The person showed up early and got to work right away. He replaced the hinges on the fence gate and re-attached the fence latch. After he walked around the fence to make sure all the boards were sufficiently secured. He also gave me a couple of suggestions for dealing with a tree that was growing through the fence.

Honestly, I feel like I got the best fence in Arlington, at a great price. The cedar picket fencing is better framed and braced than any I've seen from any another company. The custom gates are fantastic, particularly where they had to be constructed with unusual dimensions due to our walkways. The board-on-board fencing is custom designed to gradually increase in height at certain intervals for a good aesthetic look. For everything, he used better-looking, larger posts for the gates and corners, all without up-charging me. And he made sure to show me all his materials, from the cedar (great quality), latches (better than the typical off-the-rack latch used by alot of companies), and nails (definitely stainless, unlike the rusted-out versions I've seen on alot of fences). Tim was an absolute pro. The work itself took a little longer than I expected, but I really believe that's only because Tim worked hard to make sure the job went above my original expectations. For example, the custom cedar fencing ended up being much more complicated than expected due to some gradations in the ground, subterrannean root systems, underlying concrete from the driveway/sidewalk, the placement of my shed, etc. But whenever something needed my attention, he explained what he was doing, made spot-on recommendations, and really helped create an amazing fence. Bottom line, he cares about his product and he cares that his customers are satisfied. Even with the problems our job site gave him, he never cut any corners, and he turned out a top-notch fence. Also, I think it helped that he was on the job, at the site, either doing or supervising every bit of the work. I would absolutely recommend Tim to anyone needing fence work. We have other property lines that we didn't have fenced at this time, but when we do fence them, we absolutely will go back to Tim.

The job went absolutely fantastically. I cannot say enough about Tim Price's professionalism, expertise and conscientiousness. He put up a great fence for us so quickly -- 1.5 days in weather that was snow and sleet -- and it looked so good that the neighbors came over afterward to ask me about who it was and how impressed they were as well. Tim made good judgement calls along the way, adapting the fence in one area where the landscape was downhill vertically and uneven horizontally, certainly challenging to say the least, and Tim cut the fence in such a way as to make it look real good and pleasing. Another dash of creativity he came up with was a Verizon underground access hole servicing the neighborhood he had to run the fence over. Instead of a gate, which other folks who were bidding on the project suggested, Tim came up with a section of fence that could be slid out of way when access was needed, and replaced otherwise, to look like a standard section of fence. He also varied the length of gates -- on one side of the house putting up an extra-reinforced larger gate through which I could move gardening and various other equipment into the backyard, whileon the other side of the house he installed a standard walk-thru gate. Tim showed up right on time and completed the job ahead of time, especially given the trying weather conditions. Furthermore, and I don't know how long this will last given how good he is, and how his business must be growing, Tim worked alongside his crew. I am very pleased and will confidently recommend Tim Price and Powers Custom Fencing to anyone.

I forwarded three photos of damaged pickets to Powers Custom Fencing and expecting only three pickets to be replaced. When I got home from work, I noticed additional pickets were replaced and this was not expected. The rear fence gate was beautifully adjusted and significantly adjusted. I have not been able to open this gate without struggle for at least ten years. It now opens like the first day it was installed. I was very pleased with the service of this company and will definitely use this company for any future needs fence repairs. The service was performed within one week of my purchase of the package. Exceptional service and communication!

I've given this contractor several chances to redeem himself as a respectable businessman. He failed several times over. Tim, the owner, came to my house for a consultation and offered me a reasonable price for a fence. I actually decided on another fencing contractor that came in lower than him, but at the time he seemed fairly competitive. On Sunday, during our consultation, Tim insisted that he could get the fence done on Monday in just one day. I asked to pay by credit for the deposit and he said that he couldn't start for several days b/c he couldn't access those funds immediately. He pushed me to pay by check if I wanted to get the job done right away. I was initially hesitant and went against my gut reaction but paid him anyway. Low and behold on Monday I get a text at 7:08am stating: "Chris, since I just put the check in yesterday, it is going to take another day to clear. We are here ready to go, but the check hasn't cleared. Our days is free tomorrow, so we will be there tomorrow this time. -Tim" I replied: "Don't deposit that check. If you're not going to start today then I'm going to pay by credit." He never replied that morning so I called him several times to no avail. I left message saying that if I didn't hear from him by noon that day then I'm going to cancel the job. Still no call. So feeling as though I was a total sucker for paying him by check, I canceled it. If Tim explained himself later then maybe I'd give him a 4th chance. Well I finally got a response at roughly 4:15pm, about 9 hours after our original exchange. This text conversation devolved into a back and forth tirade from both sides. He called me a nut job and I called him a lousy businessman. You can't really recover after that. Tim might mean well but he's a terrible businessman. Just in over his head. He needs more assistance. But his lack of responsiveness and never ending series of excuses is tired and old. He needs to be more honest with his clients, namely me. Also, he wanted to charge me a cancellation fee even though he cancelled on me! Ridiculous...

I purchased an AL Big Deal. The scope of work went beyond what was allowed in the big deal and the price charged for the additional work was acceptable but no longer a great deal overall (OK, but not great). The job was not complicated, but the service provider seemed overwhelmed by all the work they had from the big deal and communicated very slowly and poorly. When the work was finally scheduled, the company's representative wanted to be paid before the work was done and when we declined, kept insisting on being paid the same day until we informed him that I needed to come home from work and see what was done before we made final payment. I found this particularly annoying given that we had paid for the big deal, essentially a substantial deposit, many months before. Ultimately this relatively small project (a few hours on site) was done well from what we can see - it looks good, feels solid, etc but the poor communication and slow completion of the work turned a simple fence repair job into a hassle. Suggestions: If you purchase a Big Deal, it is more difficult to control the delivery process and, if the Big Deal is popular, it could be delayed. Judging the price for additional services not covered by the Big Deal is an additional challenge. In our case, the work was not urgent, but the delays still eventually became an annoyance. This was under the control of the provider, who communicated poorly, and ultimately I had to threaten to cancel the job before getting clarity and then completion of the work.

