Description of Work: DECK WORK - deck boards were installed too close together on average sized deck and since deck had slight tilt towards the house, water was collecting at rear of the house. Val and his guy raised the portion of the deck nearest the house so rain will now drain away from the house. Also drilled about 6 inconspicuous holes in the deck in deck board closest to house. Professional, responsive, no hassle group. About 6-8 man hours. $800 parts and labor.

Description of Work: Val Little is amazing! He came to my house to see what wood rot I needed replacing which was what was on the Angie's list deal I had purchased. He said it would be easy to fix and set a time the next week to do the work. He did a wonderful job replacing some rotted trim around a door and also some rot near the roof that was the result of a previous job not done correctly. I was so impressed! He is a very professional person and seemed eager to help me and to do a really nice job. It can be hard to find someone willing to do smaller repairs and not overcharge. He was the best and I will definitely use him again for small or large jobs. He called after he had finished to ask if I was happy and I was!

+ -1 moreVal was my # 1 sub for a large restoration company where I was project manager. I was always comfortable leaving him at a customer's house, and he needed no supervision. I would let him know what needed to be done, and he would do it. He showed up on time and stayed after hours if necessary. He dressed appropriately and was very professional with the customers. He treated people's home like it was his own.
Description of Work: Val Little is a true craftsman. There aren't many people like him out there anymore. Most people hurry through a job and take little or no pride in their workmanship. Val is very conscientious and will not leave a job until it is done right. He excels in drywall, painting, cabinets, countertops, tile, laminate, trimwork, finish carpentry, plumbing and numerous other trades. I have seen the cabinets he has built and they are flawless. He installed a kitchen tile countertop that was nothing but professional quality. Val installed a ceramic tile floor at my mother's house and did a quality job.

+ -1 moreI first met Val of Irish Accents as a project manager for a national restoration company (Insurance work which carried a 5 year workmanship warranty) where he was involved in no less than 150 different projects. Val was my most reliable trade and always exceeded our clients' expectations on time and under budget. He is honest, timely, polite, meticulous and incredibly fast. I have kept in touch with Val since leaving insurance work and often recommend him to family and friends. He made quick work of my bathroom demo a few weeks ago after I had all but given up on removing the metal lath myself and will have him back to install once all material are in.
Description of Work: Irish Accents has performed multiple jobs which I have overseen in the last 4 years. Nearly all aspects of construction from drywall and painting to tile, plumbing and ceiling fans, even cabinet refacing and entry doors. Val can do most anything and at a fair price. He has great pride in his work and is very efficient.

+ 2 moreIt went very well. Val removed all of the cupboard doors, cleaning and painted inside a large number of cabinets, as well as all of the adjoining woodwork and cabinet sides. For the price, he also did a clean up job on the foyer (weather stripping and repainting.)
Description of Work: Referbished kitchen cabinets and island, including repairs, internal and external painting, hardware replacement where needed.
