Chris, Greg and Robert worked outside and in the attic in 90 degree weather not complaining at all about the heat. They did an awesome job taking the old out and putting the new in. The guys were friendly and knowledgeable, explained everything to me. I would recommend this company to anyone needing to replace heating and ac. Great job guys.

Great install. This is the second time I have used McCrea for an HVAC install and would definitely recommend their services. Chris, Robert and Greg were an awesome install team.

I had expected that this service call would check my complete HVAC system, but it turned out the Angie's List deal would only address a single problem. I had suspected this before they came so I pre-discussed this with the office. They incorrectly told me the complete system would be checked, but it was not. I ended up purchasing a service contract which I had planned to do anyway.

The technician was punctual and professional. He was thorough and showed me the problem.

The installers showed up on time, were very pleasant and professional. They installed the unit immediately and worked straight through without a break until the job was completed. Explained the workings of the unit to me in detail and made sure they answered all my questions before I left. My only concern was that the address on the invoice was incorrect (meaning that it almost got registered for a warranty to my neighbor's house). I believe I was charged a little more than the unit/installation should have cost, but was happy with their performance. I will write more in a year from now on how the unit has performed.

A/C Unit was going out. Called McCrea and Scott Rogerson came to the house and inspected the A/C unit. After inspection he recommended a New Furnace and A/C unit. The old unit was 30 years old, Very professional and the new unit was installed today. Greg and Ruben installed the new unit very professional and did a nice clean job. Showed me all the ins and outs and made sure everything was working properly. Proposal and installed price was the same. I would recommend this company to all my friends.

Our A/C compressor died, it was too old to put more money into so I called several companies to get bids for a replacement. McCrea was my 3rd bid of 4 that I got. Kris called me back very quickly after my call to their offices. He was able to schedule an appointment the next day. More than 45 minutes before our appointment he called to say he was stuck in traffic and he was going to be late. He did arrive 20 minutes late, 95 south was really bad that day. Kris took his shoes off and came in the house. We talk for a few minutes about the type of system we wanted and the he was off to the basement and outside. Kris then gave me estimates for two units. He explained that the was a rebate from Trane at it would expire on the 15th. There was no hard sell and he answer my questions. The next day I called to schedule, the first available slot was a week away in the afternoon. On the morning of my install, Kris called to confirmed that my units were loaded on the truck. I was able to call Kris for updates on their ETA. Jonni and Robert came late afternoon to do the install. They walked the property with me discussed the bushes and using the walk-up basement stairs to bring in and out the furnace. They placed a drop cloth over the carpet in the basement. Several hours later they were done. Jonni explained the new thermostat to me. Robert asked me if I wanted to keep the bricks my old unit was sitting on. They both are very polite and professional. The house was clean, all the trash had been hauled away.

Service Technician Matt Marfinetz was very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions clearly and kept the focus on exactly what I needed. He added a personal touch and was very efficient.

It was time to replace my twenty-five year old furnace and heat pump. Even as an experienced engineer, trying to select the right equipment and then the right company to do the installation was not an easy process. Residential HVAC systems are no longer simply "On and Off." There are a variety of equipment and control selection decisions that can be confusing. I wanted the job done right! The job was done "Right." It started with help from McCrea to select the right equipment and controls. Then Robert and Roni installed the new HVAC system. They did an exceptional job. It is all in the details, doing all the little things that make the installation go smoothly. Experience has no substitute. This was a professional installation from the time they arrived until they left.

Unfortunately, it appears that everyone dropped the ball and we were forgotten! I called the morning they were to come install it (Thursday) and OOOPPPS!!! "Oh MyGosh, we are all so sorry... We have no open appointments for next 2 weeks!!!" WHAT??? I spoke to several people and finally the Sales manager called me back and he said they would be out first thing Saturday morning to install it! Then on Friday at 5 PM , I was called and they asked if they could come over at 8pm that night to install it! Heck yes, you can!!!! Chris and Greg arrived and immediately went to work... They did an excellent job, very thorough and they cleaned up after themselves!! They were very kind and helpful! my husband and I were both very impressed! 2 weeks later, everything is working well and we are very pleased, even though we did have a minor hiccup!!

The salesman/proposal writer, Mark Walker, was superior. He came to the house to assess the scope of the job and was on time. He prepared and presented a proposal as requested and in the time frame promised. He was available to discuss questions and always got back to me within a few hours. He made adjustments to the proposal and confirmed them in writing. He established an installation date within my desired range. His proposal price was the least expensive of 4 other HVAC contractors and his terms were the most generous to the customer. The installation crew (Ray, Robert & Jonni) were also superior. They arrived on the date and time previously promised. They had the correct equipment and the necessary tools to make the installation proceed smoothly. They were professionals who knew their jobs. They completed the installation in the time they estimated and cleaned up when the job was done. I was particularly impressed that they did not leave until they were sure the newly installed system was running satisfactorily and that I understood the controls necessary to make the system perform as I wanted. Overall I could not have asked for a more favorable experience. The system was delivered as proposed with no changes in price or terms and conditions.

