Precision Garage Door

Garth has serviced my overhead garage door before. He was BETTER than punctual, he was EARLY! Apparently I had purchased a service that they already performed the year prior. Garth who pointed out I needed to purchase the tune-up service, which costs less, so he did the job and he added a few more items to make up the difference in price. Secondly, I was ready to purchase their garage door motor, but Garth was very honest in that it was really not necessary at that time. Service was convenient, clean, courteous, and cost-effective. Can't go wrong with Precision!

That service turned out fine. They showed up and I did chose to have more work done so I had to pay a couple hundred dollars more.. They came out and did the door quieting package. I also had them change out the rollers and some other maintenance too. They did good work and did what I asked them to do. They also warranted the work they did and they have a pretty good warranty for the service they provided.

That went well. Just one technician came out. He did sell me extra services. He was able to complete the extra services the same day. The extra price was reasonable.

They put some rollers on there and looked at the garage door. Just one technician came out and it took him about 15 minutes. He did a good job.

Everything went fine. They also trapped a rabid raccoon for me. They went above and beyond They got the job done in a couple of hours and the work was great.

They did a good job and they offer good service. The technicians are very nice and courteous. When I have questions, they will give me an answer and they explain to me what they are doing. It was good.

The gentleman came out and fixed the door according to the Big Deal I purchased from Precision Door Service & Precision Windows. He was quick and professional.

I give Angie's List an 'A' but Precision Door Service & Precision Windows an 'F'. I was never contacted by Precision Door Service & Precision Windows as indicated by Angie's List. The lack of communication on their part is unacceptable. I will find another service provider to repair my garage door. At this point, I hesitate to consider another Big Deal offer but will probably give it a second chance if I find something suitable to my needs.

The company was very responsive. they quickly scheduled my estimate. Once the deal was settled they quickly scheduled installation and it was done well, on time and left the place clean. Only complaint is that they had to replace interior trim which I had to paint. Not a huge deal but there should be no work left to do for that price. Price was too high for the door I got. I believe the same or equivalent door could be had for much less. Paid 1500 but it should have only been about 1000 to be a true value. Good if you want it done fast and money isn't an issue. If you have the time, I'd shop around and find a better deal.

Unfortunately, I didn't check Angies List before hiring Precision to replace our old, unreliable garage door opener - I see now that there is a coupon that would have saved me some $$. Oh well - that is my own fault. We've used Precision several times over the 20+ years we have lived in Virginia Beach, so when we finally got fed up with our old garage door opener, I didn't hesitate to call Precision. They give you a 2-hour window for when they will show up, and actually show up then. Jeff was our technician and he did an excellent job. I cannot believe how much quieter the new belt-driven opener is. Everything works smoothly and reliably, and the warranty gives me some peace of mind. I would highly recommend Precision Door for any door service needed, and would highly, highly recommend the belt-driven opener.

From the beginning, the people of Precision Door was extremely professional and responsive to all our requests and needs. Chad came to our house and we discussed options for the door replacements. He was knowledgeable and professional. Before he left, he had emailed me a picture of the new doors. When we had questions deciding on the right door for our garage, he was prompt with the information and followed up when we made our decision. As for the installation, Mark and Clint were amazing. They were friendly, very professional, and obviously know their business. In fact, they were perfectionists (a good thing) and it shows in the doors. When the removal of the front door unit revealed old carpenter ant damage, they made sure the damage was repaired properly. It extended the installation from two to three days, but they weren't going to rush if it meant sacrificing quality. Oh, and installation included not only the doors but also the framing around them. What surprised me most was that they were willing to go above and beyond to make our experience a good one. Clint quickly lubricated our garage door just because it needed it. They offered to shim the post on our porch because it had dropped and they just happened to have some scrap wood. When everything was done, they cleaned everything and hauled it the trash away. This was by far the most enjoyable home renovation experience I have ever had. Great job, Chad, Mark, and Clint! We'll be calling again for work on our garage door.

One of the torsion springs on our old wooden garage door broke, impounding our cars. A technician from Precision Garage Door came right out. But he told us that, in all good conscience, he could not service the door as it had multiple problems and would be a safety hazard. Okay, the sales pitch ... but he was absolutely right and honest, the garage door was >25 years old and shot. He did us a favor by pushing us to replace it. Using very nice iPad-based catalog (built-ur-own) we ordered a new door with the exact features we wanted. It was a special order - took several weeks to arrive. When it did, Precision immediately booked us an installation date at our convenience. Technician showed up on schedule with all necessary tools, supplies, etc. I watched part of the installation and I would say it was a first rate job. The secret is in the alignment. The door is good looking, high security (steel), and almost silent in operation. We are very pleased with both the product and the service. Precision claims it is guaranteed for Life. "Any problems and they fix it at their expense". (Hope that proves true). Summary: First class product. First Class installation workmanship. First class communicators. Pleased customer. Were they the cheapest? Maybe not ... but I'll bet they are a best value.

It went okay. He was on time, and I noticed a difference after he left. They were able to schedule me for the day that I needed them to come.

Jeff was very personable, professional & did a great job in upgrading my door & remotes. I am very satisfied with the job he did and would certainly recommend Precision to anyone who needs work done on their garage door.

Very pleased with the contractor who came out. Highly recommend Steve for his honesty & integrity. We purchased a Angies List garage door reconditioning package.Price was fair. Steven was on time and recommended that we needed to replace the springs due to garage door not closing all the way. He gave us a quote for future repairs since we didn't have done at the time. He cleaned & replaced the wheels & bearings so that the door closes more smoothly. Very pleased with what was done & highly recommend Steve and this company.

The technician arrived and immediately started telling me how bad a job the person who installed my door had done and told me it would cost me a lot of money to get it fix. He then told me he would not touch my door and ended the visit by saying he would send me quotes to have the door completely redone.

They tried to up-sell my husband something. We didn't use them because they were charging my husband way more on something that he wasn't planning on getting. He offended my husband.

The company was punctual and the technician was pleasant. He was quick and efficient in performing the task. He gave me what I'm sure is the requisite sales pitch about replacing my builder grade door springs with above the door torsion bar spring for around $600. I may consider this in the future, but was not prepared at that time. I was somewhat initially questioning the bang for the buck value of what I got for what I paid. Did some research and the door is much quieter and the value was good. I am happy. I do wish (unless I missed something) that the offer had clearly indicated that only one door would be done and that those with two door garages would have had an option to get both doors done for like around $165.00.
