Outstanding! I called and spoke with Scott and he had a crew at the home the following day! This is a rental and he was amazing! Very polite crew. Even checked out our smoke detectors and did not charge. He had three guys working for two days and this price was very reasonable! He will be my only electrician for both my Virginia homes from now on! Highly highly recommend! Scott keep up the great personal service! It is hard to find these days! Really appreciate it!!

We contacted Mr. Cole and described the scope of work we needed to get done. He asked us to send him an email with the scope of work, address and contact information. He explained on Friday that his team was very busy and thanked us for our patience. By Monday morning, he called my wife and gave an estimate and he had a technician ready to come over to start work if we accepted the estimate. That is why we hire Mr. Cole and his team - they are professional, responsive and they come ready to work at a fair price. Mr. Cole explains the scope of work and any obstacles that he sees with the job, I like that. This is the third time that Cole Electric has come to perform work at my home and the result was excellent once again. I trust Cole Electric to work on our 107 year old house and will hire him again for the last part of our renovation in the future.

The GFI installed on the deck kept tripping and the fridge attached to it then shut off. I contacted them and informed Mr. Cole. He said he was concerned that the fridge was doing this. It kept doing it for months. I replaced the GFI myself and it solved the problem, has not tripped in weeks.

Impressed with the fact that Scott offered an appointment for the next day, Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, at no extra charge. and without it being an emergency situation. Steve, the electrician who arrived, was on time, was profressional, answered all of my questions patiently/explained all along the way and checked/corrected things that were not in my original request at no additional charge. Before leaving he emailed a photo of the innards of my antiquated breaker box to Scott for an estimate on replacing it if I were interested and with no pressure to sell, just the facts assciated with the older boxes. He was very tidy and cleaned up his work area returning things to their original location, requiring no followup on my part. And I received a 10% discount by being an Angie's List member. Would use again...very happy!

Servicemen were at my home within four hours of my initial call. The owner even answered my call. The guys asked all the right questions as how to center the lights and were in and out within an hour. They even gave me a discount for using Angie's List. Why can't all contractors be like Cole's?

I called Cole Electric a little after noon to ask for an electrician to com check out a dryer outlet that popped the night before and started to melt. The receptionist asked if I needed it to be paged as an emergency but I said no. She asked for contact details and said I would be hearing back later. The owner was out of the office but another person did get back within a half hour. He said their appointments were full but would be able to fit me in the next day. That seemed perfectly reasonable. Within the next hour though I got another call saying they could squeeze me in if I could be home within 30 minutes. I was able to get home and meet the electrician when he showed up. He looked at the outlet and dryer cord and said the outloet would need to be replaced. The wires had probably gotten loose and sparked and shorted. He said he needed to go run out to get parts and would replace the outlet and cord on the dryer. He had estimated a price of $225 for parts and labor and including the 10% discount from Angie's List. He left and was back within 15 minutes with the new parts. He was able to replace everything with the dryer turned on for testing within another 20 minutes after he returned. I am extremely impressed with the immediate attention I was able to get. I was expecting to wait a few days; Instead they came to fix it within hours of me calling. There was only 1 thing that I would have preferred they did differently. He replaced the outlet cover but because of the short and spark the surround wall was blackened. I would have liked the opportunity to clean that up before he got everything back to normal or for him to wipe it down but this is a minor inconvenience. Cole Electric was able to rectify the problem quickly so I would certainly use them again. I can't speak too much on price as I would normally replace my own outlets but the price seems fair for a service call and swapping out an outlet and replacing a dryer cord.

The work went very well. Mason and Steve showed up early and got to work, and Scott came by and explained the process. Most of the work was done in the garage, but there was still some outside work to be done and it was a nasty day. Started at 7:30am and finished around 3:00pm. It makes for a long day without power but it's worth it. There were a couple of extra things that needed to get done and Mason took care of it. I chose Cole Electric because I have had a few bad experiences with the "All in one services" that do HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical. These guys specialize in electrical work and it passed inspection the first time. That hasn't been the case for the others. And I must say, I did a great job of staying out of their way! Because when you mess up like the "AIO's" did; I will be on you like a "Hobo on a ham sandwich". Now I have a nice, City Inspected, up to code, whole house surge suppression, room to grow power panel, with GFCI in all the wet areas. Next is the whole house generator system but that has to wait until the 40 year old bathrooms are renovated, and the kitchen, etc. Baby steps.

I was thoroughly pleased. I called Scott around 2PM on April 2, that I had a circuit that kept tripping. Within and hour and a half, Steve came out and determined there were major issues with incorrect wiring throughout a room over the garage....mismatched gage wires, improper boxes, basically nothing in accordance with code. Steve fixed the immediate issue (a short) and assessed exactly what needed to be done. The next day, Scott called and he had Steve and Mason come out and rewire the entire area. They did a superb job. I was thorughly pleased and in short Cole Electric exceeded my expectations. I had used them before about 5 years earlier but had forgotten what an outstanding company it is.

