Shiner was professional, thorough and completely reliable. They came when promised, gave me a thorough checking out of my affected areas, discussed the problems with my gutters and provided a thorough written estimate. They also came when promised, and left my yard so clean and neat that I had to look closely to make sure they had been there! I've used Shiner for my roofing needs for 15 years and I have never been disappointed.

It was a very excellent crew. They worked fast and cleaned up every day. We were very pleased. We've used them a few times in the past, and this is the biggest job they've done for us, by about 4x larger. The work was very, very good.

It was extremely well done. Delivered the materials in advance on the day promised and arrived for work early on the day promised. they were extremely neat, careful, and cleaned up really well. No damage to any of my plants or scrubs around the perimeter of my house. Nothing at all left on the ground around the house after they finished.

We had roof damage from rain and snow. The estimate was accurate and the price fair and reasonable. The final price was the same as the estimate. They met the schedule agreed upon. Showed up on time and worked quickly. Old good work and cleaned up the site. I would use them again.

Notified shiner of problems with previously installed gutter protection (deteriorating) rep set up visit promptly, explained alternatives and advantages of leaf crew arrived on expected date promptly, completed work in one day, cleaned up sites.

It went as well as I expected. From the salesman to the office people, installers everyone was competent and professional. Absolutely, no problems anywhere. All debris was cleaned up and the job was taken care of in one days time.

Both jobs went extremely well. I was especially impressed by the responsiveness and attention to detail of the sales rep Ryan Turner. I was undergoing a major renovation and part of the work had to be coordinated with the siding job. Ryan took every one of my phone calls and was very helpful explaining options. When it came time to do the roof I didn't hesitate to use them. They are not the cheapest but the reliability, professionalism and quality of the workmanship is well worth it.

Shiner roofing made improvements to home insulation bringing it up to the current code. The work was outstanding. All employees involved were very professional, and responsive to my needs. Work was completed timely and the price was very competitive with other bids. All in all a world class company.

From the salesman to the crew, everyone acted in a professional manner. The date was set in advance, the crew showed up on time, took the roof apart, applied the new shingles and cleaned up afterwards. Job well done. All done in one day. And the price was as about what I expected it to be, possibly a little less.

The on-site estimate was honest and up front -- they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, just quoted the price for a job of this type. The price was a little higher than I expected, but I will continue to use them based on their professionalism and follow through to fix the problem on the scheduled day for the price quoted. None of the run around or excuses I've encountered with other contractors.

We called Shiner. The Shiner Roofing technician performed an exterior and interior (attic and bedroom) inspection, explained what needed to be repaired (remove and replace the ridge vents), gave us a reasonable quote and quickly scheduled the work. The work was completed on time and for the amount quoted. After the installation of the new ridge vents, and despite additional side way blowing storms we have had no further problems. Our roof repairs were completed by a professional who worked outside during one of the coldest days this past winter.

The experience was excellent from beginning to end. The contractor kept to their appointment times in giving the estimate and then on completing the work. The work was done relatively quickly, efficiently, and neatly. They restored in the inside of my attic back to the condition it was in before they worked. The exterior was all cleaned up. And then they provided pictures of the completed repair as well as allowing me to climb the ladder to see for myself. All around excellent.

We had Shiner replace a roof in August 2015 and gave them an A-plus review as a great company. So I decided to immediately hired them again to replace some of our trim that was rotting. We decided to go with the PVC so that we wouldn't have to worry about it rotting. We also didn't want to worry about painting it ever again. Supposedly, this product can be painted, but doesn't have to if you want to keep it white. We plan to keep it white. To tell you the truth, I don't know if the company sold us the wrong product or if they just didn't install it according to manufacturer instructions. They quickly did the work, but within a few months, all of the the nails rusted, and a joint between 2 boards had separated. They used a lot of nails so it looks like our trim has the measles. When I reported this, they told me that it was covered under warranty. They sent the original salesman out to inspect. He said it looked unsightly and he would put in to have it fixed. They scheduled to fix it, but had to cancel because of an impending blizzard. After that, I have not been able to get them to come and repair. They had it in their records that they had fixed it, but then came out again to inspect. This second inspector told me he would talk with the owner, because it needed to be fixed. When I told him I was about to have my husband take off some old rusty plant hangers that they workers had taken off the old trim and put back on the new trim (without asking me), he told me to do nothing as it would be taken care of. Then Shiner tried to contact the initial foreman who no longer works for them to come from Boston (450 miles) to redo the work. After a few weeks they were not able reach him. I told them my warranty is not with a foreman but with Shiner and I have run out of patience. They told me the work would be done yesterday -- it was sunny, but no work crew showed up, no phone call, no email. Here's my speculations. Maybe this is a roofing company and they don't know how to do siding and trim. Perhaps they sold me the wrong product. Our next door neighbors used a wrap without any nails -- theirs looks great. When we asked our original salesman about what the difference was he told us there was really no difference in result, just price. I wish we had gone with the wrap. I have tried to look at manufacturer instructions on line. I do know that they did not place nails within 2 inches of the joining of 2 boards and that has caused the separation issue. I still don't know what to think about the rusty nails. If Shiner had told us this would be a problem we would have paid the difference and gotten the wrap. Instead they had told us there would be know difference in appearance. Shiner has a great reputation and we had a good experience on a previous job, so I am still hopeful they will make it right. They have a very polite office worker Hilary. I'm really confused as to why they have messed our job up so much. I've waited nearly 5 months since I first reported the rusty nails.

Ryan came out twice to discuss options and give quotas. He was punctual and polite as were all of the office staff when I called. Ryan went beyond expectations when he brought another person to find a leak that no other contractor had been able to locate. Joe was my installer for both projects. He was very efficient, polite and did a great job.

We have a house that was built in 1963. The windows that were there were the original windows with storm windows installed. We needed the windows replaced and got quotes from 3 companies. We needed 18 windows replaced and then 1 big picture window, total of 19. We had Bill come out and do an estimate and he was awesome. He let us know about the company, the product they sell (Sunrise Windows) and their overall commitment to their customers. I read more about Sunrise windows and they are some of the best you can buy for our price range. I had a little bit of an issue with the company when it came to communication about when we would get our windows installed. They said it would be the end the week of April 16th and when I called to verify they said no, that would not work. I was a little upset because I moved work and daycare around for my kids. Well they finally were able to install them the 29th of April. Joe came out with his two other workers and did an awesome, fast, and detailed job. They did all 19 in 1 day and really put a lot of effort into making sure everything was great. Joe explained everything to me and why they do it (spray foam, caulking, and how to operate the window). They cleaned up everything that fell from the old windows and did an awesome job on the caulking. I am very anal about the work that I do and the work that is done on my home, they did an awesome job. Best part is they did it quickly also. I have already recommended Shiner for windows to other people in my neighborhood and my coworkers.. They did an amazing job. Very happy I went with them.
