Regal Maid Service

We have used Regal Maid services for a few months now, based on the rating and reports we read on Angie's list, and have been very disappointed with the quality of their work. On the very first cleaning, the "deep" cleaning, I thought the job wasn't thorough enough. When I called Joann she told me they are only human and they cannot do a perfect job, but that they will take care of it the next time, which they did not. I found their work to be sloppy at best, and their standards of 'clean house' to be very low. Some things they always do: make the beds, vacuum and wash the floor, if that is all you are looking for in a cleaning, this is definitely the comapny for you. Anything else is hit or miss. They never got the door frames, even if there were obvious hand prints, and even after I had mentioned it a few times to Joaane, and she promised me it would be taken care of. The glass table showed marks after they left. The couch had not been wiped down, and there were often cub webs in places they just finished cleaning. Even the floor had stricks after they were gone, because they would wash it against the grain - something that a professional cleaning service should know not to do. On one occasion my husband came home right after they left and asked if the cleaning service was still due to come. They did such a bad job that time, that it was hard to detect they did anything at all. Their focus, it seemed to me, was to get in and out as fast as possible. Many time they would 'dedicate' less than two hours to my three story house. I wouldn't mind it if the quality of cleaning was good, but since it wasn't, it seemed to me like a rushed cleaning. The type of cleaning I may do if I have guests due in 1 hour and I'm completely unprepared. The last straw was last week; Joanne called to reschedule our appointment for a different day, which we did. After over an hour of waiting for them, I called the office, and was told they were on their way and will come in the next 30 minutes. After another hour that they didn't show up, I called to say I couldn't wait any longer. We rescheduled again for that afternoon. They came in for an hour and a half, and did a very sloppy job, once again. Joanne was always nice on the phone and very responsive, but unfortunately, her crew, and she sent several of them over the few months, did not perform to my expectations. I do not recommend this company if you have high expectations for the quality and thoroughness of the job.

We switched to Regal Maid Service in January, and I'm so pleased with Joanne and the team! They always do a thorough, careful job of cleaning, and communication has been great. Many thanks, and A+ all around.

The owner, Joanne, is very friendly. She is very open to suggestions or specific requests for how we would like to be cleaned. She even changed our grout that she thought would be a better fit for us. We are very happy with the service. They charge $75 per 2 floors.

The crew was professional and did a decent job - not extremely thorough (a couple window & ceiling corners still had cobwebs), but a good basic cleaning nonetheless. Overall, I believe that the cleaning work was a a decent value, and that was the primary factor in my overall grade. On the downside, scheduling and punctuality were not positives. We scheduled a weekend appointment at least a week in advance, but we were contacted the day before to see if changing the appointment to Friday was a possibility, since the weekend crew had a scheduling issue. Though less convenient, my husband was able to rearrange his work schedule to accommodate the change. We were told to expect a call from Regal about a half hour prior to the appointment, to let us know they were on the way. Unfortunately, we received no call and the crew did not arrive on time. A half hour after the appointment time, my husband contacted Joanne, who initially did not know the crew's status. Joanne was polite and helpful, providing occasional updates, but the crew didn't arrive until 2 hours after the scheduled time. Finally, the price on the receipt was a bit higher than the price I recall being quoted on the phone. I can't be sure where the miscommunication happened, but I'd recommend getting a written estimate just in case. We agreed to split the difference -- either way, the price was still pretty competitive. Overall, I'd give the experience a B+/C-. The cleaning work was adequate, but I feel that Regal let us down by being very tardy and for not being more proactive about letting us know the crew was running late.

Excellent! They called the day before to set the time for the cleaning, worked around my daughter's naptime for loud work, and even showed up 10 minutes early the morning of the work. The women were very professional and did a GREAT job - we couldn't be happier. We are going to use them for once-every-3-weeks cleaning from now on. UPDATE: I can say now, a year later, that Regal Maids is great. They have been flexible when we have had to move the day of the week they come (even at the last minute by voicemail overnight), and the women who come are courteous and very good at what they do. The call the day before to confirm is very helpful for my scheduling purposes and to allow me a chance to change something if I have to without remembering to call. My ratings are still all A's.

