Window World of Tidewater

Window World was one of 6 estimates I obtained. Best value for the money. Most significant to me - I needed help moving heavy pieces of furniture in order to get to all the windows. The sales representative told me that the installation crew would help me. He was true to his word. They assisted me with a smile and a kind word. I appreciate this very much No other company I contacted offered this assistance. The crew arrived at the time and date promised, removed and disposed of all the old windows and installed the new windows. They left the yard and inside of the house cleaner than they found it. Not a speck anywhere. Wonderful. Job was completed in less than 4 hours on a very cold day. I was concerned as to how I would keep myself warm with windows being replaced. Did not have to worry. They did each window individually and put the new window in very quickly. I didn't lose any heat in my home. Excellent!! Operation of the windows was demonstrated to me thoroughly and I was given very clear instructions on when I could put the blinds and curtains back up. I am extremely pleased with the entire job.

We had a great experience. We went into showroom, picked what we wanted, had someone come out for measurements, they called with exact price, install date, and lived up to that quote & date. We only have 11 windows, so job was completed in one day. The crew was professional, polite & cleaned up inside & out. Highly recommend, and we would use again.

The guy that came to my house did a really good job measuring things. A whole group of people came out to put the windows in. I was kind of looking at them and monitoring. I wasn't feeling well that day, but I noticed some slacking. I'm not sure my door is the one I wanted. The door I picked was solid and the one I have isn't solid.

I am a property manager. We have a large number of homes that we manage and Window World is very easy to work with. They have great customer service, a wonderful product with very good prices. In this particular house, the large window over the front door just slipped out of the frame because of moisture damage. Peter went right out to evaluate and recommended replacing two other windows as well that the tenant had not realized were rotting as well. The windows were ordered, came in and installed in a timely manner...as continues to be the case. I have found Peter to be extreamly personable, professional and trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

I am very impressed with Window World and plan to have them replace my other windows as my budget allows. Courtney responded to my initial inquiry, and she was friendly and helpful. The salesman, Andrew Clore, was prompt, courteous, and professional. He explained thoroughly what was involved in replacing my window, which was installed when my condo was built, and the options available to me. He was able to give me a firm price during the consulation--no waiting around for an estimate--and he did not pressure me to go for the more expensive options, although I did upgrade. Nor did he pressure me to replace all of my windows at one time. The four members of the installation team were also prompt, courteous, and professional, plus efficient. It took them a little under an hour to replace my old window. The warranty is outstanding, and, because Window World both made and installed the window, I won't need to ricochet between a manufacturer and an installer should a problem arise (which I don't expect to happen, but you never know). As I said, when I get around to replacing my five remaining windows, I will definitely have Window World manufacture and install them.

Our home is almost 30 years old and the windows were drafty and in poor shape. Our salesperson (David Prysock) presented and followed up on our questions. We had appointments with other window service providers, and none of them followed through with us after the initial appointment. So we were pleased with David. He explained the product and service, measured the windows and answered all our questions. The Window World contractors arrived timely, were friendly, thorough and worked expeditiously. We were impressed with the professionalism of all we had contact with and the price and warranty can't be beat. The windows are beautiful and we couldn't be happier! They will be installing doors for us also. This was a good choice for us.

They are an excellent company. They deliver on time and came in and did the work in one day like they promised. They were very courteous. The windows were good and I was satisfied with them. They cleaned up after they were done and I was extremely pleased.

It was pretty cut and dry. They did a good job and they weren't pushy. It was here's our quote, here's our information, and basically use it as you wish. They were willing to ensure that the windows were in conformity with the home owners association.

They were fantastic. They came and were done in a day. They cleaned up their mess. I had dreaded it and there was nothing to it. We were really happy with their services. Since then one of our windows was cracked from our house settling. They came and completely replaced it with no problem. I would definitely recommend them.

Their rates were much lower than some other estimates I received. They did what they told me they were going to do. They sent out a large crew and were able to finish quickly. They cleaned out well inside and outside. They are coming back out to replace one window that was a little higher than the others and I am still waiting for the window to be delivered. There was a delay on the work because of a thunder storm, but once they had a full dry day they were right back to work.

Went great! Jeff told us the turn around time to have the windows would be about 3 weeks from when we ordered them and he was exactly right. Install went great and I now have nice windows in my home!

Did a price check from 3 different window company's...Window World bet all others by 200 dollars on the quote. From start to finished I loved the company. Salesman made the purchase easy, then when the windows came in received a phone to set up my time for installation. Took the 6 man crew a few short hours to install the windows.

They are very very professional. They are meticulous and make sure that they do the job right. They go above and beyond to make sure that things are not just the windows put in, but they make sure that the wrapping and everything else is done in a professional manner. They cleaned up after themselves. When they leave, we’ll never even know that they were there. Their pricing was very good and reasonable.

They did the whole job in one day. They cleaned up after the work and I have referred them to others. If something ever goes wrong with the windows, they just replace the whole widow. They are reasonable. What a difference the widows have made with noise.

