Contractor arrived on time. Probably took a TOTAL OF TWENTY MINUTES TO COMPLETE THE JOB. VERY COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. WOULDN'T HESITATE HIRING THEM AGAIN.

I came to Angie?s List because I needed an entry door replaced. I solicited two companies for an estimate, Doormasters, Inc and Precision Door. Doormasters came out and took measurements but I never heard back from them. Precision Door followed up and followed through. I selected Precision Door. My dealing with Precision Door was top-notch. From the customer rep that set up the estimate appointment to the installers, everyone was professional and courteous. Rob came out to do the estimate. We discussed different doors and he explained the installation process and used software to create a markup of what the installed door would look like. Chad followed up a few days later to do a final overview of the work site. He too went over the installation and made a couple suggestions which worked out great. The door arrived in 3-4 weeks. Clint and Donnie, the installers arrived on time to do the installation. Doors are no longer just hung; the door frame is rebuilt for better fit and to alleviate draft. I was a little leery about the frame work since the house is older, built around late 1930?s. But Clint and Donnie did an excellent job! The frame work (inside and outside) was rebuilt, storm screen re-hung, and new door installed. They cleaned the work area once everything was finished. They even went an extra step and replaced a doorbell with one they had. I?m glad I chose Precision Door and would definitely hire them again.

I was satisfied. It was the same except they found other things that needed fixing and I agreed with them. I thought it was very good. They were very prompt. I think they were a little expensive for the extra things they did.

I felt like I wasted $39. I know it is not a lot of money but I didn't get what I wanted - to have the safety reverse checked. After Jeff left I researched the problem, which was the need to adjust the travel and force on the garage door opener unit. Granted it took me an hour to do it myself but now the safety reverse works on my garage door.

Fine. Examined garage door and found frayed wire which needs to be replaced. Oiled the tracks and rest of door where needed. Gave me estimates for future fix.

Unfortunately he couldn't figure out why one keypad wouldn't open both doors so my choice was to purchase 1 more key pad. I opted to just have one.

Technician called and stated he would be at my house in ten minutes. Ten minutes later he pulled into my driveway. Inspection was thorough and complete. Repairs were done in less than twenty minutes and the price was extremely reasonable. The garage door works better than new!

The garage door was squealing as it was opened and closed. I bought the $39 Big Deal for a garage door tune up. The technician presented me with different options for repairs that could be done and one was as high as $500!! Anyway, I opted for a cheaper fix which ended up costing me an additional $148.80. The repairs greatly reduced the squealing noise and I was pleased with the repairs at that time. However, I am disappointed that 1 month after the repairs were made and the door is starting to squeal again.

This repair estimate was for a broken spring and other necessary maintenance on a single-car garage door. The door is on a townhome rental property that is approximately 20 years old. The construction materials were contractor grade. Precision was able to establish an appointment within about 36 hours and met with my tenant regarding the necessary repairs. I was not present during the review, but received a written estimate the same day. The estimate price was a bit higher than I anticipated, so I declined to have Precision do the work. As a result, Precision billed me for a $65 service call. At the time I scheduled the appointment, Precision failed to advise me that declining a service contract would still result in a $65 service charge. I felt this potential cost should have been brought to my attention prior to scheduling the assessment, so I contacted Precision, explained my position, and accepted partial responsibility for not clarifying that aspect prior to setting up the appointment. The company agreed that all costs should have been clearly explained prior to the service call and voluntarily canceled the charges without any further hassle. Though I did not use Precision for this particular job, I will consider them for future work because they have proven to be an honest and fair company willing to do what it takes to correct a problem that negatively impacted a potential customer.

Used my Angie's List coupon ($278) to purchase the garage door opener, and then just had to pay for installation & tax on the opener. ($167) It's wonderful! I can't believe it's so quiet! The two fellows were very pleasant, and even swept out the garage when they were done! I had used Precision before, and will use them again.

Inspector showed up on time, identified problems and fixed them expeditiously. Very knowledgeable.

I am very satisfied with this Service Provider. The Technician, Nick, was prompt, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. His recommendations were appreciated, and the work he did is now valued. I would definitely use this Provider again, and I highly recommend them!

Professional, courteous, punctual. I like that he didn't try to pressure me into purchasing more services. My garage door is very old, but he made it more serviceable for a few years more. Thank you.

I purchased and paid for this, but haven't heard a word from the Precision people about setting up a date to do it. If they don't do the service, how do I get a refund. This whole thing isn't working out very well, is it?

Door sticks on opening. As expected the door lasted less than four months and no longer opens. Now we'll see how long it takes to repair it.

We've had the wrong kind of door on the utility entrance to our garage since we moved in 6 years ago. After a recent burglary attempt we realized we needed to have that door replaced. It was at the time that Precision Door Service had a promotion through Angie's List and I jumped on it. Precision Door Service set up the appointment to discuss the options and take measurements. We agreed on type of door and waited a couple of weeks for delivery. Once the door was delivered the technician called me at work to let me know he was on his way to install the door. I met J.C. at my house and he got set up and I went back to work. When I got home from work, the job was done - beyond my expectations. I was extremely pleased with the "fit and finish" that J.C. did in replacing my door. He caulked perfectly around the edges I no longer see daylight anywhere around the frame. The door opens and shuts smoothly, no binding or rubbing anywhere. I would recommend that any doors you need replaced, to have them replaced by Precision Door Service.

This company issued a refund of the full amount to me and apologized. i think they are usually a very ethical company and I just got the wrong service person.

The technician was Jeff Masters. He arrived on time. Reworked my garage door mechanisms and answered all of my questions. The door works much better now.

All went well. Since this was a preventative service call, there wasn't an obvious result I could comment on. The mechanic / technician was competent and made suggestions of further service he felt should be performed. I wanted to consider the merits of his suggestions before I agreed to any additional work. As of today, I have not made a decision yet.