I was referred to Joanne and Regal Maids by another service provider I use at my home and I have not been disappointed. Not only is Joanne a delight to work with, the ladies in her employ are the top of the line! I used another large well known cleaning company before I moved and gave Regal a try, but I never had the satisfaction with the condition of the house like I have with Joanne and her ladies. I have used her services both as biweekly and monthly and both are outstanding. I am using her next week for the move in cleaning on an old farm house I am moving to and I am sure that they will make it sparkle like new! If there is any question on who to use for your cleaning needs, look no more, Joanne and Regal Maids are the only company to use. She is flexible with scheduling and always emails to confirm the appointments. The way Joanne deals with me is like I was an old friend, and that is a welcome feeling in this impersonal world we live in.

Since I have a subscription to Angie's List, I provided my son with a list of recommended house cleaning services. He chose Regal. Here is a summary of his experience: Joanne was very responsive and always available when I needed to talk to her. I engaged her company to do a deep cleaning of both my townhouse and my condo during my move from one to the other. They were very flexible in their schedule and got the work done on time. They did a very thorough and professional job in both places, including hard-to-reach spots. They left both residences in a show-quality state.

I contacted Regal Maids via their website and received a call from Joanne to setup the appointment, who was a pleasure to work with as well as listen to (loved her accent). The crew that was sent did a very thorough job, I thought it was excellent. The price was fantastic, and I will definitely hire them again.

They were great. They were punctual and personable. The owner was here and did the work as well. They just take a little bit more pride in what they do. I would use them again in the future.

We have been using Regal Maid Service since last fall (2010). Joanne (the owner) is always professional and friendly, and even sends a reminder before each scheduled cleaning, which I find VERY helpful. Whenever I have a specific request she is responsive and efficient. We generally have the same crew each time, and we are very satisfied with their work. Coming home to a clean house makes such a difference in our hectic lives. Our regular crew is very friendly and professional.

The work was shoddy. Much of the area to be clean was not or not cleaned well. They took much longer to clean same area than prior services. They parked their small vehicle behind and to the right of my car in the driveway, did not tell me they had done so when I told them I was leaving, thus when left house had no way of seeing their vehicle behind and too rear right of my vehcile, and thus backed into it pulling out of my own driveway. Not only did they not offer to pay for my damage, they told their insurance company it was my fault and thus want me to pay for their damages, let alone the fact they still wanted me to pay for the cleaning ( or lack thereof). They are poor at their job, way overpriced, and lack ethics and honesty. They do very poor job cleaning, my vehicle is damaged due to their neglience, and they want me to pay for theirs and mine!

Things have gone very well so far. Joanne, the owner, will perform the initial client meeting. She is very friendly and professional, with a great attitude. There is a two person crew who handles the cleaning of our home. Joanne always calls the day prior to reconfirm that they will be coming and at what time. I've made a couple of suggestions as to things the crew could spend a little extra time on or that I would prefer to have done differently - Joanne is always receptive and the crew has always made the changes. So I have zero complaints so far. Joanne is great and the performance of the cleaning crew is very good!

Owner was very responsive and pleasant. I was very impressed with the attention to detail and thoroughness given to all rooms. Mudroom and hallway were also given thorough cleaning. A lot of time spent cleaning appliances in kitchen that really needed the attention. Two woman team was very pleasant and stayed focused on cleaning job. They also dealt very well with 4 resident dogs. Very happy with resulting condition of house. First cleaning is billed by how many hours took to clean...estimate was on target. Appreciate flexibility of methods of payment, especially my choice of having company charge my credit card after each cleaning (they keep my card info on file). I am happy to recommend this company and was pleased they service my area, which is a ways out in the country. Two other companies I contacted did not service my area. Thank you for exceeding my expectations.

