Showed up at 0900 like we agreed. Noticed I just put down fresh mulch in our landscaping by the window to be repaired, he laid down plastic over our mulched beds, did the same thing in our living room. He was careful not too make a mess. Project went as planned until we notice the architecture around the windows required tools he did not have. Instead of trying to finish the job in a poor quality with the tools he had, he insisted on taking the material home so he could duplicate the integral wood work with the right tools. Unfortunately he lives in VB and I live in Yorktown. So needless to say this service was far more than I deserved for the price we paid. I would highly recommend Irish Accents.

He did a really nice job. He turned up the door opening that had stopped the air from coming in.

Val Little is a genius at all things household. He can cut tile and lay flooring, paint walls without incident, change door jams and handles, replace screens, handle plumbing and electrical issues and also will do ALL of that at your convenience. He is prompt and always reliable as well as being truly concerned about the well being and welfare of the client. He has NEVER missed on appointment, but, rather, calls and checks to see if his work is holding up properly as well as to see if I was satisfied with what he'd done. I simply cannot recommend him highly enough. His prices are not only reasonable (especially if you don't have to hire a plumber or electrician) but they are rates that anyone can afford. I've seen other work that Val has done (the reason I hired him to begin with) and have spoken with other friends and neighbors who have used him and it's unanimous that everyone is not just 'satisfied' with Val's work ethic and performance but that they all RAVE about him as I do. I can recount a story that I think speaks to Val's character as well. He was at my house one day taking some big blinds down off of a french door set of windows when I also had a local chimney sweep company come to clean my chimney before the cooler winter months started. This young guy started telling me all the repairs that needed to be done to the chimney and then quoted me an outrageous fortune (that I was about to pay) to fix it so that we could use the chimney without fear of burning the house down. This was the FIRST time that Val was ever in my home. He could have ignored this event but he didn't. He asked if he could speak with me privately and then told me that there was something amiss in some of the repairs that I was being told had to be made. I told the chimney guy that I would call him and then had Val take a look. Sure enough I would have been ripped off in a big way had I given this other company my business. Val put me in touch with someone reputable who did the repairs for less than 1/3 of what I'd been quoted. He didn't even know me but he not only had my back but saved me money too. That about sums up who Val Little and Irish Accents and Renovations is.

They provide great service. They are affordable and professional. The owner, Val also does property renovation and repair for property inspections as well. He is very knowledgeable.

He was on time every morning and when he didn't come he would call. Very professional workmanship, attention to detail. Knowledgeable in all phases of remodeling.

Val showed up on time. Professional looking with all the materials needed. Worked long days to get the job done. He went through the lot to make sure he did everything I had asked. Very meticulous.

Val was my # 1 sub for a large restoration company where I was project manager. I was always comfortable leaving him at a customer's house, and he needed no supervision. I would let him know what needed to be done, and he would do it. He showed up on time and stayed after hours if necessary. He dressed appropriately and was very professional with the customers. He treated people's home like it was his own.

I first met Val of Irish Accents as a project manager for a national restoration company (Insurance work which carried a 5 year workmanship warranty) where he was involved in no less than 150 different projects. Val was my most reliable trade and always exceeded our clients' expectations on time and under budget. He is honest, timely, polite, meticulous and incredibly fast. I have kept in touch with Val since leaving insurance work and often recommend him to family and friends. He made quick work of my bathroom demo a few weeks ago after I had all but given up on removing the metal lath myself and will have him back to install once all material are in.

It went very well. Val removed all of the cupboard doors, cleaning and painted inside a large number of cabinets, as well as all of the adjoining woodwork and cabinet sides. For the price, he also did a clean up job on the foyer (weather stripping and repainting.)
