Gutterman Services Inc

I noticed some water spots had gradually formed on my 2nd and 3rd floor ceilings and suspected that a vent pipe had started leaking on the roof on a 3 story TH. So having called Gutterman Services and leaving a message on a holiday, my call was returned the next business day and after describing what I thought was the issue, I was quoted a very fair and reasonable price for the inspection and the work to repair the leak. The serviceman was very courteous and professional, I opted to meet the serviceman when he arrived at my home to do the work so I could let him in to inspect the ceiling, the attic and the top roof in order to make sure it was done right.. Its very nice that Gutterman Services is willing to do the small jobs too, not all companies will.

At the end of October, I called Gutterman Services to have them come to our house and identify why our gutters held water and overflowed during moderate storms. I was told they would call to make an appointment when someone was available. Two weeks later Gutterman Services called and told me the day and time frame someone would be out to look at the gutters. On the day of the appointment, the service employee did not show up at designated time. Apparently he arrived earlier than expected, but failed to leave a card or any information. A week later, I got a bill from Gutterman Services. When I called to ask what the bill was for, they advised me that their employee had done the inspection of my gutters on the scheduled day. When I informed their employee Katie that I was home at the scheduled time and never saw anyone from her company look at the gutters, she advised me she would have the employee who inspected the gutter system call me. It took several more days for this to happen. When it did, Mr. Rodriguez-Sawao advised me of what he saw as the problem with the gutter system, and his recommendation on how to fix it. After listening to his recommendations, I asked for a written report of what he saw during his inspection and an estimate on correcting the problems. This took several requests and weeks to obtain. I was frustrated because I thought that was why I was charge the $75. They advertise free estimates, but I wanted them to tell me why the gutters were not working correctly. We have not had the gutters fixed yet, but we are not confident in hiring Gutterman Services to do the work after the initial experience we have had with them.

Even after coupon, they were pricier than my other estimate, but I decided to trust the A ranking on Angie's List. I had requested from them: A.Clean gutters, B. Install gutter screens, C. Repair gutter where it was bent by a fallen tree, D. Install roof flashing and E. Schedule work when I was home, so I can inspect the work and also to agree on flashing install estimate, so it can be done right away. Pretty sure, nobody on the phone wrote that down. First, they nearly sent me a wrong guy, because a roofer was needed and a non-roofer was scheduled --glad I called for confirmation, they had to reshedule, but at least I didn't have to leave work for nothing. Next,I go for a short business trip and receive a message that the serviceman is scheduled the next day! Again, I call them asking to schedule when I'm home. Nope, can't do. Okay, I cave in but reinforce A-D above. Come home -- no debris on the ground and I still see plants growing from gutters just like they had been there before! From the upper level windows, I see gutters full of leaves. Note: it was extremely windy the day before...So, I have no evidence that the gutters had been cleaned -- but I give them the benefit of the doubt. No word on flashing installation, but I received an e-mail with an appx $750 estimate for replacement of some shingles and drip-edge install, with pictures (so, someone at least visited the property). Note: I never asked for such estimate, but that was actually the only positive in the whole experience: I give credit to companies that point out issues. Soo....generally, this company was a waste of my time and money. Back to square one, I'm on the quest for another company to do my A, B, C, D, E. Unless you need a simple gutter cleaning on a 1story house, they are incapable of anything else.

They were on time, very professional, worked very methodically and thoughtfully. They suggested a different way to running one downspout that was going from the 2nd story roof gutter above the front porch into the first story downspout. It was both more effective and also much better looking from the street, as it hide that downspout. No additional charge was incurred. They cleaned up every little nail and scrap of old gutter, and hauled that old gutters away. Then they made sure we looked at every part of the installation before they had us sign off on the work. The men were very polite and very considerate of the fact that we had dogs that needed to go out in tot the fenced-in back yard a few times a day, so they made sure the fence gates were closed. Great to work with.

After having decided that I wanted to work with Gutterman Services on this job I began communication with Larry Bowersox, the Sales Manager. I had many questions and he always responded quickly and knowledgeably. When a potentially complicated issue involving an adjacent town home was brought to attention, Sara Megonigal, one of the owners, problem solved the situation promptly and professionally. Gutterman was able to fit our job in their schedule earlier than expected. The team that came out to our home, Jamie and Manuel, were faced with some unusually difficult circumstances. Under the good guidance of Jorges Rodriguez, Service Foreman, they performed and completed the job well. Overall I am very happy to have worked with this company. They were responsive, respectful, willing to hammer a contract within my budget, and true to their word. I intend to recommend them to neighbors, friends, and family.