They all did a fantastic job. The maids and window cleaners were punctual, professional and thorough, and I appreciated how organized Joanne was in getting them to come and in calling me back to set up the next cleaning. She is very friendly and warm, and I really believe the cleaning went a long way to selling our house in only 3 days!

Aside from the first service date, which was missed because the cleaning crew couldn't find the house, everything was great. Now that they can find my home, they do a terrific job. I would recommend Regal Maids.

This is the second time we have used their services and are just as delighted as the first time. I have already recommended their services to a co-worker. The team is very professional and detailed oriented. Our home actually sparkles!

We love them and they are great. They come twice a month and we pay per visit. They do a good job and they show up on time when they are supposed to. They have been flexible if we have had to change and they have been good about rescheduling. They don't do windows.

The owner, Joanne, came to my home and gave me an estimate. She sent a 2-person team, and they were delightful. They suggested alternate methods of cleaning than what I do myself, which made sense to me. I will employ them every two weeks, and asked for the same team. I am very happy with this service. My wood floors look like new.

They did a really good job and I decided to go with them monthly. I've used them twice.

It is ad hoc. They come twice a week but it is not a long term agreement or anything like that. They do basic general cleaning. The service has been satisfactory. I would not call it wonderful but it is okay. There were different little things that I was not happy with. They charge $120 per visit. They are very responsive. If anything is not satisfactory, they are more than willing to fix it.

We?ve been here for about a year, and our stuff has come piecemeal from 3 or 4 different locations because we are retired military. The house is half unpacked and it is a complete disaster. I was entertaining guests for the Christmas holidays and I wanted them to do only a few rooms. I wanted them to clean a dining room, a big foyer, a living room and a half-bath on the main level. I just wanted the floor work done in the kitchen because I still had stuff everywhere on the counter. I wanted them to do the hallway upstairs and just the bathroom in my bedroom, vacuum my daughter?s room and clean her bathroom. My overall experience wasn?t great. She was very nice and kind when we started talking initially. She told me that the woman she was going to send would have probably two people with her and that they could speak English very well. The people that came didn?t speak good English, and that was a problem. They were okay punctuality-wise - I don?t remember them being late. They would smile and do anything that I would ask them to do but the quality of work was poor. They charged at $70 an hour, and I think it took them about 4 hours. The two other people who came were very nice but I had a sense that they didn?t know exactly what I was talking about. I didn?t like some of the stuff that they did. They didn?t clean the stove although they had promised to do that. They didn?t clean the bottom of the dining room chairs. I could write my name on the dust in the living room. After spending about $300, I had to go back and dust the place; I was not happy. I thought that the price was too much. I told her that it would be an investment for the future because there were lots of other rooms that I would have wanted them to work on as the months went by. I figured that she would try to get the work done well but she didn?t. I wanted to repeat business with them but they kind of dropped the ball big time. The follow up was terrible. I was the one who called her after the work was done to check if she was going to follow up on the work or not. She told me that the workers were probably overwhelmed. I had told her earlier that I would need someone to help me move stuff before her people came. The one positive thing that she did was to hook me up with a very nice man to do the job, and he was wonderful. I had hired him to move stuff so that it would be easy for them to get their job done. The rooms that they were going to do were going to be emptied except for furniture. I didn?t understand what they were overwhelmed about. She said that she would call after the holidays to set things right - I?ve not heard from her again. I would shop around for someone else the next time. I won?t hire them again.

It was a wonderful experience and I liked them. They did a thorough cleaning as it had been along time since we used a cleaning service. They worked more than they would normally do. I am very satisfied with the work they did. They did more than we expected them to do. They put paper around the toilet seats and it was a nice touch. The woman in charge came to my house first to discuss things with me and she followed up very well by sending & answering my email.

I like the owner very much and she comes out personally. She is personable, friendly, and understanding. I?ve been quite satisfied with everything and I think the price is quite fair.

They are on time to do the service's asked of them. The quality of their work is good. I will continue to use them in the future. They are professional while they work.
