Requested written estimate for roof repair or replacement but did not receive the estimate. The estimator (whose name was Bennett) was very friendly and helpful. I do remember that his request was that he present the estimate in person, but that just wasn't a good option for us at the time, we were far too busy. We requested a written estimate in the mail or dropped off at the house, as some other companies had done, but for some reason that did not happen. They did eventually follow up by phone but by then we had already signed a contract with another company. Last fall happened to have been an extremely busy roofing season, so I'm sure a lot of people missed estimates.

I would recommend them. They were prompt, professional, and neat.

Greg Eutz was the salesmen. He was very friendly and helpful. The office staff was also very friendly.

It was very good experience. I have paid cheaper and got bad service. His prices are a little high but you get great work. They are excellent.

My experience with this company was great. When providing me an estimate, they actually avoided charging me for repairs that I mistakenly thought I needed but didn't in reality. They gave a fair price and did not take advantage of the fact that I knew very little about roofing. The foreman, Ernesto, was extremely friendly and explained everything to me in very simple terms. Additionally, this company has a very solid reputation in the area, so I felt very comfortable using them. I even felt comfortable enough to grant the workers access to the interior of my home while I was away at work. The work was completed in less than a day and pictures were even sent to me, which is nice because I can't easily see the roof from the ground around our building.

Awful. The worker assigned to the job stopped coming after repeated calls to schedule a time for him to be there. I also had to keep reminding him of the work that he had been hired to perform.

I did not use the company for my window replacement needs, so I'm unable to offer an opinion on the complete process.

I would recommend Northern Va Roofing to anyone. From the time that Rob came out for our estimate to the finish everything went like clockwork. They arrived on time and got right to work. The job of the roof was completed in one day and the gutters was completed the next day. Everyone was very helpful and keep me informed of what was going on. We now had a beautiful roof which I love! Overall, I was extremely pleased from beginning to end. After I received the estimate and decided that NVR would do the job, I wanted to go out and look at some roofing jobs that they had completed before making my final roofing color choice. I was emailed a list of homes that I could check out which made my color choice so much easier. Then I was contacted by the company Asst. General Manager, Danielle Livingston, who was with me every step of the way. She gave me an approximate date for the work to begin and as soon as I had firmed up my choice and made the deposit. Then I was given a firm date for the work to begin which was within the time frame promised. Danielle called me each time there was a need for communication; to confirm delivery of the materials, to confirm that the workmen would be there the following day, to confirm that the job was completed in a timely manner and to provide support in case I had any questions or problems. I think their communication on every level was superb and I appreciated this very professional level of service. This was my first experience with this company and I would most definitely use them again and recommend them to all my friends.

They did a good job, and the roof is still good 8 years later.

Northern Virginia Roofing was the contractor that we selected to replace our roof due to hail damage. Northern Virginia Roofing was highly recommended to us by a neighbor. We were very pleased with Northern Virginia Roofing. The crew was very professional and did an excellent job of cleaning up the yard. The men were particularly meticulous in removing nails and tacks from the lawn which we appreciated since we have a dog. Derly Middleton gets special mention from us for her superb customer services. Two of our neighbors were so impressed with Northern Virginia Roofing that they also used them to replace their roofs due to hail damage.

I am trying to get to fix problems with the roof that they installed about three or four years ago. It is not very well. They installed the skylight and within months the seal of the skylight started to pull out. I also had a leak in the roof with water streaking up.

Referred to me by a friend, they did what they promised. I would use them again, unless the work area they repaired needs the exact same work after this winter. I am satisfied for now.

They were professional, responsive and quick.

An estimate was provided by the company but I could not get the company to return phone calls so that the work could be scheduled. Nor did NVR ever call me. I ultimately used an Angie's List company that did a great job.

Called in and was able to schedule a service relatively quickly given that other contractors I had called would not be able to schedule me in for another couple of weeks. Adam and his assistant came out to diagnose the leaking roof issue. They accessed the attic, but I thought it was odd that they did not bring a ladder but instead Adam had to boost his assistant up into the crawl space. They were able to diagnose the problem and offered to fix the roof then and there. Adam was patient with my questions and assured me they had the same type of shingles. I had them go ahead and fix the roof. However, I had an appointment that I had to leave soon thereafter. Adam promised that regardless of whether they finished the work before or after I left, they would provide me with pictures of the work done. After work was completed, it looked to me that the shingles were a different color than the ones currently on the roof. I also did not receive the pictures. I called Adam and left him a message about both issues. He called me back and left me a message that the new shingles were the same type but couldn't match the currently 6 year old shingles on the roof which have been worn by the weather. He also told me he would send the pictures. To date, I still have not received any pictures even after having called him back. I have to assumed the work was done alright since it has been a month already with much rain but there has been no new leak in the repaired area.

