Our garge door spring broke on a Friday evening. The only garage door company I could find that repaired doors on a weekend was Precision Door Service (PDS). The receptionist was very polite, and even though they had no appointments left for the day, she personally called the technician to see if he could work me in at the end of the day, and he did. Technician Rob called when he was on his way and showed up on time. When he arrived, he explained the current spring system I had, and why it failed. He then commenced to show me the spring system he would replace it with and gave me all the details, including price, and answered all of my questions. When I gave the go ahead, Rob jumped into action and got the job done in about 30 minutes. He not only replaced the spring system, he also replaced the rollers and lubricated all of the door hinges. The door is now quieter tan ever. Overall, I am completely satisfied with PDS and would use them again and would also recommend them to my freinds and neighbors.

My garage door opener was not working because it had been bent and the bend was interfering with the electric sensors making it impossible for the garage door opener to operate properly. The technician who checked this and the technicians who installed the new door were prompt and very professional.

Overall it was a very pleasant experience. The tech was prompt & professional. He gave us the info we needed and was able to come back on short notice once we decided on our course of action. The service was done on time as expected and the new opener is SUPER quiet, just as promised.

My garage door was sticking, jerking rather violently when I opened it. Precision came out and correctly diagnosed the issue which was that the previous homeowners had painted the door and the stripping around the door so whenever it was hot the paint became tacky. My opener was on the path to being burned out. The technician gave me option to replace all the stripping or replace the entire door. With the tax credit it made more sense to replace the entire door with an insulated door. The work was done on time and my garage is much warmer. I appreciate the fact that the technician was honest and straight forward - he did not try to sell me the most expensive garage door they had. The installers showed up on time and the installation was completed in a timely manner. The people who work for this company are all very professional and very pleasant to deal with. I will definetely use them again.

Precision provided great support. They successfully diagnosed the problem which was the dial for the door down force was not turned up high enough, and did preventive maintenance on the opener and the door and railings thenmselves. Precision was very prompt, polite and very knowledgeable in explaining/demonstrating to me what was wrong. I felt very confident in their expertise and I would use them again. Perfectly. Our garage door had been serviced several times over the past 15 years to improve its performance and had obviously reached the end of its useful life. I called Precision and spoke with Theresa to schedule a time for replacement and to coordinate with Brian to assure we got the door and opener combination we had discussed during a previous service call. The truck arrived right on schedule and the two workmen set about removing the old chain drive builder's original door and track. Within two hours the new insulated belt drive door was in place, the old door and drive vanished, and the area cleaned up beautifully. I was then instructed on the features of our whisper-quiet door and opener and presented with the new remote controls by our installers. The entire process was flawless and we have made two referrals within the week! Incidentally, during the truly cold weather that followed, the temperature in the attached unheated garage (with its new insulated door) has been consistently 15-20 degrees above that outside. Pecision continues to perform and impress.

When the salesman came by he was punctual and very professional. Took the time to explain why Precision Door was the better company and the extra care they took to not use manufacturer parts on installations but used upgraded parts to make the door run more smoothly. I was looking at the 14 X 7 Fimbel 500 for the high r-value and the opportunity to take advanatage of the tax credit. I wanted an almond door only to find out that it was no longer available . Scott Kale made it his personal goal to find me an almond door that was very comparable in quality and look of the Amarr door. Scott was able to find another door from CHI that is as good if not better than the Fimbel 500, and honored his original quote. The door has been installed and it looks beautiful, and the garage temperature is very comfortable.

I originally had a problem with this company's work. They successfully resolved this problem. The owner called me and came out to my house. They made good on their promise of taking care of my second (original) garage door which had come with the house to show good faith. In doing so they replaced all moving parts on the garage door. They used all new parts including two high cycle double loop extension springs, two X inch cables. The door had previously had X cables. He added a safety cable which I did not have before. He replaced my pulleys where the bearings had been worn with four heavy duty zinc pulleys. He also replaced 2 heavy gage forks and S-hooks. He also replaced ten 100,000 cycle nylon 13 ball bearing rollers, where I had previously had steel rollers that were worn. He also included miscellaneous screws and hardware. He tightened and lubricated all of the hinges and roller holders. This came with a limited lifetime warranty on parts and labor. As long as I own the house, they will replace all broken parts at no cost, including broken springs. I was impressed with their professional behavior in handling this manner. I am very satisfied with this work.

