I worked with Shannon Reed on the details of the maintenance contract; Shannon is extremely professional and provides prompt replies to my emails. The maintenance contract was received in a timely manner and is very thorough. I feel the price is very reasonable. I'm confident that I will receive the same quality of work that I did when the landscaping work was done. I will write a separate review once maintenance work is done.

This is the phase 2 of the project we did with Mand M in the summer. This project worked in the same way, the design was completed before phase one so we worked together to get the phase 2 part done before the holiday season since we like to cook outside in the fall. Everything went pretty well, there was slight delay on getting some stone in that matched the first project but it was worth the wait! They worked every day they could (weather permitting), answered my questions and concerns, and even made suggestions that I never thought of to improve the front planting of the house. Again very happy with the results and the final product, I think if you are in the market for a landscape firm that actually cares then you would be wise to call Mand M.

I started looking to have work done in the spring, after a few meeting with various other companies and didn’t really click. I was at a friend’s home and saw a sign in the neighbor’s yard and saw them doing something similar that I wanted done. Emailed them and got a reply quickly, met with them and had a proposal with a great graphic showing what the yard would look like (the only company to do this). After some adjustments we finally got the right plan and the right budget, they actually worked with me to help meet my budget and I felt they gave me the most value for what I had to spend. The work started about 3-4 weeks after signing up, they worked every day they could with all the rain we had and when I had a question they were quick to reply via email, text or call. When problem came up Mand M explained what was happening and what needed to happen. When I had questions they answered and never made me feel stupid for asking a question or questioning what I saw. Over all it was great, took a little longer to complete then we projected but most home improvement projects do. They even clean up and mulched some areas outside the work area so everything looked great and we are enjoying the space tremendously! I am so pleased with the service and the work, that I have already started talking with them about more work , specifically the work removed to help hit my budget and it is starting next week! I have also asked for and they are starting maintenance for my home. Whenever anyone asks about a referral I will be happy to share Mand M’s name and number. It’s nice to have someone that does the work and cares about you and the final outcome. It is a big relief knowing I have someone I trust who will be taking care of my yard for a long time! Take my advice - like someone else on here said, I will never again have to waste time getting quotes and doing interviews with any other landscaping companies and you shouldn't either! I will just call Mand M Professional Landscaping!

I received quotes from 3 different landscaping companies for this project; all three were chosen from Angie’s List. The Mand M quote was in the middle. I chose Mand M because of the following: Shannon Reed. I cannot say enough good things about Shannon; he is a great spokesperson for the company. He is very personable and extremely professional. He listened to what I said regarding my likes and dislikes, and provided a very unique and interesting design. Of the three landscaping company representatives that I spoke with, Shannon was the ONLY ONE who contacted me following my receipt of the proposal to discuss the contents. When I had concerns regarding the size of the beds, he came to my house and showed me where the edges would be so that I could better visualize the design. Shannon was always available via email, and he consistently addressed my concerns. He made me feel as though my job, although small, was just as important to him as any other job he was working at the time. The design. I gave each of the representatives from the three landscaping companies the same information regarding my likes and dislikes, what I wanted done, etc. Mand M was the only company to provide me with a color design AND pictures of the plants, etc. that were being suggested. Again, very professional, and it made it much easier for me to visualize the final product, especially since I was not familiar with some of the suggested plants. Mand M also had the best solution for ensuring that the water from the downspout was draining well away from my house. On the scheduled day of installation, the team came out and worked very hard to remove circa 1972 holly bushes, regrade, install the new plantings and install the sod. The team was very professional. Shannon stopped by to make sure everything was going well and to provide me advice on watering. To further illustrate Shannon’s character, I made a last minute request to help out a neighbor who was putting her house on the market and needed some mulching done. Since there was a truck with mulch for my yard, I asked Shannon if I could pay to have the installers put some mulch in her front and back yard. Shannon did not hesitate to help out, and not only did the team do a fabulous job installing the mulch, they also weeded the beds at my neighbor's house. I couldn’t be happier with my choice of Mand M Landscaping. I feel I received great value for the price that I paid. The front yard looks wonderful, it drains well when it rains, and I have received numerous complements. Since the completion of the job, I have emailed Shannon to ask questions regarding watering, and again, he always responds in a timely manner. I am so pleased with the service I have received that I have asked Shannon for a quote for maintenance for both my yard and my parent's yard. When I am ready to redo the back yard of my townhouse, I will not waste time getting quotes from any other landscaping company. I will just call Shannon Reed of Mand M Professional Landscaping.

