Deborrah from the office was the most outstanding customer service provider from start to finish. She coordinated most of the work, handled my phone calls, scheduled billing, and in general guided me through the process start to finish. I can't say enough good things about her. My estimate visit was coordinated around my schedule with Mike (only 2 days after I called). He was upfront with costs and estimates were given within 24 hrs via email. The work started on time, although it did last longer than originally anticipated. Deb called me every morning to let me know the plan of the day, who was coming, and would direct any questions to Mike that she could not answer. The guys who came over to do the work were usually the same 3, were very professional, and left my home very clean after each day of work which made living in my home during the project more bearable. Despite lasting longer than I thought it would (by about 1 week), I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and especially the professionalism of their office and staff. I would highly recommend this company.

I don't mind if they can't come to my area, but they should have just said it up front instead of taking nearly a week for an answer and not calling me back at all.

I called for an estimate on a siding job and porch repair. I was given a estimate for the siding repair the next day via phone call. At that time I was asked to provide a the age of the house and a drawing of the porch to email and fax into the company. I stopped persuing them at this point for the repair. I did not find that it was necessary or proper for myself to have to provide a drawing.

I am very pleased with this company. Everyone did a good job: Mike Esposito came out when he said to look over the work needed and provide estimates; Deborah the office manager mailed or faxed estimates, called to confirm each appointment, called in the morning to alert me to the arrival time of the handyman and returned calls promptly when I had questions or needed assistance; Mike the handyman was personable, did extremely good work and went above and beyond to make sure everything was satisfactory (for example: when cleaning the gutters he discovered that the garage gutter was not attached securely and he fixed it; when he repaired the cracks in the wall, he re-plastered out as far as needed to really make the repair look indiscernible; he made sure that the tub door repair would last by using a plastic shim and caulking it securely; and he did an excellent job of re-tiling the floor, getting under the small radiator as much as possible - the whole thing looks seamless); Richard, the carpenter handyman who replaced the bathroom sub-floor, also did a great job on a badly water-damaged floor and was very likable and congenial. There was one glitch when during the floor repair the small radiator began to leak a bit but they sent Mike the handyman out the next day and he fixed it. I was anxious about being charged for this repair but Mike realized that the leak had somehow occurred during the floor repair work and simply fixed it. I believe I might have been able to get lower cost estimates for at least some of the work I had done but what I really, really wanted was dependability and I got that 100% - the work was scheduled quickly and conveniently (based on when I could be there) and they came and did what was scheduled every single time. Plus the work done was really good, too. I plan to use them again as I have several more jobs that need doing, and my neighbor also contracted with them based on my feedback to him. I've had terrible experiences over the past 10 years trying to get these smallish home repairs done because the people I contact don't return calls or come when they say they will or return to complete jobs. I am greatly relieved to have found a company I feel I can rely on completely. Also, the 10% off member coupon from Angie's list helped reduce the total expense so that was helpful.

House Doctors is a very professional company. I called on Friday 8/6/10 and set-up an appointment for an estimate on August 10th between 4:30 and 5:00 pm. Mike E., arrived at the arranged time to give me the estimate. I showed him the floor with the water damage. He measured , wrote down details of what I wanted done and said he would give me a written estimate on the 11th. On the 11th, Deborra, the receptionist/secretary sent me the estimate. I immediated called her and set up an appointment to have the sub-floor replaced. She set up the appt for Monday the 23rd. On the morning of the 23rd, she gave me the name of the employee who would be doing the work, Bob. Bob showed up on time, and successfully completed the task. ALL of the employees were friendly, professional and seemed honest. I would HIGHLY recommend them. The estimate for the job was $564.50. [This might have been a little high, BUT, I needed the work]. I forgot too ask them, until after I agreed to the price, if I could use the Angie'sList Coupon. They Happily accepted the coupon...which brought my cost down to about $510.

The finished result is adequate, but it took them months longer than expected to finish the built-ins. In addition, the built-ins were not what we asked for and the sizes were off, and the company was not very responsive in trying to fix the issues. The built-ins look great and were decently priced, but we just ended up accepting them rather than waiting any longer (or having to haggle with them any more).

