Work was completed on schedule, at a resonable price. All work was subcontracted. Couple of months later, noticed a leak in a bathroom, called Aapex, requested they investigate the problem. The representative came out, made a slight adjustment and corrected the problem. I was very satisfied with the completed work.

Everything went very well. The roofer was not able to show up on time due to a previous job. I found this out once I called my contact at the company. Besides this slight inconvenience, the roofer let me know when he was 30 minutes away, so that I could do other things throughout the day (instead of just wait), which was very nice. The roofer was very pleasant and very fast. He even took photos of the condition of the collars before and after he fixed them, since I obviously was not able to get on the roof to inspect. The price should have been higher, but the company went with what was originally quoted to me before actually seeing my roof (again, very nice!).

They did a very good job. I'm happy with what they did. Also very nice and personable.

The house is a tudor style 4 unit apartment building with a 4 car detached garage. The building has a covered front porch and a 2nd floor roof balcony that leaked, To further complicate matters, the building is completely tenant-occupied, and we (the owners) live in the Washington, DC area, while the property is 200 miles away in Portsmouth, VA. Ralph came out to do an estimate of replacing the roof on the house and garage. He was punctual and his estimate was a little lower than other estimates we received. We went with his firm because of the reviews on Ungues list, and because he was very accommodating. He called me to notify me when he and his crew wee coming out to the property, and notified the tenants while he was on-site. They finished quickly, but did not install on the balcony. I called him back, and he was able to replace the roofing on the balcony without additional cost, by omitting the new gutters and correcting/ repairing the ones that were already there. I primarily dealt with Ralph, although I did speak to Tony once. I was very impressed with the workmanship, punctuality and competitive pricing, and would definitely hire them again. In fact, we are considering hiring this company for another job that involves a complete renovation, not just roofing.

Aapex consistently takes pride in their work and strives for complete customer satisfaction. They followed up twice to troubleshoot an elusive problem and charged nothing to resolve it.

I used an Angie's List coupon on this project but when they inspected the roof the coupon would not go through because my roof needed more than just an inspection; it needed to be replaced. They refunded me the price of the coupon. The overall inspection was pretty good. My impression of them was also good and the price was pretty decent.

I got a notice from Angie List of getting a quote and special discount. I called and they immediate came within a few days as stated. A date was picked, color of the roofing was ordered. They came and did it all in one day, cleaned up everything and were just great. I love the look and feels so good to know the roof is good.

We had the old roof on our 1800 square foot rancher replaced with architectural style shingles. This included flashing in all the valleys and water/ice seals around the whole perimeter and the chimney. We had new rubber seals around all the vents and other openings in the roof, and new ridge vents installed.

Great job. Very satisfied. Came back and fixed leaky areas.

The overall process was easy. We specified what we wanted and spelled it out in writing so each contractor was offering on the same thing regarding scope of work and materials to be used. We were so pleased with Tony Little's performance and AAPEX, that we hired them to replace all our gutters. They will be here in two days for that job.

My husband and I cannot recommend Aapex Roofing highly enough. Aapex was 1 out of 3 companies interviewed to perform our roofing job. Tony Lyttle, owner, may appear easy-going however his work ethic is solid and he expects the same from his crew. During our interview Tony questioned us about our gutters, which were a huge concern for my husband. Tony gave us relevant information and we built the gutters into the roofing deal. After we agreed to use his company based upon cost we then scheduled with Aapex to perform the work. On the scheduled day Tony and his crew were not only on-time, but as the crew got to work taking off the original roof Tony knocked on the door to review the happenings for the day to ensure we were all on the same page. The crew worked relentlessly, even in the summer heat. The crew stayed on-site throughout lunch after which they continued working until the job was completed. Tony constantly monitored the progress of his crew by walking the circumference of the house throughout the day. At the end of the day Tony ensured his crew cleaned up not only their supplies but his crew used a magnetized wand to ensure that all roofing nails were picked up from the old and new roof and the new gutters.f

Very good job. I did find out that several local roofing companies use the same roofers. They worked quickly and were professional.

