On 12/13/16 we requested a price for replacing the outdoor portion of our heat pump. We have not received so much as a phone call. Why provide a means of contact through Angie's List if you are not going to respond?

Dennis McGuckin was outstanding! Our heating system was not working properly over the last few days and, with winter approaching and two newborn babies in the home, we were concerned and seeking a remedy asap. McCrea responded immediately and sent a technician to our home immediately. Dennis was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and respectful. He not only diagnosed and repaired the problem with the heating system in short order, he also explained the problem set and its solution in layman's terms that were easy to understand. McCrea is the contractor that provided the HVAC systems and support for the development I bought a new construction home in, last year (2015). We have had several problems with the HVAC components in our home (and so have MANY of our neighbors). Upon servicing the units when coming to our house they have identified several installation issues (improperly fitted lines, low refrigerant levels at install, etc.) which was interesting as they are the original installers. They seem to be very interested in coming back to fix their poor work which makes me question their business model. Each time they have pushed me and pushed me to pay for their annual service agreement which seemed to be a total waste. In living in the home we have found shoddy installation work on both units and had a massive condensation leak in our heat pump because the installer never glued the drain line segments together OR fastened the drain line to a support beam. When the summer weather started the heat expansion caused the PVC line to disconnect and all the condensation poured into our ceiling upstairs, stained the drywall and caused damage to some sections. Upon inspection it was clear that the PVC line was not glued properly. They smeared glue on the outside of the coupler which is totally wrong and i discovered that more than one piece of line were not glued. It was fixable without much trouble but at the cost of stained and warped drywall that now needs repair. The company has been difficult to deal with on many topics and seems mostly focused on selling warranties and service plans, not doing quality work for their customers. We will NEVER use them again.

I have a service contract with Mccrea. They always arrive within the window given and are swift and courteous. I plan to continue using them.

Everything went well, system is in good working order. Very professional staff.

Carl brought the "A" Team of professional, hard-working and friendly specialists who worked under difficult climate and home design conditions to install our new Trane HVAC system, including digital thermostats, all of which performs beautifully, as promised. It's a major upgrade for us and a difficult job for them, but everything was handled efficiently and as promised.

McCrea is dependable. The semi-annual contract is the way to go. The techs are well informed, never hurrying or rushing, they're highly professional & courteous to a fault. The install of the new Reme Halo went flawlessly & Chris went though the features for us to understand the new system. We're highly satisfied with McCrea and we commend Chris F. for his knowledge, enthusiasm & courtesy.

It was one of those real hot days back in August, and my old AC system failed on just about the hottest day of the summer. I was facing heart surgery in a few days and really needed this AC to be operational. Jonni and Ray of McCrea Heating and AC did a great job removing the old system and getting the new system installed and running. They even found a clogged vent up on the roof that I didn't even know existed. It looked like some critter had built a nest in it. Jonni and Ray removed the debris and cleaned it up. These guys were clean, fast, and professional. I could not be happier.

I was very impressed with the service we received yesterday from McCrea Heating and Air. The technician that came to our home, Stephen Yates, was so professional, courteous, kind, and friendly. He called both me and my husband (when he couldn't reach me) to let us know he was on his way and when he would arrive. He came on time, went right to work, and was very knowledgeable of our system and of what needed to be done. It was a pleasure to have him in our home. They were very reasonable with the cost and lots of different payment options. They were able to schedule that minute. It was done efficiently, very reasonbale cost, on time and met expectations.

It is a large company so unfortunately I don't really ever see the same person twice. The quality of service depends on which guy comes out, and whether or not he has experience on our system because we've got a high tech system so if they're not totally in tune with that particular system then I better get somebody else out here. They're not all trained equally. They are generally here pretty quickly. If it's an air conditioning issue, they are going to show up within 24 hours. They give me a window and they are generally in that window. They are always in uniform with truck with marker, and they put on their little booties and all that stuff.

Jonni, Brian, Gram and Ray were the four technicians on our job today. They replaced both units on our home. All were very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They did a great job replacing the heat pumps and furnaces. They showed me how to use the new system and replace the air filters. I highly reccommend these gentlemen as well as McCrea for heating and cooling.

When my AC unit failed me, McCrea's sales rep explained all my options very clearly. He then sent my quotes on all the systems that we had discussed. Their quote was the best one I got. After making my decision, they came out and completed the job in about 6 hours (removal of old system and installation of new one). The technicians (Brian and Graham) were very professional. They explained everything as they went along. When the job was complete, they provided me a detailed explanation of the new system. They showed me every part of the new system, and listened carefully to my questions. They answered all my questions and were very thorough and took all the time I needed to feel very comfortable with my purchase. I was very satisfied with the whole process and would recommend them to anyone.

They did a perfect job. Even though the work included removing the old units from our attic and carrying them down to the ground level, they covered all the floors with protection and didn't do any damage to walls on our narrow stairs. The installation team were cheerful and efficient. They completed all the work ahead of schedule and that included testing the system, programming both thermostats for us and ensuring we understood how the new systems work. The team obviously enjoyed their jobs and working together as we could hear their conversations and they were cheerfully working together and helping each other and communicating well. The estimate process up front was also refreshing. We were given an education about how to compare systems, given multiple choices and there was no high pressure to go with the most expensive options or to go with this company. We were even encouraged to get other estimates.

Excellent work. Started around 10:30AM; finished at 5:00PM. Showed photos of all work done in the attic (installation of new a/c unit) and external unit. Brian and Graham were very professional and thorough. They explained all the paperwork provided, what was installed, and the programming of the thermostat controls including their recommended settings.

Technician showed up on time and quickly identified / resolved the leak issue. We also went through a full A/C system diagnostic and covered different options for a maintenance plan vs upgrading our system (ours is about 20 yrs old).

Ray, Jonni and Shammion did an excellent job and the work was performed in a timely and professional manner. Ray made sure that we understood how the systems work and how to navigate the thermostat. Installation went well (need to come back to replace circuit breaker). Cleaned up after themselves, gave rudimentary instruction on thermostat, completed job in about 6 hrs. Jonni and Ray were the technicians.

The installers were professional and efficient. They left the work area cleaner than it was before the work. They had to completely remove the old units and replace everything. They explained how the new system worked and showed us how to operate the new thermostat.

It was excellent. Workers Brian and Rob were excellent. They answered my questions and welcomed owner involvement so that they could explain what was changing and what I could look for in the future if owner diagnostics were necessary. The salesman John, listened to my concerns about the heat in the upstairs unit and recommended another heating system that had better insulation and will perform better in the future. Installer Brian showed me extra electrical switch boxes.

First very friendly upon arrival. Explained what I did before calling which is check filter, clean around compressor etc.. He checked the fileter, make sure the unit was working and then went out outside to check the compressor and knew right away what the problem was. No more refrigerant. He was very efficient and fast and also honeys to let me know before he started how much it will cost me. He also took the time to answer all My questions and concerns. Very happy with the level of services do will use again. Hopefully not too soon, lol
