Description of Work: unfortunately, I found it necessary to fire True Green after numerous tries to get help on my lawn that was under their care. As the lawn caught a fungus (or something) that progressively got worse, I contnuously asked for someone to diagnose and help restore it. The maintenance attender that would comeout on a regular interval to spray and write up a bill for the visit could not tell me what was wrong. One of his "stand-ins (when he was out) told me that it could have been the excessive heat causing the lawn to erode, especially along the strip that borders the street. I told him , if that were the case, why isn't my neighbor's strip that adjoins mine and continues onto his property eroding. He didn'y know....I called for an analysis technician to come out and give me some answers...after being ignored, I fired them. Then the head manager in Newport News called and offered to come out himself and analyze the problem (at no cost). I told him it was Too late even though I believed he was sincere. I explained that I had had a taste of their lack of responsiveness and that was enough to connvince me that I would probably experience more of the same in the future from his downlines. I found an independant (reliable retired military) worker who I trust........found him on Angie's List.

 + -1 moreI really liked the professional way they represented themselves and how they did exactly what we had asked of them. My husband was very involved with the upkeep of the lawn and we just wanted to try them to see if it could improve our grass in any way. We didn t see anything in particular for results but I really didn t think it could have been improved to start with due to how well he took care of it. This company did everything we asked and treated us fairly. We would recommend them. I honestly don't know if we would hire them again.

 + -1 moreOur lawn was not in the best of shape when we hired Tru Green but it got even worse after they started treating it. They were using far too much chemical fertilizer which was causing the lawn to burn out. There was also no reason to do it every month. We finally decided to deal with the lawn ourselves and it improved right a way.
Description of Work: Tru Green Chem Lawn treated our yard with liquid fertilizer. This was done once a month.

 + -1 moreThe end result was no more weeds and they only had to spray once and the weeds were gone for the entire year. They would show up on time and did very good work. I will continue to use the company year after year. I thought the price was right for each service call.

 + -1 moreThe difference in amount of dandelions and weeds is tremendously less since we began using them. What's nice was we didn t have to be present for them to do the work and could know in the back of our minds that they are working, just as if we were standing there watching them. Their price was just okay for what they did, but the results were nothing we would argue with.

 + -1 moreThey did a pretty good job. They spread the fertilizer pretty well throughout the yard. They called ahead of time before they came to be sure that we were ready for them to come. We have used them for quite a long time and they have kept my grass green and my yard looking nice. The only complaint that I have with them is the price. I felt that it was a bit expensive.
