Response from Other Side Lawn Service
I would like to start by stating that I have maintained much larger, more complex properties, and the reason given for not providing this all inclusive maintenance contract was "distance and instability of fuel costs", not because I was "overwhelmed" in any sense of the word. I did provide an accurate estimate for regular maintenance without delay , hesitance, or confusion but I was not willing to give an all inclusive (mulching, planting, plant removal, defining flower beds, weeding, hedges, mowing, small tree removal, leaf removal, hauling, including all materials and labor) estimate for contract over a 12 month period and feel that he will have trouble finding any company that will honor such terms, this is probably why he has had trouble with prior lawn services. The inquiry sent this in an e-mail after confusing the date of service, " My records show you were supposed to come out today to do the Angies List work. What gives? ". I felt it was unprofessional and abrupt, not to mention it rained heavily the night before and even on the day in question. I gladly gave him the opportunity to cancel his purchase and receive a refund. He did cancel the scheduled work, therefore I feel this grade and comment are inaccurate, irrelevant, and unjust. I don't see how my company can be rated when there was no work performed. I go above and beyond for my customers and my grades on Angie's List reflect such and I regret that this inquiry didn't get to experience that first hand.
