It was a great experience, it was beyond my expectations. He finished it in exactly eight weeks. He was one of the cleanest contractors I have ever worked with, everyday after he was finished he cleaned up any mess he had made. Everything was cleaned up and put away.

Val did a beautiful job and paid a lot of attention to detail. He was very meticulous and I plan to use Irish accents & Renovating Again for additional projects at my house! He showed up on time as well.

Va Little, company owner, has done outstanding work for us over the past 6 months. We are thoroughly enjoying our two bathroom renovation projects that he completed this past spring. His most recent job was to replace wallboard in our garage that was damaged as a result of flooding. He removed the damaged board, replaced with new board, scheduled his drywall guy to complete that work, then prepared and painted the walls. Val was responsive - gave a quote within a day of our request and finished the work on time (and under budget!). As usual, Val was very reliable, keeping in good contact with us via text and emails, we were 100% satisfied and highly recommend him for your home improvement / repair needs.

Office tour earned Val calls for other agent's properties for estimates. The office agents were impressed. Home sold in 60 days in a slowing market 29! I later met the same owners when I sold a home to buyers across the street 2012. I waved and said I had been the listing Realtor. I asked how they liked the home. I told them I had done the renovations prior to listing and asked if they liked what they got. They said they loved it! So that was a tribute to Val's work.

Val was great about returning calls/texts. He came out and looked at the deck that was badly in need of replacing. He suggested that the railing and the foundation were sound and could be salvaged. Only the deck flooring needed to be replaced and the post caps needed to be trimmed and new caps added. I mention he suggested only the deck flooring needed to be replaced as some might have suggested otherwise to have a larger project and the chance to charge more. Val was honest about what was needed. Val's specialty is bathroom remodeling..interior work. However, he completed the project we needed and did a great job. He's very personable, professional, dependable and certainly trustworthy. We would not hesitate recommending him and will keep his number handy for future work needed.

Val Little simplified a very complicated process. He was always prompt and on time. He put me in contact with other professionals that we needed for the job. He guided us through each step and made the whole renovation go smoothly. A very important detail for me was he kept the job site clean and spotless each day before he left. He completely earned our confidence and trust. He made recommendations but always allowed us to make final decisions. Val was very easy to work with and I would definitely use him again. We plan to do our master bathroom in near future & have already made plans with him. Our kitchen turned out beautiful and took less time than we had anticipated due to Val keeping the whole project organized.

It was great. He came over to look at it and had it fixed within 10 or 15 minutes.

Val's work was terrific, from start to finish. He was punctual, and excellent on communications. There were no surprises whatsoever, except for the fact that the job went like clockwork, without a hitch. Very trustworthy, very nice person. We'll absolutely use him again and highly recommend Val for tilework (which he did for us a few years ago) or flooring.

I bought the deal through Angie's List for carpentry services. Val, the owner, came by to look at the door that needed repair and was very pleasant as well as professional and clearly very knowledgeable about carpentry. We had a hard time scheduling a date for the repair because both of our schedules were busy. One morning I got a call from Val saying they had an opening and he could send a guy that same day to do the repair, and luckily I was available that day so it worked out well. The carpenter that he sent was very nice and worked hard for the full amount of time. When he was all done he presented me with a Home Depot receipt and asked to be reimbursed for the lumber and hardware costs. I was a little surprised but I realized I had never clarified with Val how that part would work so I paid him. Val called after the job was done to see how it went, and when I had some questions he stopped by the next day to discuss and make sure I was satisfied with the repair. Overall I received excellent customer service, and I would use Irish Accents again.

Big deal was 6 hrs carpentry for 249.00 then I paid extra for hours of work and materials beyond orig deal. Val and his worker replaced over a hundred pickets on my fence; resecured the gate to the house and reinforced the far end fence post with concrete. He located the pickets and gave me receipts for all materials and hours worked. Materials were $187.55 and labor 625.00. Val is a pleasant and good communicator. He's fast to respond and does excellent work. I have used him before for resurfacing back porch steps and rails. I highly recommend Val.

I can not say enough good things about Val Little and his team. First I called numerous painters over the two times I tried to get my kitchen cabinets painted (I have approx. 40-45 cabinets). It is so hard to have anyone reply...and then show up! Val was the perfect example of what you hope a contractor to be. Not only was he punctual and affordable his work ethic was great and he did a great job. Sadly I used someone else before I had heard about Irish accents and they just about ruined my cabinets. Val and his team had to do corrective sanding, patching, and repainting and it now looks fantastic. I hope to use him again on a rental property and to install some flooring.

I was so pleased with the job Val did with my deck and shed repair that I asked him to give me an estimate for my master bathroom remodel. The bathroom was a disaster with pink tile and sink, cheap vanity with formica top, ugly tile floor and no ventilation. Oh, and a pink rose wallpaper. So outdated, and a complete eyesore. Val worked with me to design a completely new bathroom for a modest and reasonable budget. He replaced all the tile in the shower and the floor, installed a new vanity (including new plumbing), built a new linen closet and added a new exhaust fan and recessed lighting. The results are beyond my expectations. The bathroom is the highlight of my house now. The quality of the workmanship is top class. Just as with the deck and shed repair, Val communicated with me regularly and I never had to wonder what was happening. He was willing to go the extra mile to help me with picking up materials and keep the work area as neat and tidy as possible. He was quick to respond to every call and text, and when changes were requested, he followed up right away. I can recommend Val without reservation, in fact, I will definitely work with him again on future projects.

