Precision Garage Door

Ordered this service through a "Big Deal" for just $89. I knew the "quieting package" would fix the fact that my door was getting stuck 2/3 of the way up. It did, and by the way, the door is REALLY quiet now. In-and-out in 20 minutes! Technician arrived on time, calling 10 mins prior to arrival. He explained what he was doing as he did it, including inspection criteria. Now I know what to look for in order to spot minor discrepancies before they become major problems.

Technician was courteous and professional. My garage door was fine so all he did was install the keypad. He showed me how to use it. He was quick and efficient.

It went well. He came on time and was very professional. I would use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went great. It rolls a lot better and sounds a lot better. I would not have paid the original price of $229 but it was worth it for $89. The guy was only here about 15 minutes. He was very good at his job. He changed the rollers and did everything pretty quickly.

Never called or showed up for appointment.

I did not like the fact that before he begin the work he was trying to get me to spend more money. Using scare tactics to tell me what could happen if I did not do certain things. I don't mind that he was trying to get more money, but he could have done it after the work. Also there is a noise at the end of the door going up that I don't believe was there before. I have used several services from Angie's List and this is the first time I have not been satisfied.

This was an extremely pleasant job. Not only did the service man provide me with the Big Deal special, he connected my car's automatic opener to my garage - saving me $55. I bought two more openers from him and he had those working in no time. Not once did he make me feel pressured to "buy more" - no upsaling, just honest, decent, professional and, above all, polite help. I will definitely use them again.

The service guy was on time and performed the work quickly (without any attempt to sell me any more or different services than than promoted by the special and I appreciated that.).

Things went very well. One thing that really impressed us was that he did not try to upsell us on new garage doors, a different drive system or new garage door openers. The Precision Door Service representative was very professional and prompt. We would use Precision Door again in the future.

My old springs were so loud. I sprayed them with a silicone lubricant, but that only lasted a couple days. I decided to have them replaced since they're nearing the end of their life cycle. Garth was very punctual (again). Actually, he was early, but I wasn't back from my other appointment yet. When he arrived, he went straight to work. I wanted him to replace my garage door motor, but he didn't recommend it because it was still quiet and in great working condition. With that, one can tell they just don't want your money! I would highly recommend Precision Door for all of your garage door needs!

We purchased the Precision Door "Big Deal" for tuning of our garage door. We had recently purchased the home and recognized that the garage door needed some adjustments. The Big Deal looked like a good option. We were pleased with the results, but I was a bit skeptical since the repairman attempted to "up sell" me on the spot for additional services or a new garage door. He was however, very professional, polite, and efficient. He adjusted the garage door, repaired faulty wheels, and adjusted the "electronic" safety eyes. He also cautioned me regarding the possibility garage door fatigue, but felt the door was in stable enough condition at this time. Again, I was a bit skeptical, not wanting to invest more than I needed in the house at this time, particularly not in a new garage door which I viewed as fully functional. Bottom Line: I was very pleased with Precision, and I subsequently have used them for replacement of several house screen doors. AND, yes, my garage door did fail 6 mo after moving into the house. The Precision service man was 'dead right', garage door fatigue. I elected to by my replacement garage door with Precision and am delighted.

We began by searching for a supplier who's primary business was installation of Doors, not Windows. We called several businesses, but they were more interested in selling us Windows than new Screen Doors. After contacting Precision, they quickly made an appointment for a representative to meet with us and discuss our needs and review options. The representative was "Chad". Chad met us promptly on the day and time of the appointment. He reviewed Precision Door, spoke with us regarding the new screen doors we were interested in, and reviewed the various options. Pricing was done "on line" as we spoke. We agreed to consider the various proposals and made an appointment for the following week for a follow up discussion and decision. The Options presented were complete, but a bit pricier than we had expected, however since we were a "repeat" customer, we would receive a 10% discount. (we had used the Precision Door company to adjust our Garage Door several months previously using an Angie's List special.) The following week, Chad again showed on time, we discussed several changes in the original proposal that would meet out budget goals. Order Place. We were advised that the installation would be done in approx 5 weeks after supplies and special order materials were in stock. We were delighted to learn Chad was also going to do the installation. He and the installation crew (3 men) arrived on the appointed day, and began installation: 2 Screen / Storm Doors, a new Class enclosed Front Storm Door, and a new Steel Frame Fire Proof entry door from the garage. There was significant work to be done. Stripping the old doors, it was discovered we had minor / moderate dry rot on several door frames which had been hidden from view by the old storm doors. Chad reviewed the damage with us, developed a corrective plan, and proceeded with the work. Because of the additional work required, the installation took two days. The work took considerably longer than anticipated, but Chad and his crew were consistent, thorough, and professional. There was no rushing to get the work done. The completed work is fantastic, and the quality of the doors is beyond what I had anticipated, just as Chad had promised. The caulking around all seams is perfect, the installation clean. The house and grounds were returned to a clean and neat appearance. FANTASTIC JOB. Round Two: Three days before the storm doors were due for installation, (a Sunday) our garage door failed. It was a 17 year old door, and it finally just gave out to Age and structural fatigue. We immediately called Precision to leave a message and were astounded that a representative answered the phone, even on a Sunday over a holiday weekend. A Precision Door representative was at the house on Tuesday 8:30 AM, ready to review the situation, make recommendations, and propose a solution. We didn't have much choice, the garage door was shot., But we did have several options on the replacement door. I was please with the choices, the color options and choices of garage door windows / options. Pricing was again done ON LINE, real time. We made a choice, scheduling was nearly instantaneous, and installation scheduled for 2 days. WOW. Day of installation arrives .. same day as the Screen Doors. I was astounded how quickly the work was done, and how efficient the work men were. Within 4 hours the job was complete, sealed, caulked. We elected to go with a new power drive and insulated garage door. It looks magnificent, and is so quiet i nearly do not know the door is opening / closing. The men also reprogramed both cars to operate the door remotely.

