Description of Work: unfortunately, I found it necessary to fire True Green after numerous tries to get help on my lawn that was under their care. As the lawn caught a fungus (or something) that progressively got worse, I contnuously asked for someone to diagnose and help restore it. The maintenance attender that would comeout on a regular interval to spray and write up a bill for the visit could not tell me what was wrong. One of his "stand-ins (when he was out) told me that it could have been the excessive heat causing the lawn to erode, especially along the strip that borders the street. I told him , if that were the case, why isn't my neighbor's strip that adjoins mine and continues onto his property eroding. He didn'y know....I called for an analysis technician to come out and give me some answers...after being ignored, I fired them. Then the head manager in Newport News called and offered to come out himself and analyze the problem (at no cost). I told him it was Too late even though I believed he was sincere. I explained that I had had a taste of their lack of responsiveness and that was enough to connvince me that I would probably experience more of the same in the future from his downlines. I found an independant (reliable retired military) worker who I trust........found him on Angie's List.

 + -1 moreThey were suppose to make our lawn look better; however that didn't happen. After several treatments to our lawn, it looked worse. The attitude that I got from them was they didn't seem to care. Our lawn looked brown and dead. We had a contract with them for one year so I had to stick with them, however I would not recommend them to anyone.

 + -1 moreI have been very satisfied with their service. I see a noticeable marked improvement in my yard. The grass is green and thick. You can tell which houses in our community use Tru Green by how green their yard is others are just dry and brown. They always show up when they say they will. They come out 6 to 8 times a year. Sometimes they also seed and aerate the yard as well, although that does cost a little bit extra.

 + -1 moreWe really like how our lawn is weed free and very healthy looking. We didn't have to watch over them when they were working because they have earned our confidence in the past. They surpassed our expectation of them and we were very pleased with the results that they gave us.

 + -1 moreI was not here when they applied the service. They left me a note saying what they had done to the yard. I just trust that they did what they said they done. The yard looks okay and they are keeping the weeds away. We have used them for the past four years. The only thing that I am not too fond of is that they had a price increase.

 + -1 moreI really have only had one instance where they kind of made me mad and needed to address them. In the fall, the leaves had not yet been raked and they went ahead and put down fertilizer anyway. After I told them about it, they made it there priority to not let it happen again. We have not had a single problem since. Other than that, they are a nice group of people. They are always on schedule and never cancel any appointments set. I also feel their pricing is very reasonable. I pay them per visit.
Description of Work: True Green Chem Lawn sprays, feeds and fertilizes my lawn every three months to keep it healthy and free from bugs.

 + 0 moreAfter using the company for a while I couldn't see any difference in the lawn. I wasn t too happy with the product used, but I was happy with the workers and the company itself. I would not recommend this company to any one unless they changed their products. They were professional, I think, what they did just didnt make that much of a difference, I mean the chemicals and all. I guess my overall experience was about average.

 + -1 moreWe have been employing Tru Green since the day we moved into our new house. The newly grown grass needed some help. The fertilizer used has done wonders to keep our lawn green and relatively free of weeds. The technicians have been polite, rarely late and conscientious. They have done a good job with our yard.