We had three fence builders come out to give us estimates. Tim Price, the owner of Powers Custom Fence, was by far the most professional and informative. The message I received from the other bidders was: "Yeah, I can build your fence." Which was fine. But the message from Tim @ Powers was "We will build your fence and it's going to be the best d*** fence in the neighborhood, bar none, and here's why." He also gave us more options as far as materials and other construction particulars that the other builders didn't even bring up. The Powers estimate was a bit higher than the others, but we chose better materials (which the others didn't even offer), and we just got a better feeling from Tim. I still feel like we got a great deal. Tim scheduled utility companies to come out and mark the property. Once he confirmed they had done that, he scheduled construction for a couple days later. He and a coworker showed up in the afternoon and made remarkably quick progress. They had already had a long day doing other work and getting our boards milled (very nicely, I might add), but they stuck with it beyond sunset and got very nearly finished before it was time to close up shop for the day. Tim came back the next morning to install the remaining few horizontal boards and build us a nice picture-frame style gate to match the rest of the fence. Tim was communicative throughout construction, explaining why they were doing what they were doing, why our fence is stronger than others, etc, and he left me confident that we really do have the best doggone fence around here. It's a thing of beauty, and the cedar smells nice, too.

Powers Custom Fencing LLC did not perform any services. Spoke to owner Tim once. He informed me to email photos of work needed. Never heard from him.

Excellent experience. Tim was professional, friendly, and a breeze to work with. I found his communications to be responsive, and his work to be high quality. I look forward to recommending him to my friends and neighbors.

Tim was extremely responsive - he would even e-mail me from his phone. He also showed up exactly on time for the consultation. There were some unfortunate complications due to the massive amount of concrete that somebody else used previously. This wasn't Tim's fault, of course. The work performed appears to be well done and although I didn't get any extras like others, I would not hesitate for a moment in using him again.

I like the work they did. He was on time. He came in and knew exactly what he was going to do. He went ahead and did it in a good period of time. I was very happy to have it done. I have nothing to complain about. I thought they did a good job. Everything was done within an hour. My fence looks better and I am hopeful that it will last longer.

As we ended up paying extra due to additional fencing materials unexpectantly needed Power Custom Fencing through in some freebies -- even removed rust and refixed a post in another area of the yard. Great company!

I bought the 'Big Deal'. I scheduled the appointment. The work was done over two sessions. The fence looks great.

There were some miscommunictions but in the end the job was done correctly and the owner was very responsive to my communications and proactively communicated on his end - top notch! Would definitely recommend and use again for fence jobs!

Hurricane Sandy damaged two fences in our back yard - chain link and wooden. Mr. Price responded quickly to my request for an estimate and then promptly fit me into his schedule. (He was sympathetic to our dog not having his back yard available.) He came the day that he said he would and did a great job repairing both types of fences. He did the work for his estimated price and used good quality material. I highly recommend this company.

He did a great job. The first time, we used a $99 coupon from Angie’s List for which he did the small gate with a little fence and the next time he came, it was $650. We liked the work he did. He was very kind. We have two rain barrels and he fixed it for us. It was not something that he had to do but he was very kind about doing it when we asked him to. It was a good price. One time he couldn't show up but he called us and told us, so that was okay.

The provider contacted me right away, but after I replied to his e-mail, it took him quite a while to respond. He said he had availability on a Friday, so we scheduled a time for him to come out then. I waited at home for at least two hours after we agreed to meet, and he didn't call or even e-mail me to reschedule.

He did a great job repairing the fence at a great price(coupon).. I also got him to put up a new fence that I have wanted for years at a great price. He was punctual and stayed in touch.

Tim came on time and was able to replace the horizontal slats that needed replacing by custom sawing the planks on location. Very conscientious and did a great job.

Tim Price was very communicative from start to finish. First, I emailed Tim photos of our fence so he could prepare what he would need for the job. He also stopped by to view the job site for himself prior to starting. I will definitley use his services again and recommend him to others.

Initial work (adjustment, gate repair, lattice, etc.) per Angie's List promo coupon. We discussed replacing badly damaged posts, etc., requiring 2nd visit. Quickly handled quote, payment and scheduling. 100% satisfied with value for work and materials.

Called Tim to help fix my fence door and general tune up and used the coupon for $99. Left a message and he returned the call within the hour. Set up an appt for the following week and he showed up even though the weather was not ideal. I had to leave for awhile and when I returned he was pretty much finished. Fixed both doors and put everything back in place. He did a fantastic job and I really enjoyed working with him. Highly recommend!

Tim gave us an estimate. When he came for the job, which was to replace some damaged and rotting pickets and replace a gate. There was a minor misunderstanding as to what was to be done at first , but we changed the arrangement amicably, and he did a good job.

He was responsive in arranging an in-person estimate. His work was excellent.

Timothy stopped by to check on what he needed to repair my fence. He showed up on New Years Eve with all materials for the job. The day was very cold but he finished the job with a great attitude. What a wonderful work ethic this kid had. Well, worth the money. I plan on calling him back to do more repairs on my deck.