My garage door opener stopped working. I had an Overhead Door opener and wasn't impressed with the quality of the product so I searched Angie's List and found Precision. The technician showed up on-time and tried to get the opener to work but said it appeared to him that the motor may have burned out. He then unlatched the door and tried to manually lift it. As I learned it was very heavy and would slam down unless you propped it up. The tech. said that the opener burning out was probably directly related to the poorly installed door. He advised me that unless I fixed the door I would have an opener that wouldn't last very very long. It was an expensive fix as the new spring assembly was around $600 and the opener was $500. Not the kind of thing I wanted to hear but I agreed with his assessment. He installed everything in about 4 hours and to my amazement I have never had a garage door that was so quiet. You really almost don't hear it when it opens and closes. Excellent unit and I have no complaints on the service. Precision does quality work. They aren't cheap but I'm not expecting to have any problems with this unit again.

This company provides excellent customer service - and has wonderful communication skills. The installers, Todd, Rusty & Clint (Plus Shannon in the office) are very friendly, professional, conscientious and detail oriented - catching some other problems' we had - and didn't know until they brought it to our attention. I highly recommend Precision Door Service - and we will call them to provide the same service for a couple of other garage doors to replaced in the near future. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

They did a great job. I was very pleased with the service. I like that they always answer the phone, the customer service is remarkable and they are accommodating. I never have to wait for them, we can also schedule an appointment quickly. The technicians they send out are extremely knowledgable, honest and professional.

It turned out great. I thought that they went out of their way to help me understand other products that they offered as well, so not only did they tell me that my garage door was in great shape even though it's very old they didn't try to sell me anything. They didn't try to tell me that my door was old and needed to be repaired or anything like that. They came out and performed the service. They told me that it was still in really good shape and that I should still get some good years out of it. I was inquiring about potentially getting a new garage door and they were just very helpful with providing other options and other information. They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and polite.

My garage door had been unreliable for months but after making the call for service it broke completely. Garth called the morning of our scheduled appointment and asked to come early and once he looked at the door he was able to determine what needed to be done. He gave me three cost choices with his estimate. I chose the middle estimate and he began work right away. He was finished within an hour and a half and my garage door works like when it was first installed. Thank you very much Garth and Precision Door Service.

I liked the selection of the replacement garage doors that they had. From day one they were professional. They showed up and did the installation when they said. I would use them again.

Doors are better and quieter than I had expected. Work was done promptly, professionally, and quickly. All work was clearly explained, and the service provider ensured all was completed to my satisfaction (including tension adjustments to my preferences) before leaving the site. Very responsive and professional. I would recommend to anyone, and would use again without hesitation.

The service was scheduled to take place between 10 a.m. & noon. The technician called about 9 a.m. and advised he could be here earlier if it was OK with me. He arrived about 1/2 hr. later and did the work. After he was finished, he explained what he did and talked about the overall condition of the garage door opener. He was very professional.

It was for a two car garage and it was supposed to cost me $80 for both but when they got here they did some up-selling and I ended up paying over $400 for one door. I believed them and could not let them work on the other door because it would have cost me close to a $1,000. I called someone else who came out and confirmed that none of it had to be done. I feel like I have been taken advantage of. They were prices were way too high. The technician was friendly and nice. I took it personally after I found out. They were polite and I actually ended up lowering the price by $30 but it was still high. update the owner called and was very concerned with my problem. The technician and I had some communication issues. The owner explained that the price does include a lifetime warranty. He was very polite and he is going to fix it for me. He took the time to explain to me exactly why he replaced the pieces he decided to replace. He is going to fix any of the problems I have.

I wasn't here when the work was done but everything was replaced except for the door and the motor. The replacements were heavier and more substantial than what we had (spring, wires, rollers, etc.) The door now works properly - smooth and quiet! Also, when we called the company to come out to "tweak" something - they scheduled us right away and didn't leave until we were satisfied.
