Description of Work: The original vendor sold the company to Crop Metcalfe, which created scheduling issues. This also inflated the price of the proposed work. Ultimately I had to spend more money to not "lose" my original deal.

Description of Work: The service provided was the replacement of a leaking garbage disposal. After the initial contact the service tech was at our home in 30 minutes, had a well supplied van with all the replacement parts readily available and in under 2 hrs I had a new disposal installed, area was cleaned and the old unit was removed for disposal. Very professional.

Description of Work: I called Peed Plumbing when I had an emergency pipe break. They were the first in the area that I had contacted that could send someone out same-day. The only down side was the $195 emergency fee. They sent out a Friendly and professional Plumber (I believe his name was David). He quickly tracked down a hard to find break (it was at ground level, but because it was spraying upwards the water was coming down from the ceiling) . The repair was fast, even though he had to run back to the shop for parts. Total time was about 2 hours. |- Their Plumber was very friendly and professional |- The work was quality, and he found a leak quickly that was difficult to track down. |- They were able to get out to my house same day. |I would recommend them for day to day stuff, the only hesitation for emergency work is the $195 fee, but it is fairly standard for the plumbing business to have emergency charges, so it is really hard to knock them for that. |

Description of Work: Had a problem with a toilet that caused a slow leak that went through the ceiling in a room below. The technician appeared as soon as possible and fixed the leak very quickly. The price was quite reasonable and he gave us some good advise about replacing the old toilet in question. I would definitely use this company again.

+ -1 moreWhen we discovered the leak, we had the water shut off at the meter and then called three plumbing companies to give us repair estimates. Matt came to our house and gave us the Peed Plumbing estimate. It was clear from the start that he was an expert plumber. He assessed the situation and explained the details of the repair that he proposed. He then took measurements and calculated his cost estimate. His was the highest of the three estimates we received, but he was willing to match the price of another company that had recommended the same repair method (the 3rd company recommended a "pull-through" method that we did not trust). Matt was really great to deal with. We especially liked his apparent expertise, patience in answering our questions, and very pleasant character that was still intact after a very long and physically hard day's work. His craftsmanship and pride in doing the job right was evident as we watched him work. We recommend Matt very highly.
Description of Work: Matt replaced the water service line that runs from the water meter into the house. The original plastic line used by the home builder broke underground. After getting the Utility co to mark the utility lines, Matt hand dug down to locate all utility lines. He then brought in a boring machine to bore a hole from the water meter to the house. He drilled through the foundation, installed a PVC sleeve in the foundation hole, and ran the heaviest gauge (K) copper pipe from the meter, through the foundation, and into the basement. He made all of the pipe connections in the basement, replaced the old pressure controller, and installed a new ball type water shutoff valve. The pipe fitting and installation in the basement really is top quality. Matt tested the system, sealed the foundation where he had drilled through, filled all the holes in the yard, replanted a boxwood that he had removed, and sowed grass seed over the filled holes.