As I was searching for the right landscaping company to design and build a flagstone walkway and accent walls, I came across Mand M Professional Landscaping. This is truly a professional company as the name suggests and It is a pleasure to deal with Shannon Reed, The manager at Mand M, who, throughout the process was on top of everything. He always delivered whatever he promised along with extra touches and unique ideas to enhance the design and look of my flagstone walkway, accent walls, lighting system and planting. The masonry and landscaping teams are hardworking professionals. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for 100% plus satisfaction with amazing results.

Mand M was one of four companies from which we received estimates on our project. We chose them due to Shannon Reed's responsiveness. Shannon Reed was great to work with right from the start and certainly lived up to the and quot;professionaland quot; in the name of the company. He was always prompt for meetings and in touch if he was late. My husband designed the patio and Mand M was able to bring our vision to life. Shannon made some suggestions which enhanced our design; he even was able to utilize computer graphics to help visualize the concepts.. The crew was always professional and managed to set up and do the work with minimal disturbance to our walk and front yard. They even fixed some old loose bricks in our walk at no extra charge. The crew did a fantastic job laying the irregular flagstone. They took their time to ensure very tight seams between the stones and were able to work with the slope of the ground. There was a bit of a delay on the circular patio due to an error in the materials order, but Shannon kept us apprised and the job was completed as soon as possible. The weather was difficult (there was a lot of rain this summer) but they managed to work around it without falling too far behind schedule. We are thrilled with our new patio and will certainly call Mand M Professional Landscaping for any of our future landscaping needs.

Mand M recently did a follow-up service at no charge. They applied a new layer of mulch, replaced some of the plants that were struggling and added additional, new plantings to make the landscape pop with color. Their customer service far exceeds our expectations. Since they did our project in February, they periodically check-in with us to see how the plantings are doing and to see if we have any questions or concerns. If we have any problems, they make It right.

From start to finish it was a great experience. The staff is always responsive via phone, text and email which I find very important!! Will definitely use them again for future outdoor projects!!

After strong recommendations from our neighbors, we pursued Mand M Landscaping (specifically, Shannon Reed) to generate a design and quote for the installation of a patio, accent wall and landscaping. Unlike other landscaping companies, the detailed design provided to us by Mand M was truly amazing. Through computer graphics, Mand M is readily able to show the homeowner exactly what the end product will look like. Through several meetings with Shannon, he was able to provide us with a digital and quot;pictureand quot; of what our backyard would look like after he had completed the work. The ability to show this design as a and quot;photoand quot; puts Mand M far above the competitors we talked to. Before starting the project, we knew EXACTLY what we were getting. From a price perspective, Mand M was able to complete the work at a great price, while retaining the quality we desired. They started the project on time, when promised. First, their hardscaping crew arrived. They worked long hours (never stopping unless my wife forced them to eat), and were true artisans. All the material had to be moved manually to the rear of our home by wheel barrel. They worked from day break to sunset to complete the job. They knew exactly what they were doing, laying the patio foundation per the manufacturer's specifications. We have found NO issues with the patio to-date. All cuts were clean and no mistakes can be found. The accent wall was built with natural stone. Again, they built it on a concrete footer, and all joints/cuts were perfect. Masonry is a lost art, and the gentlemen that work for Mand M really know their craft. The wall was capped with slate; again, all cuts were perfect. After three LONG days, the hardscaping portion was completed. We were EXTREMELY pleased with the results. Next, the landscaping crew showed up. Again, they were a team of hard working men, who knew their business. Large stepping stones were first precisely set; requiring lots of hard work and heavy lifting. Next the trees were planted; large Crepe Myrtles were set in place. Finally, the beds were prepared and a multitude of perennials were planted. After three more days the job was done. The job site was left perfectly clean. I HIGHLY recommend Mand M for your landscaping needs. The company only hires hard working, dedicated, professionals who understand their crafts. We will definitely contact Mand M in the future for additional work.

Not only are the prices steep, they don't answer the phone!

We began working with Shannon at Mand M in the fall of 2011 to get a patio estimate. they were very fast, in preparing the estimate and design. By and away it was teh most impressive of the 5 quotes that we received. I feel the key was they listened to exactly what my wife and i were thinking and brought it all together in a fantastic offer. It was certainly not the cheapest option, but they listened, they checked in, and they followed up. Based on how much we liked the plan we requested an estimate to replace the front landscaping as well. Again, circumstances dictated we wait for another year and a half before we had everything in place (as this was a new home to us we ended up doing a lot of other mandatory repairs as oppose to just the outside. Through out the time, Shannon kept checking in with us with just the right amount of contact, not too much to become annoying, and not totally forgetting us. Based on the experience we are now looking for them to extend the beds around the side of the home and have them take on a bi-annual maintenance. Just a fantastic job was done throughout the process.