We have been a longtime customer of Precision Door, but little did we expect that what could have become a home repair nightmare one afternoon and evening was quickly turned around, thanks to excellent customer service on the part of the Precision Door staff and the owner. What happened was one afternoon, our garage door simply malfunctioned. We were advised that a less expensive repair could be made, but that the door motor was old and could go at any time, even though it was at that moment functioning normally. The service man fixed the problem, tested the door, then went home. After he left, we found the door would not open. We called Precision, who contacted the serviceman, in another part of the community. The serviceman returned, found the motor had broken down. It was unclear whether its age finally gave way, or whether the repair on the other parts of the door caused the motor to burn out. Out of respect for our situation, Precision offered to install a new door and motor at their net cost! It was not possible to determine what precisely had occurred -- it didn't matter, because in the dead of the evening, Precision was prepared to make it good, whatever had occurred. The serviceman (Perry Harrell) offered to install the new door and motor that very evening, and he finished at 2 AM ! (in the morning !), not having eaten supper. Finally, he went home, and we were thrilled with the new installation. We spoke with the owner that evening, and were in very high praise of the serviceman. Very few companies, in our experience, provide customer service on that order. We were very thankful. The door works beatifully now, and the motor is soooo quiet we can hardly hear the garage door when it opens and closes.

Precision Garage Door took a total of eight hours to complete the job. The first day they came out and removed and installed the new door in five hours. The second day they came out and installed the automatic mechanism in three hours. I highly recommend their quality service and life long guarantee. They are the best in the area. I was very pleased and they did a good job cleaning up.

After noticing that one of the outer hinges supporting a roller had broken from metal fatigue, I called Precision Door Service. The operator set up a technician visit for mid-day the next day. Joe arrive right on time, assessed the problem, discussed the solution and proceeded to fix it. He asked whether or not I might consider replacing the original load-bearing hinges (three sets) with heavy duty types, as I had indicated that my wife and I planned to live in this house for a long time to come. This was a suggestion only, not a sales job, and because it made longterm sense, I agreed to the additional work. Joe completed the job in short order, answered all my questions and even demonstrated a belt driven upscale garage door opener as a possible replacement down the line (at my request.) Joe was efficient, thorough, very pleasant and helpful throughout. This wasn't a major project, but it was treated as one by the scheduler and the technician.

Precision Door attempted to take advantage of the situation, cars locked in garage by door that cannot open, to extort the maximum amount of money they could from the caller. The mechanic also attempted to sell a complete door overhaul for almost $700 and also attempted to talk me into changing the tension spring bearings. Rarely in my personal life or in my business dealings have I encountered such a disreputable service provider.

All I can really say about my new door is that it looks great, works well and I am happy with it. The workers were very pleasant and conducted themselves as very well, experienced professionals. I really do not think I will need another door any time soon, but if I did I would give them a ring. I feel confident that they would provide the same great service twice.

I can not say that I was the most satisfied customer after hiring Precision Doors. Throughout my experience with them, it seemed like there was a different person at my door every time they were there. I assume they have a very terrible turn over rate. I did not like the fact that there was constantly someone new that I had to open my door to. I mean, it is hard enough to trust people now days. Overall, the work they did to the garages turned out to be fine. Everything works properly and I have no complaint there. I am just unsure if I would hire them again because of the different people all the time.

It has been long overdue for a new door. I am very pleased with the way the door looks. I did not have any problems from start to finish. I would gladly hire them again. My door looks perfecto and I am very happy. The workers were very nice and did not make a mess at all. The pricing was o.k. I cannot remember exactly what it was, but it probably wasn t the cheapest. Then again, I didn't shop around, so it very well could have been. Anyway, as long as the work was done correctly, who can complain.

They did a good repair on my garage door. They responded to my service call right away, which was important because it was hanging off the track. They recommended several things we could do to keep the door from falling off the track and I really appreciated that. They also cleaned up well after themselves.
