Description of Work: Moved furniture & refrigerator on entire first floor so wood floors could be refinished. All went well. They were fast, all furniture moved to garage & basement. They came back a week later & put everything back. Very professional staff.

Description of Work: The crew was very friendly, but not professional. They were too lazy to use a handcart to move things from the house to the truck and carried piles of boxes on their backs. One guy loaded all my fragile dishes and bake ware and then dropped them right in front of me. Broke everything and I had to replace it all when I got to my new house. We are still unpacking and still finding broken things. They were very h****** the furniture, We had a lot of antiques and had to fill out a high value form which was filed in their folder and never looked at again. The high value stuff seemed to be what they were most inconsiderate of. |Then of course there was the issue of spiders. Several large wolf spiders and camel backed crickets came along and the one guy wouldn't even get in the truck to unload until I got in and killed the beasties. We had to help unload because that was the only way to get it finished in a reasonable time. Never seen such a bunch of pansies in my life.

Description of Work: Movers arrived on time, were pleasant and were very good. Arrived on time for drop off. My complaint was the fact that I had at least one box not delivered out of the two or three that I couldn't find. My copy of of the bill of lading was VERY hard to read.

Description of Work: They packed up my apartment and moved my stuff from Virginia to North Carolina. The packing was fast and smooth. The delivery date was sooner than expected. The delivery was prompted and the unloading was fast. No items were missing or broken. Wonderful service.

Description of Work: JK Moving did an excellent job moving all of our office furnishings in Crystal City. It was a short move (essentially across the street), however, the move was accomplished in less time than allocated and was done with great professionalism and pride or workmanship. I would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I used JK Moving services to have several rooms of my parents home put into storage so renovations could be completed on their home in Oct. I was able to get a quote and arrange for the move to storage within 24 hours. The movers were very professional, punctual, helpful and worked quickly but carefully. JK recently moved my parents belonging back from storage to their home. It was great that they assigned the same crew who had packed and moved their home to storage several months ago. The movers again were very professional and took time to protect the surfaces of a newly remodeled home. I had JK not just move furniture but unpack everything. They took all the boxes and paper with them and allowed my parents time to go through what they didn't want after the boxes were unpacked. They then moved the items back out of the house to be discarded. I know I paid extra for the unpacking service, but the extra hour of labor was well worth it and the movers positive and helpful attitude was a plus. I would highly recommend JK Moving Service. Once again it was a great experience from beginning to end. JK followed up before the move, during and after. Very professional and easy to work with.

Description of Work: I used them for a local move that included 2 nights of storage. The team was professional, arrived on-time, and even early on the delivery day, and worked quickly, but with care. They were sure to set up the furniture where I wanted it, even giving input. I had a small, 1000SF single family home and moved to a 3 level townhome. The total cost, including storage and travel fee was $1500.00. The rates were inline with the others I had received. They were also able to move me on a sunday. The downside is they charge a minimum of 3 hours, regardless of whether it takes them less time. It took about 2 hours each time.
