Description of Work: Had a fence installed. The fence looks great. It was not cheap and it took a while. There were some minor billing irregularities that were cleared up but it was a bit sloppy. The workers were great and very polite.

Description of Work: Scott Putny was professional and put in a good fence for a reasonable price and in a reasonable amount of time. We did have a problem with the gates latching and have requested they be corrected months ago and he said he would, but was delayed due to parts or something. It's been months and they still haven't completed the exchange.

Description of Work: They installed a composite fence we purchased at home depot. These guys were professional in appearance, cleaned as they went. The project took 2 and a half days to complete and they left the yard neat and organized. They were quick to respond to the gate needing an adjustment

Description of Work: They installed a wood fence in our back yard. It looks great. From first contact until completion of the project we were amazed at the level of professionalism. On time, came when they said they would, contacted municipal authorities re utility lines, measured carefully, cleaned up after themselves,etc. We really appreciate the quality of their service.

Description of Work: Installed patio pavers, drainage pipe, gate and stone columns for patio table. Project delayed when irrigation pipes cut and cable tv cables cut. In companies defense the patio pavers were installed over an area where all utilities seemed to converge. Not an easy area to work in. Coordinating of repairs with irrigation company and Verizon caused delays. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of the work and plan to use them again for installation of our fence. The crew was professional and worked with us to make some changes.

Estimate was very unprofessional and included only a brief outline of the work to be done and did not address specifics, warranty information or payment expectations.

 + -1 moreI would absolutely hire Solid Structures again, and I would recommend them to anyone! I already had one other estimate for the same job when I called Solid Structures. Scott Prunty came to my house and gave a very fair price on a pressure treated pine fence (the quoted price was actually lower than I expected). Therefore, I decided to upgrade to a Cedar fence and this still ended up costing less than $2,000. I signed a detailed and very professionally written contract at the time of the estimate . The work began a couple of weeks after I signed the contract on exactly the estimated start date indicated in the contract. I am extremely pleased with the work that was performed and also how professional this company was in handling the job from start to finish. The fence looks great! As I mentioned at the beginning, I would definitely hire this company again and would strongly recommend their services to anyone in need of a new fence.
Description of Work: 1) Remove and dispose of existing fence and posts. 2) Install 94 linear feet of 6' tall privacy fencing (Cedar with three board dog ear cut). 3) All posts concreted. 4) Install 4' gate and hardware.

We received exactly what we requested/paid for: approximately 150 linear feet of 6ft wood fencing installed in a board-on-board style. We requested several more visible sections be double-sided. We also requested 3 gates: one standard 36" gate, one double gate, and one custom aluminum gate. We look forward to using this company again soon to replace other fencing on the same property.

 + -1 moreI found this company on Angies List and contacted the owner (Scott Prunty) by telephone. He came by the property and showed me various photos of his work and emailed them to my computer. I told him what I was looking for and he gave me very helpful advise. He gave me what I considered a fair price and I signed a contract. Scott and his crew preformed the work as stated on time and did an outstanding job. I have to say that this fence looks absolutely beautiful. It was a great experience and I would use them again and recommend them highly to anyone considering the type of work they perform.

Description of Work: We hired Solid Structures to replace an old wooden fence with new vinyl fence. Cost was higher than we expected, but we felt that the product they would be using was of superior quality to others on the market, so worth it. Scott and his crew were punctual and professional. Scott's biggest concern seemed to be to do a good job that we would be 100% satisfied with. Work began as scheduled. Crew of 4 worked long days non-stop until the job was complete. Ran in to a hitch in that our back fence butts right up to a drainage ditch and our yard was eroding away. Options were to bring the fence in a few feet and lose yard space or come up with a way to keep the fence where it was. We didn't want the back fence to start falling after a couple of years of more erosion. Scott offered up a plan to build a bulkhead right behind the fence. This would allow us to preserve our yard space. He gave us a price to build it and they continued right on with that, rather than saying they'd have to come back for this extra work later. I think the solution will work well. Then they completed the fence. We were amazed that Scott did not contact us for about 2 weeks to come back and collect the balance due on the project. Most contractors are right there upon completion to collect. He wanted to allow us time to survey the job and make sure the job was complete to our satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone.

 + -1 moreScott kept us informed of the progress of the wrought iron fence and when it would be delivered and installed. Scott show up with his employee Jeramey on Friday, introduced thereselves (since my husband made the initial contact) and Jeramey got to work, he dug the holes by hand for the fence post and set those with concrete, advised us that he would be back tomorrow (saturday), he showed up and worked all day without a break. He kept us updated on the progress. He returned on Tuesday to install the pool safety locks. I would highly recommend Solid Structures and would hire them again. I totally pleased with the craftmanship and profressionalism this company has.
Description of Work: We contacted Scott for an estimate to install new wrought iron fence for our ingroud pool and put up new wood fence on side of the house and replace a broken fence post on existing fence.

The fence that Scott repaired was a fairly new fence for our pool area installed by a different fence company. After the fence failed city inspection I contacted the initial installer several times who promised to come out and fix it. That promise was never kept. I called several other companies for the fence repair with no luck. I finally joined Angies list and chose Solid Structures Decks and Fences, LLC. Scott's quote for the repairs was reasonable and work was completed in a timely fashion. It was a pleasure to finally find a company that was true to their word. I highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: Repair and reinforce existing fence posts. Replace all hardware on all fence doors. Replace main pool entry fence door with new door.

He showed me all licenses/evidence of insurance coverage that I requested (I am quite picky about these matters) and was very patient about answering my numerous questions. He was able to show me photos of his work and examples of the options available. Materials were delivered on time and the work proceded as planned. Excellent crew - very polite and professional; they answered all of my questions. Superb cleanup after the job was done. It was very pleasant to deal with a company of this caliber, they have my highest recommendation.
Description of Work: Removal and disposal of existing wood fence and deck, installation of vinyl privacy fence and AZEK deck with vinyl railings. Included moving a hot tub and reinforcing the deck in the area where the hot tub would be reinstalled.

Material was delivered in the afternoon after the holes where dug. crew was ready to start the building the patio the next day in timely order building the frame work. They demolished the old deck after the frame work was installed, Solid Structure halled away the old deck the next day. the Aztec decking arived that afternoon and was ready for install the next morning. Great Quality work, installation was done by Friday afternoon ready for the Grand chilldren to utilze and play on.

 + -1 moreSolid Structures contacted Miss Utility in Virginia to mark the lines for power lines on Monday. Material was delivered on Tuesday, Work started promptly at 0800 on Wednesday morning. Old fences was removed and neatly stacked for removal. Fence pole holes were dug and poles place in with cement. Thursday side fence was installed for neighbors dogs and remaining posts were installed. Friday the Fence was completed to great satisfaction of neighbors and owner of the house. Great Job
