Buyer Beware!! We worked with M&M Landscaping to install 5 large hornbeam trees. We originally wanted arborvitaes but the owner insisted these trees were a better option. In hindsight he just wanted to sell more expensive trees. The trees cost $1500 each. Within 2 years the trees started to die. We watered them using our irrigation system so we were very confused as to why this was happening. We had a professional arborist take a look and he said when the trees were planted the roots were not handled properly so they could anchor themselves into the ground. He gently shook the trunk of each tree and they were all ready to fall. Since they weren't installed properly the roots essentially continued to coil around the base and eventually choked the tree to death. I contacted the owner of M&M Landscaping Trent and he promised to come over to see the trees. Then after two weeks of not showing up he asked for pictures. I sent them immediately and he went completely silent. He won't return any of my messages. Horrible company and horrible customer service. They just want your money. Do yourself a favor and stay away!!

We had chronic problems with flooding during heavy rain with our concrete slab driveway. We contacted M&M after seeing their driveway work at other homes in our neighborhood. Trent came out and after assessing the driveway area, recommended that we regrade behind the driveway to allow proper drainage. Also provided estimate and timeframe. Long story short...we hired M&M to replace our 50+ y/o concrete slab driveway with more attractive pavers, regrade the yard behind the driveway, and re-landscape the surrounding area. On time / on budget...very satisfied with the work and the work crew. Would hire them again for future work.

Perfect. The teams arrived on time and worked hard every day. Everyone at the company—from the people doing the work in my yard, the receptionist/scheduler to the owner of the company were polite, professional and went the extra mile to make sure the project a went smoothly and that I was satisfied.

My backyard was an uninhabitable wasteland. Seriously, it was a mess. I wanted to find a single company that could turn our space into a dream backyard. And I found it in M&M. Trent has an incredible vision and his various crews were thorough, responsive and hardworking. I could not be more happy with the results. My family loves our beautiful deck, sports court, flag stone patio, stone steps and landscaped yard. If you need an outdoor project (big or small) look no further than M&M.

Nothing but praise for Trent and his team. Neighbors have all complimented the work with one neighbor copying the new walkway and another planning to do so.

The process was spectacular. Trent and his teams were punctual, reliable, professional artisans. Trent was personally responsive and eager to ensure we were 100% satisfied which we absolutely were.

After about two years, the mortar in the fire pit began to crack and separate and eventually led to huge cracks all around. It took an enormous amount of effort on my part to have them return to attempt to repair the areas. Finally they filled in the cracks with more mortar and it looked better... However, after about 2 more years, it happened again, only worse The fire pit appeared to be coming apart. AGAIN it was quite the challenge getting them to come back out. (numerous emails, phone calls etc. (I have been told by an expert that you should not use cinderblock as a foundation for a fire pit because it is so porous and will expand and contract with extreme temperatures. The fire pit should have been built with more solid stones). They finally returned in June of 2014 to replace the fire pit. At that point, it was a crumbling mess... (see two photos below - in the photos, the fire pit is wet) Now here I am again three years later with the pit falling apart AGAIN and I know from experience, this will get much worse) Trent the owner reuses to even acknowledge my emails and calls, though his receptionist is very pleasant. I firmly believe their model for customer service is "Ignore them, and hope they go away". I have over a year left on my warranty and I can't seem to get a product that lasts more than three years.

M&M was a no-show for two appointments. The only reason that I gave them a second chance was the glowing reviews on Angie's list. I called multiple times to see if they were coming, No one returned my calls.

Trent was very responsive and was prompt in responding back to our request. He came over at the appointed time and gave us an estimate. The guys who worked on site were absolutely fabulous - professional, and hard workers. Very pleased with the end result!

The original installation was August of 2015, and now in June of 2016 I have suffered ill health (and a visit to the hospital) due to the stress this has added to my life and I still have two dead trees. If those two trees had not died I might be singing a much happier tune about this firm, but they have disregarded me and my requests for professional customer relations for nearly a year. While the plan was quite good and the installers were quite neat and careful, I will never do business with them again and would never recommend this company to anyone!

