Description of Work: unfortunately, I found it necessary to fire True Green after numerous tries to get help on my lawn that was under their care. As the lawn caught a fungus (or something) that progressively got worse, I contnuously asked for someone to diagnose and help restore it. The maintenance attender that would comeout on a regular interval to spray and write up a bill for the visit could not tell me what was wrong. One of his "stand-ins (when he was out) told me that it could have been the excessive heat causing the lawn to erode, especially along the strip that borders the street. I told him , if that were the case, why isn't my neighbor's strip that adjoins mine and continues onto his property eroding. He didn'y know....I called for an analysis technician to come out and give me some answers...after being ignored, I fired them. Then the head manager in Newport News called and offered to come out himself and analyze the problem (at no cost). I told him it was Too late even though I believed he was sincere. I explained that I had had a taste of their lack of responsiveness and that was enough to connvince me that I would probably experience more of the same in the future from his downlines. I found an independant (reliable retired military) worker who I trust........found him on Angie's List.

+ -1 moreI was very happy with this company. They came out exactly when they were supposed to and did good work. I have actually been using them for quite some time. They come out every six weeks to spray the lawn and our lawn looks great.

+ -1 moreI have been using them for 20 years so they've obviously done a good job for me. They didn't give me any hassle or problems. They kept my grass looking pretty and green which is all I asked for. The service people they send are good people with good attitudes. They always have a discount around the 1st of the year. They come out 8 times a year for me. It's $43 per time.
Description of Work: They put down fertilizer, sprayed for weeds and treated my shrubbery.

+ -1 moreI just wasn t getting anything accomplished with the lawn as I wanted, and even after giving it a few treatments there wasn t a noticeable difference. They were persistent that it would take before long, but I just couldn t see spending the money. The lawn wasn t any better off healthy wise than before I started using them.
Description of Work: They sprayed around my yard to kill weeds and also fertilized the grass.

+ -1 moreThey provided a pretty good service. They had come before, but didn't always speak to me. I would prefer that they talk to me when ever they come out to do my lawn. The product they used on my lawn worked very well.

+ -1 moreThey were suppose to make our lawn look better; however that didn't happen. After several treatments to our lawn, it looked worse. The attitude that I got from them was they didn't seem to care. Our lawn looked brown and dead. We had a contract with them for one year so I had to stick with them, however I would not recommend them to anyone.

+ -1 moreI have been using Tru Green for over ten years. They maintained the lawn at my old house as well, and they have always done a great job. The technician is on time, and very personable. The treatments only take twenty minutes, and if there is any areas the need extra treatment he deals with it accordingly. My lawn looks fantastic, and will continue to look that way as long as I stay with Tru Green.
Description of Work: Tru Green Chem Lawn treats my lawn with liquid fertilizer eight times a year. I pay on an annual basis.