The project went well. We reworked the plans several times and Shannon listened and responded accordingly. When the job was installed the site was left neat and clean. Nothing was broken.iu

Wonderful!! A friend recommended M and M Landscaping. From the first phone call to paying the last payment, the process went wonderful. Whenever I had a question I would get a phone call or email back almost immediately. We sat down and chatted about some of our ideas and goals for the project and M and M, Shannon Reed, came back with a comprehensive plan complete with pictures and a color plan to give us a good idea of what the finished yard would look like. We made some changes, had questions and Shannon Reed was patient throughout the process. We LOVE our trees and yard and look forward to doing more worth with M and M in the future.

My wife and I are very pleased with the project that Shannon and the team at Mand M Professional Landscaping completed for us. The team arrived as scheduled every day on the week long project and then did a nice job of cleaning up the property before leaving. The project manager was on site each day to check on the progress of the team and to answer any questions that we had. Shannon stopped by each night after the crew had to left to check on how the project was progressing as well. Overall, we we are very pleased with the work performed on our property and would highly recommend Mand M Professional Landscaping!

Horribly run company. We had them to our home for a landscaping estimate and they never returned to deliver a plan or pricing.

Shannon Reed and Tom Parks, project manager, worked closely with us and stayed in touch throughout. Both of them worked to be sure we were pleased with the work product and made adjustments we requested. The crew worked in some of the worst heat the city has had in years, yet the professional stoneworkers put in long days to get the job done. They were true craftsmen,creating a wall and steps which is the envy of our neighbors. We had many people stop by to comment on the excellent job.We would highly recommend Shannon and Tom who answered all of our questions and went out of their way to be sure we were satisfied.We plan to do do additional work in the future and will use Mand M.

We needed to finish a 100ft retaining wall. The wall needed to be capped; filled, and then planted. Everything took about 2 weeks. they stayed on schedule and everything went well.

We found Mand M by seeing the great job they did on another project just up the road from us in Mclean. I think the pictures speak volumes for what these guys can do. Their design team is awesome as is Shannon and Tom. Their stone masons are absolutely unbelievable in what they can do.The communication from Shannon up front to Tom's implementation/project management was almost flawless. The couple problems that arose during the construction period were handled impeccably right away. Shannon was there anytime we needed him and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. I don't think Shannon ever sleeps as he would respond to my messages a couple minutes after I sent them even at 1am in the morning and on weekends. He was also never afraid to show up at our house to check in and work with us in person.We had a tight budget to keep costs down given that we live in a townhouse community so we did not over-improve and Shannon found great ways to value engineer the project to get the same effect but work within our budget. Every single person that has seen our backyard (and it has been a lot) has been absolutely floored over the transformation. Our small backyard looks like a resort. *We're in a end-unit townhouse surrounded by trees. Grass wouldn't grow, bushes wouldn't grow...even the weeds stayed away (for the most part). Our yard was a disaster and our HOA told us to do something about it. I emailed Mand M Landscaping and two other companies through their individual websites. Mand M was the only company to respond. I met with Shannon Reed, one of Mand M's landscape designers and sales representatives, the day after my initial email. I was impressed by the speed, efficiency, and adaptability that they exhibited in that first week. Getting a plan drawn up and a contract signed was quick and efficient, and most importantly to us, AFFORDABLE (compared to the second opinion we had obtained). In short, Mand M, through Shannon, made an excellent first impression. *Two days prior to project start: I insist Mand M show me what they're planting so I can approve the plants. I only hated one so I approved most, and offered suggestions on what I would like in my yard. This was not a problem for Mand M. They were very accommodating regarding my requests and plant suggestions. *Day One: To fix our yard, Mand M had to pull out the patches of grass, weeds, roots, rocks, old boards, etc that covered the area to be landscaped. Once that was done, they dug a shallow trench along the property line and buried huge 6x6s to outline the landscaped area and mark the property line. I was very dubious about that part, I thought it would look cheesy, but my husband insisted (stay off our lawn random people!!!). It turned out fine. They also designed a rock wall in the front and placed mulch. Also, the flagstone path was roughly placed so we could get an idea of where everything would be when the project was finished. *After the workers left on Day One, I decided I wanted to sod the two feet of property that belonged to our neighbors. Shockingly, our neighbors agreed to allow us to rip out the weeds/clover field they had so lovingly grown and replace it with sod. I emailed Shannon that night, he emailed back immediately and said it wouldn't be a problem. He (i.e. Mand M) was very adaptable. *Day Two: First thing in the morning, the landscaping team rip out my neighbors' weeds and starts laying sod. As I'm standing in the yard watching the work, I decide the front portion looks a little bare and determine, if possible, I want to put some plants in there. Super Shannon says "no problem...I've got extra plants!" and immediately adjusts the plan to suit me. (Which is good since I'm the customer.) He's no dummy, that Shannon! :) Anyway, he places the plants and asks the landscaping team to plant them once I approve the placement. Planting took most of the day. We had 80 plants placed in our new landscaping front and side, as well as bags and bags of mulch. Additionally, an existing bush which was interfering with the new flagstone pathway was trimmed without being asked or labor being charged (of course, Mand M requested permission to trim it). *In the end, the entire project took two full days. The team was at my house early both days and worked throughout the day. They worked hard the entire time (except for their breaks). I was impressed by that because it was really, really hot outside (seasonal records have been broken this year) and it looked like back-breaking work (my yard had lots of tree roots, rocks, and clay soil to get through). The only mishap that occurred was when a flagstone was broken by one of the team. The flagstone has since been replaced. *Today I noticed that three of the plants looked sick. I emailed Shannon and within a few hours he was at my house checking the plants. Mand M has said they will replace the one that has died (the other two had replanting shock). *I love my new yard and enjoy looking at it. We have received many, many compliments from our neighbors on our yard. Mand M is a great company and very accommodating.

