Vienna Appliance

We called Root Electric to replace a fan in the bathroom. They were able to repair the fan, but also told us, in writing, that they would return and replace the fan with no labor charge if needed.

The repairman was very polite but they did not have the needed part. He returned two days later, as scheduled, with a hose that he had purchased at a local hardware store. We were charged for two service calls -$8.00 for parts and $200.00 for labor. I think two service charges are inappropriate.

The temperature of our refrigerator was fluctuating considerably. I called Vienna Applicance, made an appt. The receptionist had me to speak to the repairman, Al, was very courteous. He asked me some questions and told me that since my refrigerator was only 3 years old I should get in touch with the manufacturer and see if they would cover it. I was surprised he said that. He could have just looked at the refrigerator and collected the $65 service fee. I couldn't get through to GE so I made an appointment to have Vienna Appliance come look at it. The morning of the appointment Al called me. He asked me to explain what the problem was. The fridge was running better because we had defrosted it. I told him the temp was close to normal. He told me he really couldn't diagnose the problem if the fridge was running normal. He said to keep an eye on it and call if there were any problems. That was the second time this guy could have come out, diagnosed some big problem and charged me a fortune. Instead he was helpful and honest! I am glad there are still people out there with integrity. I will use Vienna Applicance for ALL my repair needs. I trust them completely and you should too!

Excellent experience. The technician came right on schedule, diagnosed the problem immediately. He would have done the repair that day, but there wasn't one in stock. He came back 2 days later, on Memorial Day, which I really appreciated.

They did a great job. They arrived the day I called to check out the problem. While still in my home, they checked with their office to see when they could return with the part and made the appointment to complete the job 2 days later. On both occasions, the technicians were courteous, on time and reliable.

It went very well. Our service person was knowledgeable, punctual and capable. He replaced the washer motor and cleaned up. Just what you would want in a repair call. The motor is warrantied for 90 days but the repairperson said he would fix it for free for six months if anything went wrong.

The company responded promptly to my phone call, showing up within the scheduled timeframe. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem and corrected the leakage problem. I asked that he check the refrigerator filter (for water and ice) and he provided me options for an improved filtering device. He returned the following workday and installed the new unit. The next day I discovered the new filter unit was leaking. A retuirn visit was scheduled promptly, the unit was changed and all now works fine.

All above took one service call and two visits with new parts. What was remarkable to us was that the work on the freezer and the fridge was performed by another service agency about a year earlier at about twice the cost. These folks knew what they were doing, were professional and made clear explanations about what was going on.

Good, fixed promptly and able to arrive and diagnose quickly from time of initial call.

The serviceman was prompt, professional and had a very good sense of humor!

The serviceman confirmed the spring on the door was stretched beyond repair. He told me it would not be worth repairing the door.

The motor ran continuously but there was no cold or freeze generated. I called on a Saturday and left a voice mail. They returned my call on the following Monday and made an appointment to come the next day. Al and an apprentice came, quickly diagnosed the problem. They had the part(starter device)on their van. They installed the new part and were on their way in 20 minutes.

The thermo couple on my dryer had broken, they came out and diagnosed it, and gave me an estimate and then they fixed it. I really liked them. They had a really nice demeanor and they all seemed like they were jovial and in good moods. They got it done. He was a new guy, he let me know he was in training, but that wasn't a problem because they were all good. My dryer is still working great to this day!

Our freezer was dripping down into the refrigerator compartment, and we'd been having problems with our ice maker - hollow ice cubes, and ice stuck on the fins. It was time to call somebody in. After getting no return call from another Angie's List A-rated company, I called Vienna Appliance. Spoke with someone right away, got an appointment day 2 days out. She promised a call between 8am and 9am on the appointment day to set the appointment time. The call came as promised, and they remembered to call my cell phone, not my home phone as I instructed. I was given a window of between 10 and 2 - they showed up around 11. The technicians (there were 2 guys, one seemed to be an apprentice) looked at the problem, called to check on parts prices, and was able to tell me in advance how much the repairs would be. Although my fridge is over 10 years old, I decided it would be worth it to have the repairs done as opposed to buying a new unit. The clogged defrost drain line meant that there was a lot of ice to be chipped away and melted with a hair dryer. They asked for a couple of old towels and contained the mess easily. They obviously knew what they were doing and were done without complications. Absolutely give Vienna Appliance a call! Everyone was friendly and professional every step of the way, and the price for my repair seemed very reasonable. A+

Very well. A short story, as you can tell. Will use them in the future for all appliance repair.

