Customer service was excellent, and was able to help fit me in even with very short notice. Technician was very prompt and professional and we were very happy with the service. We will continue to use for termite protection and quarterly pest control.

It went well. The guy was good and he really went above and beyond.

Upon calling them after purchasing the and quot;big dealand quot; from angie's list, they tried to engage is selling their and quot;otherand quot; service which sounded good but after reviewing it in comparison to what I have not really a savings. When the tech showed to the home, he didn't push the change to the new service, which was fine since I already made up my mind not to go with it. The tech said that if it rained within 2 days after treatment, they would be out again to treat. It did rain some on the next day. I called with no answer and emailed and no response. Seems to me more of a pull on the big deal to change to their service then to live up to the service already purchased. Never heard back from them and don't care at this point to.

Our experience with them was okay. They came out and sprayed. They really did not do much. They did not realize that they could not spray, they can only spray in foliage, and our backyard does not have a lot of foliage. That is the part that we use. They did the front yard which was nice, but we do not usually use the front yard. Our backyard does not have grass or anything, and I thought they could just spray everything, but they could not. They had to spray only foliage. He came out, looked at the backyard, and said he could not spray anything back there. So, he sprayed around our front yard. This was the first time we used them. I disliked that they could not spray the backyard, but I do not think that it was their fault. It sounded like it was an industry standard. I would not complain about them as a company. I thought they were a fine company, but I did not think that it was outstanding in any ways. They were good. He was friendly and did the job. I would recommend them.

Everything went well. They did have to reschedule once due to the weather but they came out as scheduled. I will be using them again in the future.

Easy to set up appointment with and came out within a few days of calling. Arrived on time, did inspection of home, sprayed outside perimeter of home, and inside. Since they came out, we have no more ants. I would recommend them to others and plan on using their services again.

had to come back twice to get all the ants, which was covered in the agreement we signed - 2 yrs, I think - haven't had any problem since.

We had tried everything to shut down the mosquito population in our yard. outdoor foggers, spray on treatments, bug zappers.. You name it. And the mosquitos ruled our yard as though we had not done a thing. These guys showed up and treated and we didn't see a flying mosquito for almost three months (and I really think it took a good deal longer for the population to recover to the point that it was an issue again). These guys are great. I recommend the service for anyone that has a serious issue with bugs.

I have yearly problem with ants. They invade the house every year when the weather turns warm. The service was completed right before the first sustained warm spell and there has not been an ant in the house this spring!

I'm still angry. I still have ants and everything. It seemed like more of a sale pitch. The first thing he wanted was for me to buy a contract through them. I already have an annual contract so I do not need one.

Wasn't possible to get the exact slot I wanted, but near enough. Very friendly and helpful young guy did the spraying. Some confusion with what his management had authorised him to do, which took some time to arrange. Generally a good experience.

Mr Scott Gordon from Southern Pest Control called ahead of time to let me know he was on the way, and arrived at the scheduled service time. From the moment I opened the door, throughout the treatment, and to the last handshake, he was courteous and professional throughout the entire service call. He took time to explain the different steps and treatments he would be providing (chemical and granular spras, and posted insect traps), and after completing the service, he went over a number of different follow-on service options that Souther Pest Control offered. The entire service treatment was thorough and neatly executed. Southern Pest Control, and Scott Gordon have my highest personal recommendation for service to anyone in the Hampton Roads area.

It is working, even with the rain we had, we have not had any issues. He went over and beyond what my expectations were and that was appreciated. I do not have the hornets I had before. They came when they said they would and called me ahead. He called me sir the whole time.

the appt. was easy to make and they even had a reminder call my phone a day before to confirm the appt. They showed up on time and when he got here i told him about the ant problem i had outside the house he traced the ant and sprayed there. overall it was a good experience. they where on time and made sure to tell me to leave the house and get all pets out. i would use them again