My garden shed and backyard deck were in terrible shape. I was hoping I could avoid replacing both, so I called Val for an estimate on repairs. He responded right away and we set an appointment for the next day. He looked things over and made helpful suggestions about what could be done to fix the problems. He then sent me an estimate that I thought was very reasonable. Val and Sean came to the house within a couple of days and started work. Val rebuilt the doors to my shed and added a trim section around the bottom. After the paint went on, it looks like a completely new shed. Absolutely thrilled with the result. Sean handled the deck, and what a project it was. He had to reset all the nails and added new nails (with anchors) to keep the nails from popping up again. That was a huge project. Then he power washed the deck (600sqft) and applied 15 gallons of Deck Over. That's how bad the deck was. He replaced a couple of boards and added a trim section to the bottom of the deck. A complete transformation. I was quoted 15k for a new deck alone, so doing the shed and the deck for $1,400 was a great deal. Val and Sean were always on time and communicated with me every step of the way. Both were very professional and hard workers. I will definitely use them on another project.

Val Little, the owner worked closely with me to arrange a visit to evaluate the work needed and the materials and preparation needed. He measured and identified a plan for the repairs, including the materials and sizes selected for the job, which he purchased himself and brought to the job. The materials receipt was presented during the completion of the work, so I could reimburse him. He allowed me to use his account to purchase the paint required and in so doing, he did not "mark up" the cost of the paint. His work was EXCELLENT. A man of few words, he was nonetheless very pleasant to work with. I got more than I paid for. If you are concerned about small (or even large) repairs in and around your home, Val Little is an excellent choice.

Very professional work and he took his time to get it right. After painting the repaired area, I can't tell where the repairs were done. He prepared the area for painting with primer. He filled in all the areas in the Sheetrock that had rotted and filled it with compound. Outside, he used wood. I will use him for other work.

Went great. Val contacted us immediately after we bought our deal. Coordinated when to come out, called the day before and arrived right on time. He was friendly, thorough and quickly prepped the areas, painted and prepped the replacement wood and installed as soon as it was dry. He gave me his card and a brochure, but absolutely no hard sell or pressure for any other work. He was quick, clean and professional. Have already recommended him to a friend and plan to use him again.

Irish Accents & Renovations was able to work with my complex schedule and came over on a Saturday morning. I sent them photos of the damage and Val was able to provide what wood I should buy before he arrived so I could get the most out of the 4 hour period. He came on time, and talked to me several times before the appointment to schedule the appointment and answer my questions. He was outstanding, one of the best services that I have ever received from Angie's list. He went well above and beyond what I expected. He took his time to carefully remove all the Rotten wood and replaced wood BETTER THAN NEW. He not only primed the exposed wood but all sides of the wood. He worked every minute he was here and did a very professional job. He cleaned up after each step and as I said before left everything better than even the original builder when we bought the home 21 years ago. I would definitely hire Irish Accents & Renovations again for additional work.

Before I found Val I had called several contractors, who did not bother to return my calls to give me estimates. One contractor who did work on the inside of my house wanted to replace all my siding and plywood to "rebuild" the back of my house. They told me they would need to have at least four men working five days to get my work done. I guess that my expression of shock stopped them from submitting their estimate to me. Two years ago I signed a contract for this work with another contractor who did not show up to do the work. As a female, I have had a lot of negative experiences with other contractors who were not reputable in my 29 years of home ownership . Val had to fix wood that rotted after being improperly wrapped by one of those contractors. He maintained contact with me by text and email as it was necessary to delay the work due to inclement weather. Work started promptly when able. The work was completed within two days. It was a pleasure to find an honest person who is competent. He will be returning in the near future to do similar work to the front of my townhouse now that I have seen his work.

Val Little is a true craftsman who modestly displays countless skills which he executes with amazing speed and grace. My bathroom was in dire need of a remodel so I performed most of the non-skilled demo during which I discovered extensive water damage. Once down to studs Val suggested and designed a new layout for the bathroom making the most effective use of our odd shaped room and more than doubling the size of our previous 1960's shower. Every morning Val showed up on time and laid drop cloths through the path of our bedroom. He was very tidy and cleaned as he worked. He went above and beyond on every aspect of our remodel. We now have the master bathroom of our dreams which I am happy to share pictures of. THANK YOU VAL, YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND AND FOREVER MY TRUE JACK OF ALL TRADES!

. I wasn't even here when the work was done - but came back to a beautifully replace section of siding. All communication was by phone or text! It looks great and even my neighbors are pleased:-) Will call again for future work as needed!

Showed up at 0900 like we agreed. Noticed I just put down fresh mulch in our landscaping by the window to be repaired, he laid down plastic over our mulched beds, did the same thing in our living room. He was careful not too make a mess. Project went as planned until we notice the architecture around the windows required tools he did not have. Instead of trying to finish the job in a poor quality with the tools he had, he insisted on taking the material home so he could duplicate the integral wood work with the right tools. Unfortunately he lives in VB and I live in Yorktown. So needless to say this service was far more than I deserved for the price we paid. I would highly recommend Irish Accents.

He did a really nice job. He turned up the door opening that had stopped the air from coming in.
