Rob arrived on time to perform a reconditioning/quietening service on my loud squealing garage door. He was competent as well as personable. My garage door operates quietly now, and I will certainly call Precision Door for any and all future garage door needs. I am glad to recommend this company. They also installed my opener at an earlier date .

The technician arrived early for the appointment. When he took a look at the door, he said that he could do the work within the deal but the problem I was having wouldn’t be fixed with the deal. He provided some good information and looked over all of the joints. He also provided an estimate for replacing the door.

After purchasing the advertised special, we were contacted later in the afternoon for the appointment. The phone call and appointment setup went smoothly, and we found them to be very accommodating to our hectic and special schedule needs. Garth, the service person, arrived this morning about 15 minutes early for the appointment. He called beforehand to alert that he was running early, and without pressure, asked if we minded if he came then. He arrived, greeted us professionally and promptly began the inspection. Throughout the entire process, he kept us informed about what he was looking for, doing, and why we should consider changes or not. We had suspicions that we needed some new equipment including the rollers and have been concerned about the changes we have noticed in the operation of the door over the past few months. Garth found that we actually had a serious problem in that the equipment had pulled loose from the wall and that was causing our problem. He graciously fixed it for us. We also asked questions that in the end prompted us to change to a torsion spring roller (something we had been researching previously). He was able to install the new spring for us right then and there, and in the end took him about 20 extra minutes of our allotted appointment time. Now we both feel secure that our door is working properly and our worries about safety are taken care of. Additionally, at the same time Garth was here, we had Habitat for Humanity here to pick up a room full of furniture. Garth worked around them easily, and even helped to carry some of the items to the truck for me. I appreciated it greatly, especially after suffering a foot injury that makes walking, doing stairs, etc, very uncomfortable for me. I have given the company a B for the pricing, because in all honesty, a "fair" rating is what pricing is at best. However, I can say that we are extremely pleased with the lifetime warranty we received on this installation, so we upped it to a B rather than a C. This is a company we will gladly do business with again!

AWESOME! Great personality of garage door tech. Had a well-marked, professional truck stocked full of supplies for our door & everybody else's. Changed out all the rollers, greased the track & chain mechanism, did a safety check, looked at the actual motor of the garage door opener itself to ensure all was in good working condition. DID EXACTLY what we contracted this company to do! Would definitely call again should anything go wrong with our garage doors/openers. Our garage door openers are Genie brand & are still the initial openers from when the house was built in 1992. The tech let us know that they are the best quality openers which rarely break down. So that was nice to get some extra feedback along with other recommendations. Thank you!

Great Experience the technician was very informative

Rob was quick and professional. He replaced the single spring that Sears had previously installed with two springs, installed new casters, oiled all moving parts, and balanced the door. He was quick, explained three pricing options, and fully explained what work he would perform before starting. The spring and garage door were repaired within a hour. Excellent service from the first contact. Office staff, sales person, and installers were nice and professional. There are a lot of garage door companies available and their customer service is what makes the difference. I will use them when I need to have my windows installed.

They told me it would take 2 weeks for delivery but ended up being almost 5 weeks. Installation was and they kept my garage clean.

The company that put it in was never able to correct the problem. Precision Door had installed a garage door opener many years ago, and it has operated without difficulties. At one point a couple years back when I thought the door was somewhat noisier than it had been, I asked them to come out and for what I thought was a reasonable price, they serviced the door (one service tech), quieting the door, and were professional and respectful during the process. So when the wireless keypad stopped working this past week and changing the battery didn't help, I called Precision. I requested a Saturday appointment, and they gave me the very next Saturday, only a couple days away. The appointment slot was from 4-6 PM. The company called me between 2-3 PM on the day of the appointment, explaining that my tech was stuck at a bigger-than-expected problem in Williamsburg and was running 45-60 minutes late, offering to rebook the appointment if that was a problem for me. I told the operator I appreciated the notice, but that I'd keep the appointment. As it turned out, he was only about 30 minutes late, but since he was outside the time window, I had to give him a "B" on punctuality. I hated to do that, since he was so good in every other way, and the company had called to let me know. His name was Rob, and he was professional, friendly and courteous. He replaced the keypad and programmed it to the opener, then serviced the door. He was generous with his time answering questions (i.e. was not acting rushed or curt despite it being late on a Saturday). The door again now runs quieter than before he'd arrived. The Special the company was running at the time was for a door service and new keypad for $89.99, but he explained that since he was late he was giving me a discount, which brought the price down to $70 (another reason why I hated giving him a "B" on punctuality, particularly since I hadn't asked for the discount). Anyway, if you have a problem with your garage door, this company is honest, very competent, professional and responsive. Thank you, Rob!

The technicials arrived ahead of schedule. They did call to let me know they would be arriving early, if that was okay with me. Fine by me. After examining the door they discovered the bar above the door was broken. I asked if they had all the equipment to fix the door. The answer was most definitely. They removed the broken rod and replaced with a new one. They also replaced the rollers which made a huge difference, now the door is very quiet. The rubber seal on the bottom of the door was badly worn and they replaced it. They even offered to come back and adjust the door after the new rubber seal was broken in. i was very satisfied with the overall performance of the technicians. They performed like professionals and i will definitelly call on them again when the situation arises.

They called and arranged to come earlier than the appointment. I knew my garage doors were old and had never been worked on in the 14 years of installation, but I hoped that they could do something to help me get a bit more time out of them. The technician told me after watching the door raise and lower and disconnecting the opener at which time the door almost fell closed that I needed a $450 overhaul on each door. I told him I would have to talk to my husband and he left. I did a slow burn and called the office back and told them I was not ready for any more than what I had purchased. The technician came back out immediately and did the service on both doors. I signed their forms saying I was aware that the service would not fix all my problems with the doors. I realize that my doors are old, perhaps they should have specified that the job would be good only for doors 5 years old or less. On their website they have some videos that really sell yearly maintenance. I didn't research this enough before buying and I should have, then I would have realized this purchase was not what I needed. I did feel the technician was up-selling me, and he is probably right that I need to replace more parts, but never having had someone look at the doors, I wouldn't have known that.