Not too impressed with the professionalism of the two individuals that showed up. Immediately upon getting on the roof, they were telling me of the "Bad News with my gutters. Back gutter was loose and there was some dry rot. Repairman did not take a picture of the dry rot, so I had to take his word. The lead Repairman, was not interested in giving me a price for repairing and reconnecting the back gutter, he wanted to sell me a NEW/ Top of the line Gutter system for my town house. I am no expert, however the current gutters are in good condition, except in the small area on the back gutter where several nail hooks had come loose, water had gone over the gutter. This are could easily have been repaired. A new gutter system was not necessary. The Lead Repairman promised to email me some quotes on repairs and or new gutters. It has been several weeks, and I have not heard back from the company. Lesson Learned: The cleaning of the gutters appeared to be a sales gimmick ( to push the sale of a New gutter system), as the work perfomed was truely just basic; was done in about 20 minutes and the clean up was not complete.

This was the first time I used Gutterman and I was pleased with their performance. Rob an Roddy came as scheduled on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, did a thorough job clearing the gutters, and cleaned up carefully afterwards. They honored the $20 Angie's coupon without being reminded. I will continue to use their service.

This is a newly developed type of gutter cover. I was very please with the reviews on the system and Gutterman Services did an excellent job with installation. The crew was professional and courteous. They took pictures so I could see the installed system. They even checked my roofing and outside of my skylight for any damages or issues with these areas making me feel at ease and feeling comfortable with what the winter may bring. I am extremely please with Gutterman Services and recommend them highly.

I called Gutterman on Friday 11/4 morning to get an estimate for gutter cleaning and a few minor roof repairs. I even went to the trouble of emailing them pictures so they could see what they were dealing with. The lady I spoke to said she would call me back after speaking w/ a technican and that she would call back in 15 mins. Well I never heard back. I followed up w/ a call late that afternoon to which another lady I spoke to said the first would call me back once she had a status update. To date they have never returned my phone call. Unreliable service providers is a real pet peeve of mine and for which I do not feel anyone should stand for, since WE are paying for their services.

I found them through Angie's List. There was a $20 off coupon for Angie's List members. I spent $105 with the Angie's List discount. They were very responsive. They returned my call very fast. Their price was not the lowest in the area. Usually it ranges from $60-$80, but I used them because they had very good reviews. They were really good. They came prepared. They had all the stuff that was needed for the work. They came with a hose. They didn't ask me for it. They didn't have to repair or replace anything. I would probably use them in the future, but if I had the time to get a better price then I would go with that.

The work was never performed, because they reneged on the written contract we had both signed. Basically, they decided that their salesman hadn’t priced the work highly enough. Therefore, they refused to move forward with the project.

Neil and Dennis arrived on time and went straight to the roof to inspect it. They came back and gave me an estimate which I was alright with. They fixed the roof and did great work. The price was also great. They charged me $275 which included the attic inspection.

Sent a service request by Email to Gutterman. It took them a couple days to contact me reference my request, but soon came to find out that was due to the high demand that they were experiencing after the heavy rains the area experience when the two tropical storms hit the area. After we exchanged a few Emails, I final got a call from Sara from the company. We discussed my issues and she provided me an estimate based on our phone conversation. Sara was very knowledgable, and was very pleasant to deal with over the phone. After checking out a few other companies though, I thought the extimate was a bit high. So, I cancelled my service request and went with another company. Nothing personally against the company, just found a better deal after shopping around.

I chose Gutterman because of their high reviews on Angie's List as well as the coupon they had available. I called on 10/03/11 to schedule a gutter cleaning. They asked for a credit card to keep on file so that they could charge it when the work was done, but only if no one was home when the technician had finished. I actually appreciated not needing to be there when someone came to do the work. After providing my contact and payment information, I was told that the work would be performed in the next 3-5 business days. Well, I got a call I believe it was the next day, saying that a technician would be out in my area and asking if it would be okay for them to do the work that day. I was more than happy to oblige. When I got home from work, the gutters were cleaned, debris cleaned up, and the technician had left a letter in the door explaining what he had done and suggesting additional work. The letter that he left said that my overall charge would be $125, so I called the company. The receptionist I spoke to was very friendly and explained that sometimes work orders in the field may not be as up to date as what's on file and that she would be sure to note my account that I had the Angie's List coupon and asked if I would like an itemized receipt emailed to me. I received the emailed receipt the next day and was charged the correct amount. Overall, a pleasant and extremely easy process to get my gutters cleaned. As long as Gutterman's prices stay reasonable for this service, I'll continue to use them in the future.

