Precision Garage Door

On time and professional. My issue wasn't solved on first visit but Steve went out of his way to resolve the problem. Mission accomplished.

They are terrible! They came out and said the door mechanism on one of the doors was operational, but they wouldn’t recommend keeping it for very long. They suggested replacing it and gave me a ridiculous estimate. I checked with two other companies who said that nothing was wrong with my door and they even knew it was Precision without me even saying the name. Sounds like they have a bad reputation with other companies in the area.

They came out for routine maintenance the day after I found I had a pipe burst. They were very responsive in helping get me up and running.

Steve - called me and said he was running early - I met him at 2 PM instead of 4. He was very professional and made suggestions about some other issues I had. I was extremely pleased with his level of expertise and how quickly he performed the service.I would highly recommend Precision Door and Steve to anyone needing garage door service.

.We are VERY pleased with the new garage door opener! It is a new model so it works on a belt rather than a chain. It is extremely quiet. The technician, Brian, was very professional and honest. I would use them again and will recommend them to friends.

We were thrilled with them, they were wonderful. They gave us a good deal, and we couldn't have been happier. They came out immediately, and purchased the doors within a week of us purchasing the big deal. We have referred other people to him. We thought we got a good deal, a good product, and it was a good upgrade for us.

They came out and told us that the deal would not help our door; that we needed a new gear and spring system. They emailed us an estimate for this work. The technician was great and very easy to work with.

The technician arrived on time and we discussed work I had done a couple of years ago. He was concerned about the amount of force the opener was set on. After replacing the rollers, he reduced the force on the opener to lessen the chance of damaging the door. We discussed lubrication of the chain and rollers and eventual spring and opener replacement options. He was very professional and helpful.

The man came out on time and was very polite to tell me he could not do the service, due to incorrect installation and told me to get my money back.

Garth has now serviced our doors on 2 separate occasions--and hopefully he will be the one to service our doors the next time it's due. The experience was excellent. They did a very good job, they were punctual, and it was quality work.

They did a very good job and referred them to other people who are not in Angie's List. I had a satisfactory service with them, they're well qualified and they're polite. They also did a nice and clean job and they returned to make any corrections or improvements asked by the owner.

The man came out and inspected the doors and advised me I had the wrong rollers and could not perform the service and was not going to charge me!! I have to get different doors and he gave me an estimate. Right now they are still working good and will not replace them. I would like a credit or a refund, thank you!!

I was ordering work on a rental home that needed to get done as soon as possible, from long distance. So, I was very pleased with the promptness and professionalism of the office staff in making an appointment. We had a rental home that needed a garage door opener replaced. I called on Friday and since they work on Saturday we had a next day appointment. Steve was delayed due to complications at the client before ours but called and kept us appraised of his ETA. The long distance may have added to the confusion as to what we had purchased and what work was to be done. I was not there in person to direct him. Steve arrived and ended up figuring out how to repair our old garage door opener instead of replace it with the newer model we had wanted. That is the kind of innitiative we normally look for in workers and we appreciated him working hard to try and find the cheaper solution. It was just in this situation we specifically needed the new unit with keyless entry for our rental home. When I realized this, I called to straighten out the situation and they were as good as gold. Shannon took care of me immediately and offered to have them go back and correct the situation and install the new opener at their expense. That is all you can ask for. They stood behind their work and corrected the situation. Steve was a good worker and knew his stuff.

The flashing and the Door man both showed up on time, the work was excellent.

Service was prompt. Tech identified several problems to be corrected, which were done the following week (door replacement). Cost of the big deal was deducted from the additional service.

It was a good experience. They did exactly what they advertised and they did it well.

Steve was awesome. He put up with many questions, and even gave me his number if I needed more help. These guys were on time, didn't take a week to get here, and got the job done quickly. Although this IS what I expected, it's still refreshing that it's possible. Thanks Angie! lol

The technician Rob phoned and was able to show up earlier than scheduled. Rob was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. His work was efficient and overall he did an an outstanding job.

I bought a Big Deal package from Angie's for quieting and reconditioning my garage door. The Technician, Garth Cooper, came on the appointed day. He was punctual and went right to work. I live on the Bay and pointed out that there was a gap between the door and the frame and door seemed to be askew. During the cold and windy winter months the wind blew right into the garage and the temperature was like a refrigerator. I then left Garth to do his job and when finished, Garth had straightened the door frame and my garage door abutted to the frame, there was no gap and the door rolled smoothly and quietly. I was very happy and pleased with the results.

On 4/22/2014, I purchased the Big Deal through Angie's List in the afternoon. I immediately received a telephone call from Precision Door Service and scheduled an appointment for 10:00 am the next morning. Their technician, Brian, arrived promptly at 10:00 am, and started working on my garage door. Brian was very professional and worked swiftly to do a thorough inspection of my door and operating system, then he replaced all the rollers and reconditioned the door. He did an excellent job, and I was surprised that my door was so much quieter and smoother after he had worked on it. I would certainly recommend Brian and Precision Door Service of Hampton Roads to anyone looking for a reliable and reasonably-priced service provider.

We initially signed up for an Angies Deal $499 to install our two new garage door openers, but it turned out to cost much more. However, the installer explained everything he had to do in order to get the doors installed properly, so the final cost ended up being about $2500.00. The main problem was the doors were older and were not properly installed to begin with. He had to replace the entire door tracks and reinstall the existing metal garage doors. Since being installed, the doors have been working perfectly. He was very professional and courteous. We would definitely use this company again.

They came out over a year ago. He did a great job and I was satisfied. I would definitely recommend them. They didn't make a mess, they were nicely dressed and very professional.