My fee was based on an Angies List coupon that I used. It was simple and easy to pay/print and give to Matt when he completed the service call. This is a very busy season so it might take some time to get on their schedule, so do it sooner than later.

It went very well. The service team was polite and knowledgeable. They arrived on time and went right to work. Worked for the 4.5 hours that it took nonstop. They were clean...very respectful of my home. They were pleasant and answered all questions. Once equipment was installed they explained everything to me. I would highly recommend them. I have used them for 15 years and they always provided good service on my old system.

McCrea installed this Carrier Infinity System several years ago, and I have held a service contract with them since then. This company is very responsive and does awesome work. Joe Tran is the technician I request because he does excellent work and is very thorough.

They advertise they have business hours on Saturday 8 -12. When I attempted to make an appointment for Saturday they said it would be an extra charge because it was not within their business hours. I did not use.

I contacted McCrea after hours for an issue with my less than 3 year old system (new home) not working. I left a message with their after hours service and got no further response than one attempt to call me. The following morning I gave them until 8:20 to call and they did not, so I called them. I was then informed that even though this is a brand new system less than 3 years old, the labor was only covered for the first year and that they had no appointments until next Tuesday and they did not seem to care one bit that I have a 2 year old child (who developed a heat rash overnight) that now has to deal with 90+ degree temps and not being able to open the windows due to rain in the forecast. When this information was provided, the representative made absolutely no attempt to assist me further and even said that I should call another company for service, so I informed her that I would be submitting an Angies list review and contact another company.

Overall, McCrea did an outstanding job and I would be more than happy to give a recommendation, in person. Not only did McCrea exceed my expectations with the work they performed, they beat their competitors prices by a huge margin. I received 4 quotes for this Carrier HVAC system, and a local small business quoted $13,500; Sears quoted $12,700, and Michael and Sons wanted approx $12,200. McCrea saved me over $2,500 on a $10K job! From my observations and research, the reason McCrea is so competitive with their pricing is because the small businesses can't beat a large company's price due to bulk sales; Sears uses multiple subcontractors for everything and is just a middle-man to other businesses who do all the work; and Michael & Sons advertises soooo often on TV that you probably pay a $2K premium just to cover their advertising costs. Michael & Sons literally advertise non-stop on the Today show with Matt Lauer, and the Nightly News, so I imagine that amount of commercials will cost a pretty penny that has to be recouped somehow. With McCrea, I dealt only with McCrea employees. Kris Kimmell was my go-to guy with all questions, pricing, options, etc., and he didn't try to sell me more than I needed (unlike Michael and Sons), he promptly returned my calls, and he gave me the details I sought. The installation team, Robert and Jonni, showed me all of the nuances of the system, were very professional, and actually worked for McCrea, unlike the other quotes I received who had a variety of subcontractors and partners, that can cause confusion and drive up costs as every layer wants a profit for their efforts. The guy that came to our house was incredibly informative. He gave me a quick tutorial on our boiler and how it worked and why it was being inefficient. While there wasn't much he could do to fix our situation, he gave us some great tips on how to keep the house warmer and what our options were if we wanted to set up a second heat source. He was very friendly and professional.

Went extremely well. The installers were very knowledgeable and professional. Would recommend to my friends and family. Will use this company again when I need to replace my aging furnace, possibly within the next year.

Quite uneventful. They showed up as promised, removed the old equipment and installed the new equipment as contracted. Systems have functioned quite well since the installation.

The technician was very thorough in explaining the inspection steps and current condition of my gas furnace unit. He showed up on time and completed the work in about 1 hour.

You must make the appointments and follow up with them. They do go through the systems to check on their state and they recommend repairs and maintenance not covered by the contract.

My 14 years old house had real problems in the winter with static, dry air and cracking hard wood floors so we decided to install a Aprilaire whole house humidifer on our gas furnace. They came right over free of charge, inspected the area and gave use an estimate answering all of my questions knowledgably. They ordered the needed equipment (quick turn around time) the tech came over exactly on time and did the install. He was very neat and quickly responded to all of my many questions with friendly courteous answers. The end result was a neat quick install with all wiring, tubes and parts routed out of the way and tied down perfectly. After cleaning up the area the tech made sure I was fully satisfied and that all of my questions were answered along with going over the functions of the new equipment,

Team arrived as scheduled, went right to work and completed the entire renovation in a timely manner. Team was efficient, courteous and very knowledgeable in the job. (Don't replace your HVAV without calling McCrea)