Do not use this company!!!! Terrible service.... they do not take ownership for their mistakes and management will ignore any concerns by not returning phone calls or emails. This company has no integrity and the worst customer service. If curious please continue reading my situation below. I've had a contract with Southern Pest Control for termite inspection/pest control since 2005. Every year they have been out to my house for the inspection including accessing the crawl space. Just recently they were out for the yearly inspection and as always they inspected around the house and inside the crawl. A few days after their inspection I had a pre-sale home inspection and was told that I had some pretty big issue including moisture inside my crawl. These issues had to be going on for a while to have been as bad as they are. Greatly concerned I contacted Southern Pest Control and questioned why after such a recent inspection they did not let me know that I had issues going on in my crawl space? Their response is that they do not treat moisture only termites so they don't test for it and do not feel it's their responsibility to inform their customer. My concern is that there is no other reason other than a yearly termite inspection that there would be reason to go into my crawl. I entrusted this company to communicate with me any issues that they may observe regardless of if they treat it or not. When I asked to speak to a manager they told me I would have to email her. Over a two week period I've called several times and sent two emails with no response. My request is not unreasonable, I am only asking to pay for the termite inspection that was performed then cancel my contract with a refund for the rest of the fees that were collected. My situation has not been addressed by the company other than with silence. My advice is to use a company that is going to thoroughly perform a service for the benefit of their customer. I am a relator and will make sure every client I come in contact with will know how terrible, rude and unprofessional Southern Pest Control is to their paying customers.

We received a letter dated Feb.22, 2013 to remind us to schedule our annual termite inspection which should have been covered in our two year policy which extends from April 15, 2011 through April 15, 2013. On March 22, 2013 I spoke with their customer service representative to schedule this appointment for April 1, 2013 at 10am. She booked the appointment and tried to get me to renew the policy which I did not and explained my position. We had wasps and other pests over the two year period that weren't covered under this policy, so it wouldn't be the best choice for us. She agreed but countered with a one year policy at $306. I declined this offer and wanted to mull over other more suitable options. On April 1, 2013 i called to follow-up on this missed appointment and was told that no such appointment was made and that because we didn't renew our policy we were not entitled to any further service. Mind you the policy nor their letters stated this. For the first time ever, their service rep pointed out that we needed to renew the policy in order to get this annual inspection. This is understandable for annual service however this should have been pointed out at the time of scheduling the April 1 appointment. Overall we have not been satisfied with their services and will not renew our policy.

They had good service but they were not flexible. They should have let me use the coupon for another time.

I used a $99 Angie's List Big Deal special for this service. They did the work and I don't have any more bugs; overall it was pretty good. They were on time and were here when they said they would be. I won't really know how effective their treatment was until spring. I talked to them on the phone to arrange the service and they seemed pretty straightforward.

The treatment went well. Seemed very thorough as they use a leaf blower modified to apply the chemical all over the yard, bushes and trees. It seemed to be effective. There were noticeably fewer bugs in the back yard after the application. I will very likely set it up for them to perform the treatment again next year, next time earlier in the season though.

Company was very flexible in accomodating date of service and once it was determined that the technician needed an outside electrical outlet, everything went very smoothly.

I have a 2 year contract with Southern Pest Control for maintenance and prevention. They have come twice to my home, both times 15 minutes late, but I received phone calls both times letting me know that the service technician was running behind. It's expensive, but the quality of the work is worth the money. Had a bug problem which has resolved in 2 treatments about 3 weeks apart... and if the bugs come back, any service required is covered through my contract. Definitely gives me peace of mind.

I called the company about the and quot;Big Dealand quot; mosquito service offered, to find out if it would be possible to get this done before September 9. I was told to first sign up and pay for the service, which I did. When I called back and gave the confirmation number, I was told I could only get the service done the Wednesday after the party. I was very surprised by that, since I just informed my friend -who lives maybe 5 minutes/4 miles away from me- about this service, and she was told she could be treated the next day, which was September 6 or 7 (not sure exactly when). When I brought that up, I was told that they schedule treatment by zip code, and my zip code was due for Wednesday September 12. There was no possibility to alter this, even when my friend offered to give her time slot to me. Then my friend gave me a name of a guy who could do the treatment right away, and this is what I had done.So I had no need for the Angie's list Big Deal offer anymore, even though I paid for it. My friend offered to buy the offer from me, to get an other treatment in the future (she needs regular treatments) However, when she wanted to schedule a treatment, she was told the offer was not transferable. Through time I received several calls from the company, even one to offer the treatment still in time for the party, but I already had my yard treated by the other guy and did not need and additional spraying. Until date, I have no recurring mosquito problems, so until next summer I probably don't need a treatment. I appreciate the company calling me back and still trying to fit me in, but it was just too late. They should have, could have told me their schedule before I purchased the offer, and that's why I'm not happy with them.
