"Cristobal Palencia did an excellent job of organizing the work and keeping me informed on any issues that might change during the approximately one week total that it took to do the job. The cost was very competitive with other companies I had quote me for the work done and the progress was quite fast and well done. the work crew showed up on a timely basis and did the work well and quickly, the only issue were some very minor communication issues, but nothing of consequence, they did a very good job and covered the roof for protection and to make clean up easier and it looked great when they were done. I am a big DIY person, so I hire very few professionals, but this job was too big and up on the roof for me to do, and Palencia Masonry did a spectacular job in a very timely manner and at a very reasonable cost, I would definitely use them for masonry work in the future. Now, we will have to see how the job weathers over time, but I great confidence that it was done well and will last. The only issue was a minor problem with the existing chimney flashing which accidentally got pulled back during the work, but it won't be hard to fix, and I just mention it for reference, so don't let that stop you from calling Cristobal for your project, he and his crew did a really great job."

"We worked with Taylor on a job to create new beds in the front yard along with Cherry trees. We also torn up the front foundation plantings and planted new shrubs and plants. Unfortunately, about 80% of the shrubs that Taylor planted died within 2-3 months. We cared for these as best we could. We did not get any care instructions from Taylor after the work was completed. Not all of the soft touch hollies died which reinforces, at least in my mind, that this was not simply a failure to care for these plants adequately. Whatever the reason, we contacted Taylor and let him know of the death of the majority of the shrubs. He replied that he cannot offer any remediation or warrantee given that he does not know whether the plants will live or not. This is not in line with written warrantees that exist at other nurseries in Richmond including Strange's and Great Big Greenhouse which we have used in the past. I would strongly recommend going with a service that stands behind their work and can offer warrantees which seems to be the industry standard. We are now out quite a bit of money not to mention time it will take to replace these ourselves."