We scheduled three estimates. Window World was the second, and their presentation/product/price were virtually identical to the first, so we cancelled the third, chose between the two based on some tiny tiebreakers that aren't worth mentioning, and signed with Window World. The job cost more than we planned, but that was based in part on the lead abatement they had to do on our older house, and the fact that the other estimate was identical gave us the confidence that the price was a fair one. The install was a few weeks later on a day of our choosing, and Tom Perry's crew arrived exactly on schedule and were done in three or four hours. Tom's crew were subcontracted, which I normally shy away from, but they were superb in every possible respect. Lead abatement was by the book, install was quick and smooth, and the fabricated-on-site moldings and final caulking inside and out look amazing. By noon you would never have known they were there. The product and install were exactly what I wanted, the house is quieter, and the whole apperance of the house was improved. I'm normally a do-it-yourselfer, but in this case having the professionals do it was a no-brainer. The window units themselves off-the-shelf would have cost me well over half of Window World's installed price, and there's no way I would have been able to do the molding and caulking job that they did.

I called WIindow World in May 2010 for an estimate on 20 window replacements. Their salesman came out and gave me an very fair estimate. He was extrmemly polite and very low pressure. I trusted him immediately and he seemed very honest. I ended up not doing the remodel because I used the money when my AC unexpectedly quit. I called Window World back one year later in May 2011 and a diffeernt salesman, Kirk Thompson, came out for the estmate. He said they had to re-do the estimate becasue it was a year old and the previous salesman had retired. Mr Thompson did not ask what the previous estmate had been, yet he managed to come in with an estmate only $10.00 more expensive than the previous one. I was very impressed with Mr Thomspson's sales style. He was very polite and very low pressure. He did not talk ugly about his competitors, he only sold me on the value of his company. The installation appointment process was easy and efficient. The installation crew was on-time, very professional, extremely polite and worked fast and hard. There was not one speck of dust or debris left after the crew left my home. The new windows are fantastic and make a huge difference in the look and function of my home..I was very imprressed with Window World and their pricing, employees and work provided. I highly recommend them

We are buying a couple of windows at a time. I have an appointment to have another one installed. This is going to be on going for us. They will let you do that. There is no minimum amount that you have to buy which is wonderful. They are absolutely delightful.

I like their price. They are very knowledgeable and personable. The salesman was great. They cleaned up the job they did. They are very professional and they have a warranty.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was great from the initial meeting to construction. They had the best quality windows. They were also the most competent out of three others that we meet with. We received the windows when promised. The door took longer because it was custom made. The first door we received was defective but they replaced it for no charge. Our heating and energy bill went down significantly. We don't have the solar heat in the summer or drafts. Everything is nice and tight. They were prompt, professional, and efficient. I recommend their services to anyone.

They have been excellent so far. We checked with other window companies. We live in a double wide mobile home. They didn't do a strong sell. They came and measured and said here it was and it was fine if we did or didn't use them, which we loved about them.

Windows were professionally installed, however employees took aluminum when they were specifically told not to remove the aluminum from property.

Very positive experience. Called and had service representative contact me within 2 days to set up appointment to measure windows and provide estimate. Advertised is 189 installed - that is for the basic window. I did get upgraded windows with a discount for almost same price (good deal). There was charge for siding work and disposal (minimal) so the "installed" price is not really the total price. However, even with the siding work and the disposal fee the price was very competitive. When windows came in I was contacted and set appointment up for installation. The two man team showed up 15 min prior to the promised time were very polite and very quick to complete the work. They cleaned up and provided review of work. One issue during install with vinyl trim material to trim out the windows was discolored and the installation technician said it was not of the quality they would installed and asked to be able to return the following day with new material to install properly. They showed up second day and completed the trim work as promised and with quality material. I will be replacing more windows next year and will be using Window World for the work.

On 8/19/11 we ordered our windows. We paid 1/2 down. We were told our windows would be in about 3 wks. 3 wks later (9/8/11) they finally came out and did the real measurements for the casements and the french door. We added another window to the order and they added another $825.00 to the job because of the casement window bucks they forgot on the initial quote. We were assured they would do a great job and there would not be any mess left behind. Weeks went by and we didn't hear anything. Finally on 11/09 they came out about 5 to knock out the bricks to prepare for the door. So now the window installation was to FINALLY happen on 11/14/2011. On 11/14 I came home from work to find a disaster! All the casement windows in the front of my house were the wrong ones. We were suppose to have diamond grids but instead we got colonial grids. They installed a blue door in our bedroom. It was supposed to be white on the inside and blue on the outside. In several areas I found a mess. Whoever did the caulking around the windows must have been in such a hurry they didn't care how they did it. It was everywhere. We chose Window World because it had a very good rating. The job they did for us was totally unprofessional.I couldn't believe we paid thousands of dollars for windows and they left us with dirty window handprints and forearm smudges.. My husband and I spent the last three days painting, trying to fix the mess they left. They are supposed to replace the windows next week. Not sure how long the door will take.

After vetting 11 window contractors, I was very pleased with the presentation and estimate I received from Window World, but more importantly I was very pleased with the product and the warranty offered. A crew of five individuals showed up on installation day and within 2 hours all of my 27 year old windows had been removed. The crew was very experienced and they knew their craft. Thirty minutes into the job, their supervisor arrived from another work site and he immediately jumped in and started working. The crew was very thorough and meticulous. Considering the amount of debris that is generated while replacing windows, they did a super job cleaning up. I strongly recommend them.