It took longer than originally expected due to weather and problems with existing wiring, but in the end, I was very pleased with the professional job that was done by Mike Stevens of House Doctors.

I called House Doctors per Angie's List and I was delighted with the first person I spoke with, Deborah! The information she gave me and the persons she recommended was excellent and arrangements were made for someone to come out and look at problems and give me an estimate. This was done, the terms were accepted and the work was started and completed as agreed. We intend to have House Doctors do all that is needed around our home in the future. We would recommend them to any and all who want professional and excellent service.

Overall, from my first phone call to them to their last phone call to me (which happened way after the work was completed-- just to see that everything was all right) it went very well.

As they have the previous two times I used them, they did a great job. Fixed the window quickly and professionally. When they cut out the damaged section of drywall in the ceiling, they found that a previous handyman hired when we had tenants in the house had repaired the leaking bathtub but re-installed the same piece of water-damaged drywall. Verified that the tub was not leaking and installed a clean piece of drywall over the hole, resulting in a smooth professional look at much less cost than we had anticipated. Have now used this company three times for three different jobs and have been pleased with the results each time. I wish they worked on weekends, as it would make it easier to schedule them, but otherwise, nothing I would change.

They were on time. They were professional and were fine. They had done what they said they would do. They weren?t the most personable people and their quotes weren?t the best, though.

The company was on time and completed the work quickly. I did mention that I got the company name off Angie's list, however I did not get the 10% discount mention on their page. I'm not sure if that was because of a misunderstanding between myself and the office staff.

We really liked them. My husband, who dealt with them, was very pleased. They did a great job and we would recommend them.

He was very helpful and very considerate. We haven?t gone ahead with the project yet. Our experience with them was good.

They were very down to earth and honest. The price was good, I called back to ask about something and everything was explained to me.

I called they quickly came out to look at the job, then promptly sent an estimate. Carpenter arrived on the agreed upon date and took measurements and ordered special mahogany for the finish carpentry. Carpenter and roofer arrived on the same day and completed the work. Roof repair required a small change order when worker discovered rotted sheet of plywood. No delay in completion.

Have used them twice. Both times were courteous and professional and did a good job. Had one mix-up where they had failed to mention their minimum charge, but that was resolved without issue (they went with the price they had quoted me, rather than the minimum charge). They aren't cheap, but they do good work.

Prompt estimate and communication. Work was done beautifully,, professionally. Employees/workers courteous ..Very satisfied. Lots of compliments from family and friends!!

The handyman was on time very professional, understood the details of the job. I was very pleased with the work! Price was reasonable.

I contacted them through email and received a return call from Deb in their office, very promptly. She set up a time for Mike Esposito to come out for estimates and he arrived right on time. The next morning I received an estimate in my email, which I sent back. An start date not far off was named, one that I had to push back myself, but on that rescheduled day, things went along very efficiently and well. They really did their best to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I ended up paying them more, but I added new jobs to the list as they worked and they were able to get the personnel and materials to do those additional things right away.

Excellent company to work with. Deborah in the office was terrific and everything happened just as she explained it would. Both workers (Mike was one but don't recall the name of the other one) were prompt, very friendly, professional, and prompt. The quality of the work was great and they even cleaned up afterwards. Great service, great people.

The performance was great. We had a minor communication problem with whether or not they could perform the work on the date requested by me. This issue was resolved once I contacted the company. Deborah was quick to inform me that the date selected was good. She also contacted me the following morning to let me know the approx time the handyman would arrive at my home.

Mike came out to do the quote at the end of the week before Labor Day and said he would be back with us on the following Tuesday. We waited. At the beginning of the following week, we received a call from House Doctors telling us that a carpenter would be out the next morning before 9am. We were anxious to have the work done, so decided to change our appointments and be available. We waited again. Late in the afternoon, the carpenter finally called and wanted to come right over. By then our schedule would not allow the appointment and I asked him to call the following week. I indicated that we had been told he would be at our home in the early morning and he said he was not told of this time. He said he would call the following week. We waited a third time. That was last week. Needless to say, this is a bad way to start a project and it appears that communication and punctuality would both be issues. We've decided to find another contractor.
