Scott Cole the owner put Zero energy into this project, and still sent a bill of over 400. Without any work done.

I want to start off saying that we’re very professional over the phone. But, when I called saying my power was not working they were very responsive to come out and attempt to fix it. They came out noticed the issue was not able to be fixed because of the crawl space being wet. Charged my gf that did not know what to do $175 for saying they couldn’t fix the problem. A technician from another company came out and fixed the issue in 15 minutes and charged less not even needing to go into the crawl space. I called to get my money back and they were professional, but could not refund me the money because it “cost money to send the truck”. So if you don’t want to lose $175, I wouldn’t recommend.

Mason and his team of 2 other helpers showed up exactly on time & completed the entire job in less time than originally expected. Mason is exceptionally knowledgeable & all my questions were answered thoroughly & completely. His two helpers also were courteous & professional. Andy at Cole did a fantastic job of coordinating with me as well as did Karla at the office. Definitely would use again! Larry H.

Excellent contractor, Great work. Completed all work in about 6 hours with minimal down time. Locations work was done were cleaner when they completed work than when they started. Great company would highly recommend to any one needing electical work.

I am pleased to highly recommend Cole Electric for your electrical work. This week, I suddenly found myself without power in the garage and the apartment above the garage. This not only meant that I could not use my cars, but also that the heat pump, water heater, and two refrigerators in the garage and apartment did not work in what were the 3 coldest days and nights in Hampton Roads this year. I called upon the team at Cole Electric who promptly returned my call, and set up an appointment at a mutually agreeable time. The day of the appointment, Andy called to better understand the problem, so that the technician, Dylan, had the right parts on his truck when he arrived. Dylan was absolutely top notch. He performed a diagnostic of the two junction boxes in the house and garage, tightened all the wires and replaced some circuit breakers that clearly were the wrong type. The process took less than two hours and he explained everything he was doing. He left after double checking that everything worked in the garage and apartment. The next day, Andy texted to make sure everything worked. This was exceptional service and follow up. I am sure to use them again for all my electrical needs. They were prompt, efficient and reasonably priced. I have nothing but praise for their work.

The guys that came were absolutely awesome! Mason came in and I explained what we needed done, he was exceptionally professional and very understanding. I showed him where we needed the fan installed and had only anticipated them to install the electric, we were going to install the fan later but the guys went the extra mile and not only just installed the fan but also installed the remote mechanism as well. The guys were extremely nice, I told them they didn’t have to do it that we could do it later and they said they were here and could do it quicker so they didn’t mind doing it at all. I even had another issue that had come up over the weekend in my kitchen, I asked if they could just scope it out and I could setup another appointment to fix it but Mason said no way, I will go ahead and fix that little issue right now. So not only did they install the electric, they put up my fan and installed the remote mechanism that I’d purchased separately, but they also fixed my issue in my kitchen! We cannot say enough positive things about the crew we had help us. I know I thanked them like 10 times but it still wasn’t enough, we are genuinely appreciative and impressed. We’ve already agreed if we have any other electric needs in our home we will call Mason at Cole Electric again! I’ve already recommended him to a few friends and family members!

I was told that I would receive a call (the night before) to confirm my appointment- this did not happen. The electrician did not show up at the scheduled time. When I called them, their excuse was an emergency call- they did not call me to let me know of they would be delayed. They showed up 3 hour after the scheduled appointment. Next, I was told the amount of the bill. Once I received the full quote, I asked about their posted angieslist 10% discount. They stuttered around and then said that it did- which is a lie. The person arranging appointment s need further training because she is telling customers one thing but not following up. She made many excuses for her ineptitude. This was one of the worse experience I have had with a "professional electrical services". I will not use them ever again.

The guys from Cole Electric are awesome!!!! They were friendly, professional and went above and beyond to do the job right the first time. This is the second project they completed for me. Each time the job was exactly what I asked for and more. I am now a loyal customer and will ALWAYS use them for my electrical needs.

I live in a flipped home and hired them to correct some electrical work that the sellers did not have completed correctly. Andy came out to do an appraisal on the work and he was polite, professional and even taught me some things. The guys who came out after I decided to hire Cole electric were also polite and quick workers. Andy had to come out again to get the permits for the work and again he was professional and arrived at exactly the time he told me he would.

They checked the electrical in the house and make sure it is OK.

Technician arrived on time, suggested options or how to control the fan and light with single or double switches, and swapped out the fan and installed new wall switches. Great job.

The Cole people were professional, courteous, and efficient. Communications were always clear. We had contracted with them before, and we will again if we have electrical needs.

Cole informed me that they did not service our area. Your first question needs an N/A as they did not do any work but at least responded to my phone message informing that they do not service my Yorktown area...please note that their website indicates otherwise.

I cannot say enough good things about the electrical work done by Cole Electric. I purchased a stackable washer/dryer but forgot to check that I had an outlet for the dryer close enough to where I wanted to place the units. This became critical because the installers were coming on Monday and this was the Friday before. Cole Electric was rated high on Angie's List so I called and Scott Cole answered. He had one of his electricians come out that same day to assess the job and give me an estimate. They said that they could get started at 0800 the next morning and arrived promptly at 0800 on Saturday morning. Since it was for a dryer, I needed to have a dedicated circuit added to my circuit box and new conduit and lines run. The entire job only took a short time including clean up (yes they cleaned up) and I was ready for the installers to hook up my units on Monday. They charged exactly what they estimated. I intend to use them again for some other electrical needs in my house. I have recommended them to many of my neighbors and friends. I wholeheartedly give them an "A" rating for the work they did for me.

Fantastic job. Within 90 minutes of our call, 3 workers showed up with all the materials needed to do the job, including the 14' ladder. A great team effort working quickly and efficiently. They used drop clothes and cleaned up when they were done. Would highly recommend!

When I called and emailed the company, I explained all required items (mentioned 1 ground fault switch change and found I needed 2; was told additional one was $50) and thought I was told I was in the 'minimum cost' range of $150 which seemed about right to me. Electricians came the next day which pleased me. Upon inspection by electricians I was told the job would be $350!! The price given was actually incorrect due to a miscommunication; actual charge was $250 which was acceptable. The job was completed well; a trip was also needed to go to a nearby Lowe's (10 min. trip one way) to replace the broken one I had purchased (I had bought the lights and fixture for the flood light repair) - I had offered to go but was told it was no problem and wasn't charged extra for this. i was very happy with the response time and the work done; (they even advised me of a leak in the roof near the outdoor fixture.)

The Cole Electric Team did a great job for my wife and I! We hired them to install recessed lighting throughout our house. They were very nice and professional. Kept me informed through every step. The owner called me at the end of each day to check his crew's professionalism and quality of work. I will definitely hire them again for any electrical work in the future.