We were not high priority on this company's list. There were several weeks this past year when we did not receive mowing service even after I called. When rain prevented service on our regular day, they did not provide service on a subsequent day, when weather allowed service. And we were supposed to have our lawn fertilized by early November. They finally got to us in January. January. The ground was frozen. I had called in November and December. They promised to get to us soon, but stated removing leaves was their priority. (Not mine. I didn't pay extra for this service). Again it didn't happen until January.

The technician who performed the work did a fine job. The Service Rep however was not responsive to my calls after the contract was signed. In speaking to the staff at the main number, I was confident that my service rep was never in the office--like he was a subcontractor for them. I could only get him if I called a personal number. The work was supposed to include reseating/cementing 3 additional posts. Because with the few repairs they did, the fence looked okay; they never cemented in the additional posts, yet I was charged for the full price. I had made it very clear that I needed to be called in advance of any work in my yard. The first visit for the technician to look at the job, I was given notice. After many weeks of no call saying when they were coming to actually do the work, I looked outside and realized they had already been there....no notice, and no follow-up about the job. My husband wanted me to call and ask for a price reduction since the contracted job was not done, but frankly, it was so hard to reach the service rep that I opted for a bad review vs wasting my time trying to reach him.

NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR LAWN MAINTENANCE. Talked with Chris first who was a nice guy. The lady at the office was nice as well. However, it's not easy to find someone at the office to take your call. The price is very high compared with what they done. And they charged me for service items their workers did not do. The manage yelled at me in the email, saying that the worker did the job because he was on site. However, we were at home that day and saw what they had done. I ended up paying the fee and moved on because it's a waste of time talking with a contractor who lied about what they did.

They've been doing work across the street from us on and off for years. While they're taking care of the houses across from us they park on the side of our property and have damaged our trees with the truck. I asked them to please park on the other side of the street where there are NO trees and the crew today gave me a very hard time, was rude and refused to move the truck. I tried to contact their office but nobody answered. I've asked other crews to move their work truck in the past and never had any issue, just today.

Our primary point of contact at M&M was and has been Chris Wright. Chris is extremely professional and a joy to work with. At the start of this most recent project he presented us with his vision along with a detailed rendering of what everything would look like upon completion. We just did our walk through today and it everything looks great. Start to finish the project took probably 6 weeks, but that was expected and there were some delays due to weather. Throughout Chris was responsive to questions and helped keep us posted regarding progress. I would recommend M&M to anyone considering a landscaping project.

Design is complete. Actual work to be accomplished in early spring.

We were very impressed from the beginning with the patio and landscape design we were shown. And, once the job was done, we were amazed at the beauty and elegance of the final product. Our house is now complete! Trent and his crew worked very hard and diligently to give us the most beautiful patio in the world. Thanks guys!!

We contacted several companies to get an estimate on installing a paver walkway in our frontyard. Mand M provided us with the best design and Trent was the most knowledgeable, so we chose to move forward with them. They removed the concrete sidewalk that we had since we bought our home and replaced it with a paver walkway curving from the driveway to our front door. The project took about a week, and Trent was there every day to oversee the work. The cleaned up the site everyday and the foreman was very friendly. We have gotten many compliments on our new walk! We highly recommend Mand M.

We contacted M&M because one of our friends had work done by them and had a great experience. Although we were not in the area that they work, we contracted with them to complete a master plan. They provided us a detailed plan including a planting plan and hardscape layout. My husband and I had some ideas for our yard that they were able to incorporate creatively. We are currently contracted with another company to implement the work and we could not be more happy with what we see so far.

As we have a rather large yard around our entire home, they had to hand dig under the paver walkways in several places. And, in Virginia's hard red clay...it was quite an endeavor! Also, they ensured the many potted plants on back patio and hanging baskets, had the proper technical watering installation for full water coverage. May I add, with the most up-to-date irrigation control box easily accessible and to manage. We are very pleased with the quality of service and workmanship. A First Class job! Highly recommend Mand M!!