Cole Electric did everything I asked for and in a timely manner. Steve showed up early and went right to work. He was very helpful, professional, and answered all of my questions. He used drop cloths and was very careful not to knock any of my personal items over. When I got home from work, I was very happy to see my lights and everything working properly. Steve did a great job and I would highly recommend using Cole Electric if you need any electrical work done. This is why I only hire contractors listed in Angie's List. You're going to get top notch service and products. Thank you Scott Cole and Steve, I will use you again in the future.

Wired and installed a 30 amp. sub-feed panel to shed.Wired and installed 4 inside outlets on 20 amp. circuit with 1 exterior GFCI outlet.Wired and installed 1 interior and 2 exterior lights. The panel inside the shed was a square D 6/12 with main breaker shut off.

If it was possible to give Cole Electric a higher rating than "A" I would do so!! Scott came in and looked over the work, explained the work that needed to be done and gave me a great price!! Best of all he stuck to it! His crew was on time, courteous, unobtrusive, and didn't mind answering my numerous questions during the work. They even worked with another contractor on a seperate job I had running simutaneously that their work would impact. I can not reccomend Cole Electric enough. If you need electrical work done in the area, do yourself a favor and give Scott a call!!

I have used Cole Electric for 20+ years. They always respond by telephone within 20 minutes and schedule to my convenience. I also referred a neighbor to them for an urgent heating issue. I gave Scott Cole's number to my neighbor at 6:45 a.m. and they were at his house at 8:00 a.m. the same day, and they diagnosed and fixed the problem at a far less cost than another electrician the previous day.

Cole Electric stuck to their word. They came in with a bid and did not change it. They had a big crew come in and do all the work. They were on time and provided excellent service. I would recommened them to anybody.

I called Cole Electric out but there was no electrical work to be done. They were punctual and did what was requested. -Refund was issued to me since, I was unclear about the work to be done. Fair business.

Scott Cole, the company owner, is amazing at troubleshooting over the phone and inferring things from pictures. I arrived at the choice to replace the panel, though I hadn't planned to do so, based upon him confirming some research I had already done and what he observed from a photo I emailed to him. When his crew showed up (Mason was the job chief), they were prompt, professional, and very competent. Not only did they complete the job quickly and efficiently, they cleaned up well and minimized the invasiveness of the work they didi while my family was in the house. They also were able to install the new wiring for the dryer circuit in a minimally invasive way that I hadn't thought of doing. They finished up by explaining their work and the capabilities and potential shortcomings of my house's electrical system. They did a great job and I would definitely use them again or call them back if I need any more electrical help.

Mason did our work. He was very professional well mannered and really did what he could to save us money. I would not hesitate to use Cole Electric again. Job well done!

He was very fast and very good. I have no price comparisons as I didn't get other estimates. I was happy to pay the 295.00 for the work to be done so quickly and well. I purposefully waited to put in a review so that I could make sure there were no issues that cropped up afterward. I have another job pending that I will be contacting Cole's for in the near future.

On Friday November 22, 2013 my power began to act up, the lights were flickering and when I would turn certain things on, all of the power would go out in the entire house or it would dim all of the lights. The problem continued into the next day, so I decided to shut the power off. I called Dominion and they sent a truck out on saturday night to check the service cable outside, and they said that we had good voltage going into the house. Finally, on Sunday afternoon I called Cole Electric, and they sent someone out to my house within the hour. The electrician checked the voltage from the service cables and one was reading 120 volts while the other was reading 5 volts, so he told us it is most likely on Dominions end and to call them again and make sure that they actually check. Again, Dominion came out and checked, and said that the voltage to the house was good so the service cable inside of the house must have gone bad. So we made an appointment for the next morning for Cole Electric to come out and replace the service cable, as well as replace the old split panel box. The electricians showed up on time and were very friendly and they explained everything that they were going to do. They began to remove the old panel box and when they opened up the wall underneath of the box, they discovered that the service line had been spliced by the previous electrician (i use that term loosely) and was only being held together with electrical tape, which they informed me is a huge fire hazard. Upon finding this, they were concerned that other hazards may be present, so they asked me if it was alright if they looked in the crawl space and attic to ensure that more of these hazards weren't present. After checking the rest of the house, they found multiple things that were not up to code, such as overloaded circuits and cables that were spliced incorrectly. They completed all of the work in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them to anyone, and I can't thank them enough for ensuring that my home is safe again.

Everything went great, he was very knowledgeable, communicated well, and promptly responded to my request for services. Most impressive was the professionalism of his employees. They were on the job at the planned time, did a first class installation of the wiring and receptacle and left everything clean and neat.
