Home Solutions came out to work on several things at my home and was professional, reasonable priced and the work was perfect. I will continue to use them for my handy man needs.

Very satisfied with the work performed. Was called the morning the work was to be performed and found out they wanted me to supply the paint. Had no idea that was not included in the cost or the amount or type needed. They did, however , have the paint on hand and did not add an extra charge. Don't know what the $528 was for if it didn't include paint. If I had known, I would have gotten other bids. Again the worker was very pleasant and did a great job.

Everything went weil with no problems. Mike Espsito followed up with phone call after our next rain to ascertain that I had no more roof leaking problem.

The serviceman who came to my house was extremely helpful. He performed all the tasks that I had requested. The results were excellent. I was completely happy with the work that was done and was exceptionally pleased that he removed all the packing and other trash after completing the work.

Mike came to the house to give estimates for a number of projects and after receiving the estimates, I went with the porch column replacement, install gutter and downspout, and install the screen door to my new kitten foster room. The handyman (forgot his name) that Mike sent out arrived on time with everything he need to do the jobs. Mike had called me earlier and stated he had been unable to locate the vinyl column I wanted and told me as soon as they had one they would come back to install it. The handyman first installed the screen door. It had to be modified with plexy glass and wire mesh screen. The door looked great when it was done and the install was done in a professional manner. He even told me he would have to cut the existing door trim, which I knew as the existing door was staying in place. The door looks great and it was just what I wanted. The gutter and downspout was installed after and again in a professional manner. About a week later I was called by Candy, from their office to let me know the porch column had come in and set a day to install it. Again the install was professional done and I love the look of the vinyl column. I did notice during a hard rain that the gutter downspout leaked and I called, and for some reason did not get a call back so I had to call again and after talking to Candy, Mike called and came out to look at it and immediately had someone out to fix it. I was happy with the entire experience from the first contact to the completion of the jobs. Next time I have work that needs to be done around the house I will call Home Solutions again.

Mike and crew thoroughly identified all potential sources of leakage and developed a plan that completely sealed the walls, windows and the junction of the two. The entire crew were a pleasure to work with, paid great attention to detail, used top quality materials and left everything just as they found it. Last night we had a strong storm as the first test of the repairs and not a hint of leakage. Job well done.

I love them and they did it. Everything's brand new and I would use them again for my next bathroom. It's very reasonable for what I got. I love their professionalism. They were clean, smart and outstanding for the level of what you get when you hire a contractor. They came out and insisted fixing of what's the problem. They check up on me and they have great customer service.

The crew was punctual and professional. The work turned out just as we had hoped. They did a nice job and we plan to hire them again in the future.

I am pleased with their work, they are really slow. They get to you in a week but overall we were pleased with their work.

Mike and his team were just great to work with. They were responsive, polite and they did a good job of cleaning up after the work. I am a professional interior designer and I was in need of someone to do some "heavy lifting" for one of my clients. Both my client and I have nothing but rave reviews for this company and it's personnel. Mike even made a trip out on a late Friday afternoon when he had been ill all week to check a problem another contractor on the job declared a work stop problem. He was quick to fix any job problem and communicated well with myself and my client. I think the highest praise I can give him is that beyond our initial contract for the interior work, my client hired him for exterior work and has been extremely pleased with that also. I will be using Home Solutions for all my work from now on both work related and personal.

My experience with them has always been very nice. I have used them at my house couple of other times and they have always been very professional, real thorough and their estimates have been correct most o the time. So I will definitely use them again. Their price was fair.

Quality of work was good.

They were great. They were really clean when they came to do what they were really trying to do when they were working on the crown molding. There was no mess at all. I told them my neighbor had a baby and I really didn't want to keep a whole bunch of noise, so they parked at a distance and walked the stuff over. They did all the prep work at a distance and they walked the stuff over. They were really courteous.

I found them on the list and they did a great job. They did some re-caulking and they made sure that they got a good match. They were courteous and they quoted me the price before hand and it did not take them very long. They were careful to match the color that was already there.

The owner Mike showed up to my house on time as scheduled, and was very personable. The contractors who did the work presented with the same qualities, however, they conveniently cut and sanded doors on top of boxes stored in my garage while we were away from the home (We were currently in the process of packing all of our personal goods for a move which were stored inside the garage). When I got home the workers had already left the premises and left behind all the debris which was covering my electronics, wife's clothes, child's toys, and my Harley Davidson motorcycle. When I notified the company, they did offer to assist in the clean-up, however, I opted to do it myself due to the personal nature of some items, and the meticulous care required for the high dollar ones. I spent a solid four hours of my personal time cleaning up their mess, and still have remnants of particulates inside the electronics and on the bike. What truly blew my mind was the follow-up email I received from the owner assuring me that his employees were not culpable. In response I sent back photos of everything I described. I have yet to receive any additional traffic from the company. Also, there appeared to be a mistake made on one of the doors, which was then patched with some kind of white filler.

They did a great job. Will hire them again.

As with all of my experiences with this awesome company, I thought I would try my hand at plumbing and when everything went horribly wrong (it always does) Candy set me up with a same day service call. The old toilet was gone and the new beautiful one was installed before my husband got home from work. This company is fantastic: prompt, honest and professional. Something I love about this company is that there are NO surprises with the cost. Mike goes out of his way to think of every possible improvement that can be made within the scope of your expectations and itemizes it. ultimately, you get exactly what you want without any nasty, last minute surprises.