Trent Morris and his team @ Mand M Landscaping, designed and installed a complete backyard oasis for my wife, and I to enjoy. Trent was very knowledgeable about the project and listened and communicated all the details of the project with us. He provided and 2D and 3D design that helped my wife and I visualize and understand the project. Trent provided a proposal for installation, The price was fair and the proposal was very detailed. We hired Mand M landscaping and installation of the project started two weeks after we signed the contract. The project was completed on time and everything was covered. The project was effortless for my wife and I, Trent and his team executed everything from the design phase to installation. After dealing with such a great company we hired Mand M to maintain our landscape and preform monthly maintenance. I highly recommend Trent and his team @ Mand M Landscaping, they created an outdoor space for my wife, kids and I to enjoy. Thank you Trent and the Mand M staff.

We called Mand M on a Monday to come out and give us an estimate. We met with a representative that day and a crew was there several days later to complete the work. They took out some Juniper bushes that had been there for years and replaced them with Boxwoods, Knockout Roses and flowering perennials. The overall look is very neat and clean and was exactly what we were looking for. They were very professional from start to finish.

It has been up and down over the past 2 years. Our HOA chose them so we decided to go in with the group. I did not do any other research on my own. In the beginning there was confusion over replacement of plants and took nearly 5 months to get them as per initial estimate and visit to start contract. Major office confusion issues as owner is away a lot. This summer a rock was thrown up at one of our windows during service and chipped/cracked the window causing splitting as well...like a windshield. It was difficult to get in touch with them, and then when the info was delivered about the incident I started getting the run around. We were even mistakenly listed as another customer that had a similar problem in another community that had already been dealt with and paid. The insurance company was not helpful either and minimal contact with them as well on their part. In the end 3 3/4 months later, the claim was deemed unpayable with no witnesses and I was at fault. Ridiculous. BE WARE...do not do business with this company...the same could happen to you. FYI...they have a BBB rating of "F". I found out too late.

We had originally received estimates from three other providers, chosen one and worked up a complete design. Then that landscaper got too busy to return calls. We started over with three new estimate discussions. One of these was Mand M. Trent Morris (president) came soon after the initial call for the initial conversation. He returned about 5 days later to share the proposal. They started work approximately 10 days from the initial discussion. The plan was better than our original plan, the price was negotiated to be great for us and we were excited that they were able to start so quickly since we had lost about a month. Then the crew showed up and very quickly we knew we had made the right decision. All of the workers were very good, quick and deliberate. The first day they ripped out a lot of overgrown, odd landscaping from the previous owner. Then the hardscape crew took over and removed some old items, replaced pavers, added lighting and added a small semi-circle path from driveway to garage door. Then the landscapers came back to plant new items, add sod and clean up. The work took about six days plus another visit from the lighting person. They cleaned up each day and never were and quot;in the wayand quot; of anything or neighbors. We are THRILLED with the result and have received many questions/compliments from neighbors. Although the project was harder in the beginning than we wanted, we're thankful that the initial company feel through so we could end up with Mand M. We're now waiting on an estimate for maintenance in hopes that we'll continue the relationship with Mand M for all of our yard maintenance needs.

We needed to replace a crumbling front walk and revitalize the front yard. Chris did an excellent job listening to what we wanted and presented a thorough proposal with a terrific visual representation of the project. Chris listened and presented a number of new ideas that we implemented. The project started quickly after the proposal was accepted and Chris kept me appraised of the work schedule and any changes. The project was finished in a timely way, I was pleased and hired Mand M again for the landscaping. Again, Chris presented a terrific plan with new ideas to improve the overall look of the front of the house. The landscaping was done in a very timely way with great communication from Chris. He problem solved with me about various options and invited me to their location to look at the trees so I could visualize the final result. Chris' management of the entire process was a big part of my hiring Mand M again after the initial project. The entire project was professionally completed and I'm delighted with the results.