I placed a call for an estimate and received an email that evening from the landscape developer, Shannon Reed. Throughout the project, I appreciated his use of texting and emails to keep me up to date on the progress. I was really working within a budget, and Shannon was able to work with me without sacrificing good quality. We had an erosion issue in our backyard and knew we needed some type of retaining wall. Shannon explained how we could actually extend our back yard space by putting one in. We are very pleased with the drainage put in, with the shrubs plants and the work done. In addition, I realized how nice my back yard would look compared to my front yard of weeds! So we decided to go the whole nine yards and have the entire yard graded and sodded. When I also mentioned a parking problem we had, Shannon came up within affordable and nice solution for that as well by placing a small gravel lot along the roadside. I was given great instructions on watering, all of the work was done in a timely manner, and the crew was polite. Typically we like to do our own yard work, so we are doing the upkeep like mowing and weeding, but we did decide to take on a yearly contract with Mand M to handle the fertilization, seeding, etc of our new lawn. While on vacation, they even came to mow my yard just the one time I requested. It has been easy to work with Angie in the office and Shannon as well.

From the beginning Shannon Reed was open upfront and honest. Always very responsive, and when he didn't know the answer he promptly found it out. He genuinely cared about the project and made sure it was handled appropriately by the staff.

.Chris at Mand M was professional, cost-conscious, and efficient. His design was great, and the transformation is amazing. He was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole job.

Person we started working with left the company abrubtly. We then got a different person who wanted to do something entirely different than the first person. He stopped by the job site two-three times but it was the foreman of the work crew who carried the load and worked well with us. Workers were all great. Cleaned up after themselves each day. Hard-working. But saw very little of the management during the process. They promised to leave a conduit under the walkway for future electrical or irrigation. I asked if was being done and they said yes. Never happened. The pavers and stonework were done beautifully. Couldn't be more happy with that part of the project. Excellent work and looks great. So was the design itself of the walkway and garden. Interestingly, no one from management called after the work was done to see if we were satisfied. No survey or phone call. Some of the plants did not survive over the winter. When we tried to call the following spring, the project manager would not return our calls. When we called to talk with management it was very difficult to get through to someone. Finally were told that project manager had left, so were assigned another. Took months to get someone out to look at the plants. They finally replaced some of them; most of the replacements have not survived either. All in all, a mixed bag. Customer service and follow up is definitely lacking. Workmanship on the pavers and stonework was excellent. Crew was hard working. But at end of the day, even though we get compliments on our landscaping, I would not return to this company.

Excellent - Trent and his crews are responsive, very professional, and always deliver. Any questions/concerns we had were addressed quickly - usually within an hour.
