Description of Work: Jason and Shammion came for my winter system inspection. They did an excellent and thorough job. Over the years I've had many good technicians come and inspect the system; however, these two did an exceptional job. They recommended a part which was covered under my warranty and cleaned out feathers and wasp nests. My thanks to them.

Description of Work: I have a bronze plan with McCrea Heating and Cooling. On January 6, 2016, I had a routine inspection that found the unit to be in good working order. The outside unit for my heat pump was making a rattling sound. McCrea came out on February 11, 2016 and diagnosed the need for a sensor / board replacement after claiming the unit did not go into defrost mode. The replacement was completed on February 18, 2016 for $403. The noise was still being heard and McCrea was called back to the house. The technician still failed to find the source of the noise. He declared that there was a severe refrigerant leak that was probably coming from the the coil in the attic. A repair or replacement of the evaporator coil was recommended. I called a different company who added some refrigerant and sprayed soapy water on the interior of the outside unit. The leak was identified as coming from the outdoor coil. Furthermore, it was revealed that a bad compressor was probably making the noise that shook until causing the leak. In sum, a relatively minor repair has turned into an $8,000 replacement.

Description of Work: Inspect and clean two gas furnesses. Called because attic gas furness was not working. He located the problem which was the igniter. He ordered the part and replaced it two days later.