Tony Little responded to our request for an estimate on a new roof. The bid he gave us was within $300.00 of other bids. I thought Tony would do a good job and asked if he could match the other bids. Tony impressed me by being on site for most of the time with his crew. The roofing crew did a wonderful job on our roof. Our house was built in 1970. Tony paid attention to the existing architecture and somehow minimized all the little imperfections common in an older house. They installed new decking where needed and only where needed and he even dropped some down in my attic for flooring to make it easier to walk in the attic. Waterproof shielding was put down around our chimney, new flashing installed with particular attention to areas that showed previous water damage or poor drainage. The new ridge vent was installed and an existing thermostatically attic vent was removed and opening decked over. Our rusty vents from the bathroom fans were replaced with new outlets. The Sky Tunnels were installed at the time the roof was installed and they look great and add beautiful natural light to our house. The new roof was a darker color than the old one and all piping vents, flashing and even our chimney cap was repainted to match. Tony was honest and easy to work with. His crew was extremely hard working and precise. We were so impressed with attention to detail and execution of the work that we also contracted Aapex for aluminum wrapping and gutter installation. He was reasonable in pricing, not the lowest, but not the highest. The work was top quality with top quality materials. Our house is not new and every single of wrap was made to measure. The wrap straightened out the appearance of old but good wood trim. Literally every piece of wood was measured and duplicated with wrap. The aluminum wrap fits like a glove with no sloppy gaps to allow water damage to occur. We got a 10 year labor warranty with our roof and lifetime on the shingles. I know that if any problem arises that Aapex will fix it immediately. I will recommend Aapex to anyone who needs a new roof or any of the other services he provided.

We called Tony and Aapex again hoping they could take a look at 2 roofs that were leaking in various areas. One property was residential, the other commercial. I was told by Tony that he would check the problems out. A week to 10 days passed and I had not heard anything. I called the office and spoke with the receptionist (?) and I explained the situation. I also clearly stated that I understood that some companies don't like to do small jobs or their schedules are so booked that the wait time is too long. I also asked that they please tell me this and I would simply find someone else and that I wouldn't waste their time or mine. She assured me that this was not the case. Later that afternoon I spoke with Tony and he offered a very reasonable explanation as to why I had not been called back in a more timely fashion. I was told that indeed an employee went out to the residential and examined the problem. Apparently the person went to the wrong house because our house is a two story not a 1 story. Tony apologized and said he would make every effort to go out that day and check out the house and if not that day the commercial in the next day or 2. It has been over 2 weeks and I have not heard anything. No calls from either Tony or his office staff. I find this business etiquette extremely unprofessional. I feel I've been lied to or my business is unimportant to them. This is not the way to do business with potential customers.

I received 4 estimates. AAPEX provided the best package price, including warranty on labor, for the job. Tony Littles provided me with a comprehensive estimate. Then he explained some options that I could have selected that would have achieved my goal, but reduced the scope of work and expense. While I selected to go with the higher estimate I was happy that I had been given a choice. While I was still reviewing estimates, I had a couple of additional questions. Tony responded to my calls in a timely manner. Once I accepted the estimate from AAPEX the work was scheduled to be completed within 2 weeks. The crew showed up exactly on time the day of the work. As is to be expected, when the old shingles where removed, there were a couple of surprises. Tony informed me immediately and, again, reviewed my options, allowing me to make the decision. I was never pressured into any decision. Tony was here for the entire day, working as hard as his crew. This is an added benefit in that work never had to stop to wait for a call back from the manager. The crew were pleasant and respectful of my property. They cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished and left the property looking better than when they arrived!

We solicited about 5 estimates to both repair our existing roof and replace with a new roof. While Aapex wasn't originally the lowest estimate we received, it was one of the lower estimates. We decided to hire Aapex based on the lower estimate and our comfort with Tony, who took the time to explain many features of roofing systems, shingles, ventilation, etc. He had given us a very thorough estimate and explanation, and was patient in answering our questions. We decided to opt for a roof replacement rather than repair because of the condition of the existing roof. Scheduling the replacement took a bit longer than expected, but this seems to be typical of the roofing industry, and not something limited to Aapex. The job ultimately cost less than estimated, which was a pleasant surprise.

Because it was an estimate only, I can't speak to the actual work. However, the dealings I had with Aapex were very positive and I would not be hesitant to call them again.

Great experience from start to finish. Tony came on a Saturday to do an estimate , arrived on time and explained everything in detail that needed to be done. The job was scheduled and workers arrived and started promptly on the day of the job. Several of my neighbors commented that they worked hard all day to get the job done. I came home from work early afternoon to find more progress than I had expected. The job was completed by 3pm, including all the cleanup. Tony walked with me around the yard to do a final inspection of the cleanup and explain some of the extra work they had done that was not expected (some additional wood damage was found at the transition between a flat rubber roof on the back of the house and the main roof). The extra repairs were done with no additional charge. I was amazed at the cleanup - I still have not seen a single nail or other debris since the job was done. I have flower beds all around my house and not a single bush or flower was damaged. I had several other estimates done by other companies and Tony gave me the best price. A couple others were close, but I chose Aapex because of reviews I had seen on Angie's List. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again for other work (I'm expecting an estimate for some work on my porch).

Overall they did well. I would highly recommend them. They answered all the questions I had. I called back many times to re-check things. They arrived when they said they would arrive. They completed it about the time they said they were going to complete it. The delay was not something of their making. It was something about my siding that was different. I was always able to reach the person that originally did the estimate, even in the process when the roof was put on and afterwards. They were careful about clean-up. I found very few nails laying around the outside of the home. And so far, no leaks! I would hire them again.