I purchased a new kitchen sink and had it installed by Home Solutions. I was called and told the time Mike would arrive. He arrived on time. He removed the existing kitchen sink faucet and replaced it with the one I purchased. That was two and a half weeks ago. The install was timely and I have had no problems. I have used this company in the past and they have alway done a good job.

Mike arrived on time, very courteous, answered all my questions. Adam arrived shortly after with the heater and stayed to help. They checked to ensure it was working before they left. Price was higher than some competitors, but considering the 12 year guarantee it beat out the competition. This the third job for us and they are our go to guys

It was nothing but a nightmare dealing with this company. I would not recommend them to anybody that has a "large" job, or works like an average American, 8-5. After sending a small list to the company via Angie's List, I called them to ask a few questions and make an appointment for an estimate. I spoke with Candy, she seemed very friendly and after explaining that my son and I are on opposite side of the water every day for school and work, we scheduled an appointment for between 4/430 on January 21, 2014. The day before my scheduled appointment I received a call from Candy asking to reschedule, that there would not be enough time for my appointment. After asking if nights or weekends were available and being told no, I told her that I did not know when I would be available, because of my sons school schedule and my work schedule during the week, that I would have to call back. After that she offered to change somebody else's schedule. I did not feel right or comfortable doing that so again told her that I would call when I had a better idea of my schedule. (Mind you during that call I was put on hold several times.) Finally after that, she asked me to hold once more, which is when I spoke to Mary for the first time, she ask if I would be available Monday, since my son was out of school. I told her that I could go into work late that day, but that was not good for them either, Mike needs to be on the job sites in the morning, he usually does estimates in the afternoon. So once AGAIN, I explained to Mary that I would call back when I had a better idea of my schedule. Monday rolls around and my husband has the day off, I called the company in hopes, but not expecting to schedule an appointment, the date now being January 20, 2014. As expected, there was not space available, no big deal, after going over my schedule again with Mary, we scheduled another appointment for January 28, 2014, at 530pm. After getting off the phone with Mary I emailed the information on the home inspection we had done on Saturday, January 18, 2014. Upon her receiving it, I get a call back from her asking to slim it down. I am no professional and explained to Mary that the lists are just a general ideas for Mike, that it would be more clear once we could walk through my home together. Well, to end it all I get a call about an hour ago from Candy to cancel the appointment for the estimate on January 28, 2014. She said she was told by Mike that, "it's too big of a job for him to schedule right now." I told the woman that there were two main things we wanted to get done, which was our sliding glass patio door and our flooring. The majority list is maintenance or more cosmetic work, that we would like to have a quote on should it be something we can afford to knock off the list now, or wait to have an idea of cost for a future buyer. The house was built in 1947, so it needs some tlc from typical settling and wear. As I told Candy on the phone, I will say the same to any person thinking of using this company, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO SOMEBODY THAT WANTS TO MAKE MONEY, NOT TURN IT AWAY! (ESPECIALLY BEFORE EVEN LOOKING AT A JOB!)

Will not service Peninsula. Angie's List should ensure that all vendors say what area they will cover. Not all wil venture up to Newport News or Yorktown, even though it isn't that far. Well, they lost out on some business.

Home Solutions presents itself as a professional, quality-oriented company and although I believe they aspire to live up to that image, their workmanship and especially their supervision of work misses the mark by a considerable margin. We hired them to do some fairly simply drywall work, some other miscellaneous work and some painting. It was supposed to take 5 to 7 business days but it took 7 weeks instead. The original crew they sent out didn't know what they were doing and made a terrible mess out of things. They tried to fix the drywall problems they had but that just made things worse. Finally, they got someone here that knew what they were doing and made it right. There was little continuity between workers - e.g. different people would show up and not be familiar with where things had been left the day before. They usually didn't arrive until 9 or 9:30 and didn't stay past 3 on most days. In fairness, I'll say that the drywall work ended up looking good, but gosh what an ordeal to get there!

Mike and the team were great. Mike came to the house and met with me on EXTREMELY short notice and completed all of the work on the house without me having to be there the following week. The pricing seemed fair to me and the work was fast. Candy and Mary were very helpful and thorough in their communication. It was so easy to work with Home Solutions that I called them back to do a few more things after the initial work was complete. Grateful to have found Home Solutions and would definitely recommend them to others in the area.

Excellent! The owner, Mike Esposito, personally performed the initial assessment and estimate and assisted us in tile and materiel selection. Mike's work on demolition and reconstruction was excellent keeping any mess to a bare minimum and ensuring that we were aware of the extent of damage caused by water leakage. Darrell did an excellent work on the mudding and tiling of the shower making sure that everything was not only functional but visually appealing as well. The estimate was very reasonable and the final cost was well within my expectations due to additional work required due to the damage created by the defective shower. We felt fully involved and engaged throughout the process. From the owner to the workers and Mary and Candy working in the office, everyone at Home Solutions, Inc. did a superb job. I would highly recommend them and will certainly let my friends, neighbors and colleagues know about them.
