We bought a home that we knew needed work. One of the things we contracted to have done was to replace the aluminum wiring. Our experience did not go well and when I found out that the electrical work had not been done, I quickly joined Angie's List and began looking for an electrician that was highly rated and capable of re-wiring our home. I called several companies and Cole Electric was the quickest to respond and gave me the most detailed work proposal estimate and included everything I had asked for. They came in, evaluated the job and gave me an estimate that same day. I was happy to see an estimate that was so complete as to what was actually being contracted and at a reasonable price. Scott was happy to answer and explain all of my questions. Once the job started, his team was on time everyday, cleaned up when they left for the day and never left us without use of the kitchen, bath or laundry. Drywall damage was minimal and patching was complimentary. I couldn't be happier with our choice and would certainly recommend Cole Electric to anyone needing electrical work. Scott and his team were always courteous, professional and delivered A-1 customer service. They came in, did what they said they were going to do and did it in less than half the time!!

Scott Cole came out on the very day that I called (I've never had such quick service) and determined what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The next day, two men came out and did the work. They were efficient and competent, and they cleaned up after themselves. All the work was completed within one morning. My experience Cole Electric was very positive and I would definitely call on them again.

They completed everything I asked for in a professional and fast manner for a last minute call from me. They also gave me recommendations for things I should consider in the future.

This is the 3rd time I have called Coles Electric to remedy my electrical issues. This time I needed an outlet installed into a closet, and decided while they were here, to have them replace 2 existing ceiling lights with new fixtures. Not only did I get same day service, but the electricians arrived on time and completed the work promptly. They did a great job cleaning up after the work was completed, and Scott Cole called to make sure I was happy with the work.

They do outstanding work but are very expensive. I had used them on a previous job and would use them again.

I generally dread having to work with contractors, it seems if you want three quotes you have to call at least six of them just to get people to call back. Based on a coworkers experience, and their great reports here on Angie's List, I called Cole Electric first. I am happy to tell you that they are NOT the typical contractor! First, they actually answer the phone when you call which is rare enough. Someone was at my home the following day to check out the work I wanted done. They asked plenty of questions to make sure they understood what I wanted done, and they also answered a lot of questions that I had about how the various options and why they made the recommendations they did. I was given a detailed written estimate before they left (no waiting for days/weeks for someone to drop an estimate in the mail!!!). After speaking with a couple of other electricians (who all gave lower estimates), I called Scott back to give them the job because their crew seemed the most knowledgeable and confident in their work. We got it scheduled for Monday morning. The crew showed up on time with all the materials they'd need, and had the appropriate permits (I mention this only because, sadly, this isn't the norm for most contractors I've dealt with - why do they go to great lengths to avoid this?????). The crew was professional, courteous and efficient. All work was completed on time, it looked and worked great. After discussing a few things about the job, the crew cleaned up and headed out. That evening I received a call from Scott to follow up on the work that was done, making sure I was satisfied with his team and the quality of the work. I will not hesitate to hire them again, and I have already recommended them to two coworkers that are getting similar work done.

I would definitely recommend Cole Electric to anyone who needs electrical work done. They are genuine and professional, showed some love to my dogs, and even added a double switch for my ceiling fan at no extra charge so I can operate either the fan or the light separately. I felt completely satisfied with their work!!

Mr. Scott Cole came and gave me advice and an estimate for installing recessed lighting in my kitchen (part of a kitchen make-over). He tentively scheluled the work to be accomplished the week of the 1/16. He called me th following day to say that if it was all right with me, his crew would be available the next day, 1/12. His crew came in on the 12th, they were courteous and professional, suggesting and making minor changes to the original plan. The only thing I was unsatisfied with was the size and type of bulbs used. Something we hadn't discussed. I have changed the bulbs and I am very happy with the project.

I called Scott Cole, the owner of Cole Electric on Saturday morning , February 4, 2012, and asked for a quote on the installation of a new electrical panel, 7 cable outlets,and 4 grounded outlets for a home I was moving into. The house was built in 1958 and the elecrical system needed some updating. I called him because I was impressed by the quality of his Angie's List reviews. Mason, one of Scott's electricans, arrived at approximately 1 pm that same day and gave me an estimate for the work I wanted done. He told me that they would be able to do the work on Friday, February 10 or Monday, February 13. I felt that his quote was very reasonable and I signed a contract to have the work done. Scott called me on Wednesday, February 8 and informed me that he could start the work the following day. The installations went well. The work was started and finished on Thursday and inspected by the city of Virginia Beach the following day. I am very pleased with the price Scott quoted me, the quality of the work, and his pro active communications. I will definitely have Cole Electric do more work for me in the future.

