of the furnaces. Overall, very satisfied. Very commendable job.

First their price came in 40% less than a competitor. I couldn't believe in. I decided to upgrade the original to a two stage compressor and I was still 20% less than the competitor quoted me for a lessor unit. I also noticed that they took what was there from before and redid a lot of the plumbing and electrical. In the end I had a much better solution. You could see that the technician took pride in his work.

The team showed up timely and rapidly started their work professionally. The team placed tarps to prevent damage to our house. They worked all day self sufficiently and at the conclusion of their work notified us when the work was done and demonstrated to us the newly installed equipment. Both team members were professionals and I would highly recommend both them and McCrae again.

Sad. System is old. Just a matter of time before needing replacement. The technician was extremely helpful answering my questions. Very patient. Extremely knowledgeable.

McCrea is the original installer of my home hvac so I went with them. The technician was punctual BUT did not wear a mask during the Covid-19 pandemic or shoe protectors over his shoes. He diagnosed that 1 thermostat needed to be replaced without fully diagnosing the issue. He quoted $355 plus the $69 trip charge. The thermostat he quoted is $65 or less at multiple stores. He stated it was the only one he had on the truck. I understand a labor charge but that is outrageous. We paid the trip charge and declined the repair. I called the office and asked for a cheaper thermostat. She stated they have one for around $200 and will check with the parts department for availability and call me back. She never called back. We replaced the thermostat ourselves and it didn't fix the problem. I called another reputable repair company and he did a thorough diagnosis and found that the transformer was broken, not the thermostat. He fixed the issue. He also wore a mask and shoe protectors. I feel we wasted $69 trip charge with McCrea.

McCrea replaced a 20 year old HVAC system with a new Trane 4-ton XL16i condenser, XV80 furnace and new coils. The salesman, Mark, was very responsive to my request for quote changes or additional items, including financing options. He was very knowledgeable and patient through the entire process as I worked with other companies for competing quotes. As a result of Mark’s recommendations and excellent pricing, I added on a new Aprilaire 1210 filter box (including replacing a portion of the return duct work/box) and an Aprilaire 600M whole house humidifier. I was able to schedule install four days after signing the contract. The installers, Charles and Christian, arrived on time and removed the old and installed the new in about 7 hours. They provided an overview of system operation and cleaned up so well, you couldn’t tell that a significant installation had occurred. I would recommend McCrea, especially Mark, Charles, and Christian to anyone...they were professional and did an excellent job. My home is so much more comfortable with a system that will be better on the summer and winter utility bills.

Very pleased with all aspects of McCrea's service. They were very responsive and professional in all areas. They were the lowest price and highest value. They provided several options based on price and performance. We chose the maximum performance option as it was within our budget. Their installers were here on time and completed removal of the old system and installation of the new system in about 5 hours. The outdoor unit is outside my office window and it is so quiet I do not hear it running. We would definitely use McCrea again.

Pretty bad! Didn’t fix the issues with bathroom fans that make loud thumping noise when not in use. Tried calling for follow up and the person just says please hold and waited for over 10 minutes in three occasions and still no one is available. Their principles of honesty and integrity are just some buzz words - no substance or efforts being put on. Very unprofessional Customer Service representatives from receptionist to all the way up to management.

It was good by large. But i did not like it. When they realize that the piece was wrong. Never told me the piece was wrong. I had overheard they talking to the people in the office. Explaining the piece was too big.

It was a pleasure to work with such a professional company. They were awesome, courteous and experienced, timely and I can't say enough about them! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Overall McCrea did a good job with my Sept 23, 2019, HVAC installation. The POSITIVES significantly outweigh the negatives: · They had the best price out of 6 proposals. · They agreed to add an additional HVAC return to the basement free of charge ($250). · They leveled my second old existing heat pump without asking...free of charge…I really liked that. · They told me that Fairfax county does a free inspection upon request. I’ve never had an installer tell me this…it is not in their interest to do so. The county inspection was primarily electrical but it was good to have even that independently reviewed. · They responded within 2 hours after I called about an installation problem. It turned out a condensate PVC pipe was installed wrong and tripped a cutoff switch. Everyone makes mistakes. I give them credit on this one because they responded quickly and repaired it quickly. · I requested a Trane and NATE certified installer and McCrea sent out Greg Dworchak who, along with 2 others did an excellent job. They were competent and friendly and answered all my questions very well. One NEGATIVE: · I liked the first sales person (Kris Kimmmel) who gave the initial proposal...very professional and friendly. My only concern was that he went on vacation and the follow up was slow. He did tell me he would be on vacation with limited email access. I emailed my intention to move forward on the proposal by the required date but the response was too late to get the significant Trane rebate. Weeks later I received a call from another representative (Chris Aiani) and he provided an acceptable proposal although it was a lower SEER unit (XR14) instead of the XR16i I originally wanted. Chris apologized to me about this and said they were re-organizing to provide more sales support and that this should not happen again.

Same team of folks at McCrea have been servicing our HVAC for years in two separate houses in the area. Decided to have my old builder-grade system replaced. They did a great job! Very professional crew! Good employee continuity leads to good results. Highly recommend!!!

They are very good and responsive. They are a little pricey but their service is excellent. I would highly recommend them and I would hire them again.