Utilized Angie's list for the repair company. Phone receptionist very pleasant, guaranteed someone would be out to look at my washer on Monday morning (Washer died Friday afternoon). Call from Al, as promised between 8-9am. Window of 11a-3p given. Al showed up at 2:15. Took Five minutes to discover my 6 year old washer was truly gone. The computer panel dead. Al said he could replace it, but it would be cheaper to purchase a new washer. Not happy with this news at all, but appreciate his honesty.

Called Vienna Appliance on Monday spoke with a terrific young lady. She promised a call between 8 and 9 on Tuesday setting up the actual appointment time. Call came just as promised; time given was between 10 and 2 repairman arrived well within time frame. In the house, diagnosed problem, repaired problem, out the door all in less than a half hour! Thank heavens for Angie's List it is so much cheaper than renting a billboard to tell the world about the utterly fantastic Vienna Appliance! :-)

They came out right away. I figured I would have to wait a week, but they came out in about two hours because they had an opening. They came out and replaced a part to get the cycling back on track. They were easy people to have around.

My washer had died that morning. They came out before 10:00 am!! No extra rush fees. It was -- as I feared -- a dead motor. (That happened before while it was under warranty.) Al, the repairman gave me the pros and cons for repair or replace. He would have made a lot more money if he would have talked me into a repair. Instead, I'll get a new washer, and he'll have a customer for life.

The washing machine in our rental property needed repair for it had a leak. I had dealt before with Vienna Appliance over the phone and the technician spent a lot of time with me on the phone trying to help me with little appliance problems which I has having. I followed his advice and everything worked just fine, so when the tenants in our rental house said that the washer was leaking, I decided to use the same company again. They were great on the phone when I requested an appointment, on the day of the repair I was given a 4-hr window, and when I asked for the tech to call me 15-minutes before arriving at the house, he did so. When I got to the house the tech was already there waiting, he had a trainer with him. I apologized for being a few minutes late, he said it was okay. He looked at the washer and identified the problem in 5 minutes, gave me a quote on what it would cost to repair it. I then said I needed to discuss it with my husband, so I went upstairs to make a phone call, but for some unknown reason I had difficulty placing the call from my cell phone. When I finally placed the call, I was in the midst of discussing the situation with my husband when the tech came upstairs and without waiting for me to finish my phone conversation, interrupted me and asked what had I decided. He clearly saw that I was still on the phone! I told him I was discussing the matter with my husband and would give him an answer ASAP. When I got off the phone and asked him whether he thought we should repair or replace the machine, he said it was up to me, but that he had to get going for he had waited for me and had other repairs to do. I was happy with his work, he seemed very professional and told me had many years of experienced, and it seemed that way, but I wish he had more experience on being polite to his customers. I felt rushed in making a decision and he was borderline rude.

I thought they were excellent. The response was good and they arrived when they said they would. The problem was diagnosed right away. I am really happy with their work.

Everything was fine. I was very pleased. They had an A on Angie's List and I wasn't disappointed. They gave me an estimate, which was reasonable because it was a major repair. We were glad it was done properly because we had hired someone else to do the job, but they didn't do it right.

This company is everything others have said. Everyone I dealt with was remarkably pleasant, especially Al. He called for pricing information and was very helpful about the wisdom of repair vs replacement. He even gave some input about what to look for in a new appliance (dials as opposed to electronics). I recommend that everyone consider using this company.

He came out in the time frame that he told me about and gave me an option on whether to repair it or not. Instead of charging me a trip charge because he had to come back out, he just added the other appliance to the bill. He was a very refreshing young man and he took the time to protect my hardwood floors.