I called Mr. Scott about an electrical problem at my bead store. He had his people there within an hour and replaced the breaker. This was great as we were open for business and needed it fixed ASAP. Now everything works and Mr. Scott saved the day. I was very pleased with his work and would definitely use him again.

The experience was great overall. He was extremely prompt; within 2 hours of when I made the phone call, he came out. The work was done professionally, the staff was good, and really new what they were doing!

We had noticed sparks coming from this outlet and then smoke was coming from it. We turned off the power to that outlet via the circuit breaker panel. We call Cole Electric and they came out and replaced the outlet. They checked the circuit breaker panel making sure there were no underlying issues other than a busted outlet. The workers were kind and professional.

Scott called as soon as I requested the service and was able to get us in within a couple of days. Since this was no emergency, this was perfect for us!!

Two very professional electricians showed up, discussed the necessary adjustments to the work we had planned and why, and gave a price upfront. It was clear that we needed to go the direction they suggested, so they did the work right then, quickly and well. Mr. Cole gave a follow-up call to make sure we were satisfied with the work. We consider Mr. Cole and his company "our electricians."

I sent Mr. Cole an email on 12/26 and he replied that same evening but it went to my junk mail so I didn't receive it. I called him the next morning to set an appointment & he said he could fit me in later that afternoon. The technicians arrived, they were very pleasant & professional. They found the problem in 30 seconds. It was a ground fault outlet on another wall. They had everything fixed within 20 minutes. I am very pleased with this company and will most definitely use them for all my families electrical needs. I would without hesitation recommend them to all my family & friends.

I called Cole Electric because of the positive reviews on Angie's List. Mr. Cole was on the phone with another customer but answered the phone, got my number and called me back shortly. I told him that neither my husband or I could meet him at the house that day, but the following day would be good if he could fit us in. The following afternoon he called and said that he could be there in 15 minutes. My husband was able to meet him at the house and he and a helper were able to fix the problem in less than an hour. He replaced the bathroom outlets and an outside outlet (and caulked the outside cover). He explained that moisture could have been the cause of the problem. I am very happy that the problem was fixed quickly. The following day he called to make sure everything was working properly and that I was satisfied with the service provided. Very professional!

Very professional company. They were prompt and completed all of the items in less than a day. Prices were fair and workmanship was excellent, no signs they were here other than the newly working lights and fans. Would use them again for future work.

A wonderful company! Contacted them on a Monday morning with an electrical problem and they were on-site within 3 hours. They were extremely responsive, considerate, and professional. After evaluating the problem they thoroughly explained, in laymen's terms, everything that needed to be done. They arrived fully prepared to complete the repair and quickly went about the repairs in a no-nonsense, but courteous manner. Upon finishing the repairs,they cleaned their work site completely. A very professional company. We will use them for all of our future electric problems/repairs/remodeling.

They arrived within a few minutes of the agreed upon time. Both technicians were very polite and explained to me that this was a problem caused by age. (This was the original outlet in a home that is 28 years old). The price was what Scott quoted me, plus parts, and I received a discount due to being an Angie's list member. Scott called me the following day to ask if I was satisfied with the service. I told him I was very satisfied and would definitely use him again as well as recommend him to anyone who needed the services of an electrician.

I made the initial call for just some electrical outlets. They were very punctual, and had the outlets fixed in 10 minutes. Another electrician had been here for 2 days and could not figure it out, he just put cover plates on them. While they were in my home, I asked about an estimate on recessed lighting and under cabinet lighting. The price seemed right to me, and most importantly I trusted the men that had come to fix the outlets. I contacted their service office to get on the schedule. I am in the middle of a kitchen remodel, so I wanted it done as soon as possible. They ended up staying, and completing the recessed lighting and under cabinet lighting. 2 additional men were sent over with the lighting and it was completed in a few hours. I love the additional lighting in my kitchen. They did a fantastic job, and I will use them in all future electrical needs.