Overall, the experience was good. I was very pleased. They set up an appointment for estimates, and the sales man spent about 2 hours at my home, explaining everything thoroughly. He answered all of my questions and the cost was less expensive than the other company I called to get estimates. He also wasn’t pushy, as the other company was. Their product is high-quality. They did a very good job, installed everything properly and cleaned up very nicely afterwards. When they cleaned the upper gutters, the debris went on the roof, and when it rained, the debris went on top the newly-installed lower screens after it had rained. I asked them to come back and clean that up, which they did with no problems. I'm happy with their services.

After the big storm on 9/8 with all the flooding we realized that our gutters were not working properly and overflowing. My husband realized that there was standing water in them and that they were not properly tilted to allow them to drain. I called them on 9/9 and they said because of all of the rain recently that they were booked for 2 weeks! They asked me a few questions and gave me an estimate over the phone of about $155. They said they would call in two weeks to schedule an appointment when they are in my area. Two weeks came and on 9/23 I called them back to see if they would be able to come soon. They called me back that afternoon and scheduled an appointment for 9/27 in the afternoon. They said that I did not have to take off work and that they would take my credit card information then and they would leave a receipt and description of services in the mailbox for me.I ended up working from home anyways. They came early to the appointment and they took my husband around the house and showed him everything they did. They even fixed a cut they found in our siding and sealed it up, they renailed the gutter at the correct slope, cleaned out all the gutters, and they told us how many years until we would need to replace our roof. They were very knowledgeable in their craft. Best part is our total came to $125 which is under what they estimated it to be - now that is good service! Neil and Denis were our servicemen and they did a great and quick job - 30 minutes tops! Gutterman Services made it easy, painless, and affordable

They provided the estimate right away. At first they were going to schedule for this week, but now we're trying to schedule for next week. I am a little disappointed in the struggles I am having with scheduling the appointment. They were prompt in the beginning. They came out when they said they would. Their estimate looks really good. Apparently, the weather has given them more business than expected.

Excellent work. Very good crew and good materials. Morty, the estimator, was prompt and courteous. He came in well below two other estimates. The crew was professional, clean, friendly, and did a fantastic job. The front office is just a little goofy, hence the "b" rating. Don't get me wrong, they are friendly and helpful but one time I called with a simple pricing question and was advised they would call me back that day and I never heard back -- I had to call them back a few days later. Also, after my job was completed, I received a call to schedule the work. Finally, in my last conversation I couldn't get them to tell me the cost of the final bill (had to speak to someone in billing who had gone home). Don't let this detract from hiring them -- I provide this info more for their consumption. They are a very good company that does excellent work. I am very happy I used them.

They rerouted the old gutter systems. They enlarge the gutters from 4 inches to 6 inches. They came out a month later to assess an area that they were unsure if they had made the right decision for. They found that there was excess water cascading. They fixed the problem without any issues. I am very happy with their services.

Lorry came out at the agreed upon time and listened to my concerns. He inspected the entire guttering system and then made recommendations and an estimate. The contract was signed and I was told what to expect with scheduling. The work was schedule by phone. On the appointed day the gutters were delivered and installed.

Everything went very well. We are very pleased with the result and woud recommend this company to our friends. The crew were very pleasant and tidied up after the job was completed.

Everything was great start to finish. Very easy to sign up for service, and they came when they said they would - called me the day before to tell me they would be there. The work was done professionally and very well, to my complete satisfaction. I would definitely use them again, no question.

We received two quotes, both from Angie's list contractors and both quotes were literally within dollars of each other, so I felt I was getting a good deal. It was a tough decision and we went with Gutterman because they were a little closer to home, and we had met the owner through professional affiliations. The person doing the quote was very nice and he answered several questions via email that I sent to him afterwards in a timely manner. They were also able to make my timeline as I wanted it done before I went on vacation. The work crew foreman was very polite and could communicate to me and they did a good job of cleaning up, though I did find a few pieces of gutter in the bushes later, but that's understandable. The rest of the ground was very clean. All in all a very nice job. I haven't posted till now because I've been waiting for rain to be sure I was speaking the truth, but since we have had a few little rains, all looks good. No more waterfall over my breakfast nook and no more squirrels in the attic.

I had my gutters replaced because a part of the old ones had separated from my roof causing a severe leak into the house. I called them and they were out right away. I was so scared of continued water leakage, they kindly took pictures and showed me there was no chance of any leakage after their installation. The crew was professional and very nice. When I found one small imperfection on the ledger board in the front of the house they came out immediately and made it to my liking.

They were professional and the bid was very competitive. The salesman (he was a consultant rather than trying to sell something) was very helpful and went above and beyond what would be expected. In addition the company sent correspondence that showed they really appreciated us getting a bid. I would recommend others seek their services. Although we did not use this company in this instance, I would certainly seek them out again if we needed these services in the future.