They were okay. We were dealing with an insurance company, so they wanted a certain amount of paper work and information from the company, but they didn't contact our insurance company. They came out and gave us the estimate quickly though. We ended up not going with them. We asked them to contact the insurance company, but they didn't. The insurance company wouldn't approve them to do the work. They were very pleasant. Also they seemed to have done a lot of work around our area. They just never got back to us. They seemed lie they probably would have done a good job, but they didn't pursue it. If you have a regular job, then it should be fine, but if your dealing with an insurance company, then they might not work out. They said they don't itemize the estimate, which the insurance company wanted. They didn't seem too anxious for the work.

The siding on the back of our row home was damaged in a severe wind storm. We had Northern Va Roofing come out to do an estimate. They came out very quickly and took a long time to make sure they were thorough in their estimate. I was hopeful, as we had them come out a few years ago to make repairs after another storm. That is the end of the positive comments I can make. I called a week later to ask about our estimate. I was told I would be receiving a phone call that day with an update. I heard nothing. The next day I called back and was told the same thing. Again I heard nothing. I waited until the end of the week, when it had now been close to two weeks since they came out to look at the damage. I was told the person who came out to do the estimate had not completed the necessary paperwork, so the person on the phone could not do anything. My reply was if you want my business, you will call the man until you get an answer for me. I never heard back. Now it has been over two weeks since we had someone come out to look at our damage, and I have not heard anything back from the company. I will happily take my money to a company that wants it. Obviously Northern Va Roofing doesn't.

They couldn't replace two custom windows. We really had quite a few problems with them. One thing that they did very well was they worked with the home owner's association. The windows were of different design than what we originally had. They had to give an application to the home owner's association for this change. They did that but there was lot of delay. They said that it would take a day or so for them to complete the work, but it took few weeks for them to finish all the windows. They were sloppy on the job and we weren't happy with their services. I think they were very expensive. Their customer service representative was very nice but the sales person wasn't good. I would not use them and would never recommend them to anyone. They have tried to do their best to solve the problem we had.

They were excellent. They were very professional. They were on time. They did everything they said. They actually did above and beyond what they said they were going to do. Fixing the siding wasn't part of the agreement. They took care of it while they were out there. They were extremely neat and professional. I am the envy of the neighborhood. The company is going to be getting lots of business because of that. I went with the high end architectural shingles. It was very nice.

Their price was what I expected and I wasn't surprised. The work has held up fine. They were on time and certainly professional. I had a good experience with them.

They had a good price and were really responsive. They could do it very quickly after the quote. Nobody came close to their quote. They incorporated our rain barrels. They were very cooperative. The gutters look good. They were neat while they did the work, didn't break anything, and cleaned up after they were done. The prices are fair, they were efficient, timely, and prompt. It seems like a very professional outfit.

The person who came from Northern Virginia Roofing Co was not that experienced and knowledgeable. I did not use them for this project.

On the Friday prior to the Monday start of our job all of the materials were scheduled to be delivered. Having discussed our concerns regarding our landscaping and driveway access with Paul, he made it a point to be personally present for the delivery of the materials. He called me after the delivery to tell me that all went well w/no damage to our landscaping nor obstruction to our driveway, garage, etc. On the day of our job the NV crew arrived in force at about 07:00. Having discussed with John, Paul and Rob in great detail prior to the job day our concerns regarding avoiding damage to our picture windows, landscaping, paver walkway, landscape lighting, HVAC units and generator, Paul immediately began work constructing tarp tents for landscape and HVAC protection, covering the attic furnace, placing plywood for protection of the picture window, generator, garage doors and paver walkway. Due to a shoulder injury which I sustained, Paul and the crew even helped move around our potted plants and other items which I could not. After these protective measures were in place, the crew began work. The work was just dazzling in both pace and quality. The crew was very polite, professional and incredibly hard-working. Paul was present for the entire two day job. John came by as did Rob Livingston (VP Sales). Paul, the staff and crew were very receptive to my Type A+ self watching the job very, very closely and addressing my questions throughout it. The two day installation went magnificently. The quality of the job was just stunning. My wife and I - as well as the neighbors - were extremely impressed. Barely a plant stem was broken and the clean-up was extremely detailed and thorough - truly incredible given the scope of the job. Being that our neighborhood and general area were hit so severely with hail, we have had the opportunity to compare NV's work with that of several other roofers. There is just NO COMPARISON. NV had a larger, faster, and generally harder working and safer crew and took far greater efforts to protect our property than was evident with the other roofers. From start to finish, NV totally EXCEEDED my VERY HIGH expectations. They are one of - if not THE - BEST contractors with whom I've ever done business. As I've said, I'm a very details oriented customer with very high expectations, especially for major jobs - not the easiest customer to be sure. That said, I offer my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION to NV. I am absolutely confident that they will totally exceed the expectations of even the most demanding customer - such as myself.
