Booze Plumbing

I use Booze Plumbing often since they did the original installation in my home in 1068. They quickly found the leak under my sink and repaired it, then replaced the insides of my toilet. I would recommend and use them again if I required plumbing repair. They were courteous and neat in their work.

They did a good job, and tenant's happy!

My experience was fine, it went well. They did a good job. I think my realtor gave me their name and number. So the realtor is using them and that was a good thing.

They arrived on-time and found the trouble after a while of looking in ceiling. Had to order part and have them return. Went well on the return visit and they were on time and out. I would use them again. The tech was very professional and new his job well.

Very well. A very professional company that I have used before. On time and work well. Clean up well and respect your house. The reason I rated price a B is that I have been quite satisfied with them in the past; and did not price other plumbers. They gave me an estimate of labor cost that was pretty close. The only surprise was the added parts they had to use to actually hook up the two toilets and the vanity. A customer should ask what the miscellaneous parts might cost for the work when getting an estimate.

We were very happy with their service. They came out the same day, the man was very nice and fixed the problem quickly. He looked at our bathtub faucet which doesn't seal right, he said he could fix it, but it would only be tempory. Since we only use that bathroom to bath our baby right now he said we could wait until the shower needed to be use. It was nice to have an honest answer. He was very knowlegable and gave us some tips on keeping the drain from clogging again. We will defiantly be calling them when we decide to do the bathtub or for any other plumbing issue.

Plumber came out because we had a leak in ceiling. He opened up ceiling and turned on upstairs faucets and told us we hadnanroof issue. We replaced the roof and then still had a leak, it was raining in our kitchen. They gave us the wrong diagnosis and would not refund us or come back out to look again

I have used Booze many times in the past and have been pleased with their professionalism, so I called them to schedule the installation of a new water heater. (I knew that was I reaching the end of the road and wanted to be proactive.) Booze scheduled my appointment within a matter of days, arrived when they said they would, and were fast, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. I also had them put new hoses on my washing machine.

I was very pleased with the service.

I have a drain in my furnace room that drains the condensate from the ac unit. It backed up. I thought it was a dead mouse caught in there or something else. Booze figured out that my sump pump was no longer working. They replaced it and the minute they turned it on it started pumping water that had accumulated around our house, for i don't know how long. It would have been a disaster in the next rain fall so I'm thankful they figured out the problem. While they were here I looked up the manufacturing date of my water heater and found it to be 16 years old. I decided to replace it while they were here. The job was completed and we're very happy....with the service and their professionalism. Sump pump and install - $675, hot water heater and install - $1350.00.

We've used Booze Plumbing for more than 12 years -- long before becoming members of Angie's List. They answered an emergency call for us many years ago and we've been loyal to them (and they've been loyal to us) ever since. They've handled all kinds of repairs for us, and we've been very happy every time. They are very professional, and don't waste time (or money). During the course of the work performed for this visit, the plumber worked very hard to work with some existing pipe fittings (infrastructure) that did not truly need to be replaced or repaired. This saved time, the enormous hassle of not having to remove items from the closet positioned on the other side of the wall so that the plumber could cut through this wall (leading to the tub plumbing fixtures), and saved us money (probably $300 or more).

Estimator came to house and told me he could not change the water heater. Said job was too much for him. Water heater was 80 gallon on third floor of townhouse. Called another company and they did the job same day.

-I called Booze and then said they could come in 2 days since this wasn't an emergency. We arranged an estimated time of arrival. We received a phone call about 30 minutes before they were to arrive - withing the time window agreed. They were very professional - checked the leaking valve and showed me it was just the packing nut - fixed that in seconds. They then checked the main pressure valve from 2 locations in the house and it was running very high and needed to be replaced. When we discussed this since its just in front of the main house shut off I decided to replace the main house shut off vale from a screw type valve to a lever handle valve - they said they could do that and it would be cheaper if I wanted it done to do it then since they were working on the same section of pipe anyway. They completed the work in under and hour - cleaned up and were gone

We were very happy with Booze. They are exceptionally knowledgeable. When they first came out, to assess the situation, they realized that they had to do substantial excavation to increase the size of the crock for the sump pump. They came back the next week to do the excavation, install the pump, and set up the backup that ran off of the copper pipe. The work was professinally done and they spent time going over what we needed to do to maintain the pump. We were very happy with the work.

The plumber arrived early at 1140am, although my nanny called me at 1147am to let me know he was there. I arrived home around 1210pm He poked around the leak area, checked some toilets, and tubs, said there wasn't really an obvious source for the leak and said we should try to troubleshoot some potential leak sources to troubleshoot to see if we could reproduce the leak. He said he would leave the ticket open for 30 days so I wouldn't have to pay the initial service call fee again. Overall he was polite and professional. The major gripe that I have is that when he wrote up the ticket he charged me for an hour ($144) when he couldn't have been there for a few minutes more than the half hour mark, he went to his truck for a few minutes to go write up the ticket. If I had realized a few minutes (literally) of additional chit chat would have cost me another $50+ then I would have sent him on his way. Considering no intervention was done and he came before the actual time window (I know this is not always a bad thing) the fair thing to do would have been to charge a 1/2 hour and be done with it. I wouldn't say it was intentional unscrupulous behavior but it's not a good way to treat a customer, and on that basis I wouldn't recommend this vendor to a friend or colleague

Excellent, professional plumber saved us time. Convenient timely service.

The plumber arrived exactly on time -- 8am to our house in the middle of Tysons Corner rush hour -- no small feat. Two of the three items I called about were not easy or straightforward to fix, but Booze patiently worked to find the source of the problem. The first, banging in an upstairs shower, is usually caused by a worn washer, but we have washer-less faucets. The source turned out to be a washer in the valve that turns the bath to a shower. The second required tightening a faucet in an area that is very difficult to access. Booze's prices were reasonable, at $175 for ~2 hours' work plus supplies. The plumber also showed me how to prevent the faucet from loosening again and how to fix the low flow in the bath faucet, should it happen again. I would recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing services, and I will use them again when we need a plumber.

Plumber came ahead of schedule, which was fine. Took about an hour, but the price for what he did felt high. Otherwise, professional and nice. So far, so good.
