It went well. Provider was also very knowledgeable on which options were available, to help correct our home HVAC problems.

I had an awful experience with Garneski. My air conditioner broke over the weekend. Frank came out and gave me two options, to replace the motor for $1098 or to replace the entire unit for $6,500. I opted to do just the motor, which involved replacing the condenser fan motor and capacitors. He charged me $97 to come out, which I was fine with. However, he charged me $777 for a motor that I discovered after they left, is available online for $83. The entire visit took only 40 minutes to complete, and cost a total of $1098. I gave them a chance to correct the situation, considering the outrageous up-charge on the part, but their response is that it's expensive to do business in Northern Virginia. I do not recommend using Garneski. I don't believe they are giving fair prices.

After a phone call to Tim requesting information on replacing our unit, Willie came out the next day to measure. He was friendly and didn't complain when assisted by our cat. The following day, Josh, Jimmy and Luis installed the new unit; they were punctual, professional, and took great care both inside the house and around the plants on the outside.

Garneski scheduled me for a 3-5 window to repair my AC unit. At 5:00 I called to find out where the technician was. I was told they would be there by 7:30. At 6:00 I was called by the technician and told they could not make until after 10:00 that night. I had taken half a day off of work in order to be home at 3:00. They also had me prepay the $97 service fee when I scheduled the service. Fortunately I used American Express so I will be able to cancel the charge. They were very good at collecting my money but as far as I'm concerned they were a no show for the service. Fortunately I found another service company who was able to come out and make the repair.

It did not go well at all. I contacted the number provided after 11:00 a.m. after a no-show for the 10:00 a.m. appointment. The call reached a calling service. I left a message but did not recieve a return call using this method. I then replied to the appointment confirmation email and included a second email provided. This time I got a called from Mrs. Garneski informing me that they had no record of the appointment. No answer was provided when I informed her that I received an email confirmation for the appointment. Instead, I was told they had a birthday party to attend. I understand issues can arise beyond one's control. However, this is unacceptable and unprofessional especailly for a prespective client which is basically your "bread & butter." I took the time to make myself available on a Saturday when I could've been enjoying my day off. Perhaps I had a party to go to! I decided not to rescheduled and went with my first estimale, Able Plumbing. As the saying goes....."The first time, shame on you, the second time, shame on me." Thankfully it wasn't "shame on me" because there wasn't opporunity for a second chance. I've been long enough without a working stove to give a second chance. Garneski may do good work at a good price but in the end professionalism weighs heavily!

It was very good. We have a contract with them. They are efficient and do a good job. The service was free because it was under warranty. They were prompt, on time, explain things with the customer and don't try to ripe you off.

It went fantastically. I thought they were great. I thought they were excellent. They didn't pressure. They offered us a service contract which I think all HVAC companies do but they didn't give me any pressure about it, he just wanted me to know it was available. I thought the price was very reasonable. He got there in the time frame he said he was going to be there. He was very professional.

It went very well. I have them in every quarter. If I have a concern, they thoroughly check it. Whenever we felt like it's something they covered, they're very easy to mediate with. They're very good. They come when they say. You call up and you get your appointment. They follow up and they're very nice. We usually have the same guy so there's continuity. They have the same service. They're definitely clean. They know what they're doing. They explain things well to you.

They did a nice job. Everything is great. They're fantastic. We used them multiple times. We would call them again.

Awful customer service. In all of my years of home ownership, I have never had the type of experience with an owner of a company like I did a few weeks ago. After seeing all of the As on Angie's List for Garneski Air and Heating, I contacted the scheduler to have someone provide an estimate on a new furnace. Frank, the President, arrived late (I had to call his office to get an ETA) and was in a very bad mood. He did not say hello, he did not furnish his business card until the 2nd time I asked, and did not make eye contact with me. He then noted the water in my furnace room and said I needed a new air conditioner. Then he verbally told me the cost and then e-mailed me an estimate from his smartphone. I asked him if he had planned to measure my unit or tell me the tons needed based upon my square footage or provide any more information. His response in a nutshell was that he simply knew what I needed and the cost will be up to $7000 to replace both. I was quite confused because he just mentioned that I did not need a furnace yet gave me a quote for both an air conditioner and furnace. I asked him what was wrong with my air conditioner, and he did not clarify. I asked why water was leaking, and he did not explain. I asked why I needed a new furnace when he said I did not earlier in our chat, and he did not explain. I felt like Frank simply did not want to be at my home and was in a hurry to go home. Even my tenants were stunned by his demeanor. So, I hired another company to replace my air conditioner and the owner actually explained to me what was wrong with my air conditioner, put a tool against it to test the output (which Frank did not even do), and provided me with several options. The new company even tested my furnace (which Frank did not do) and determined it does not need to be replaced. More importantly, the company I hired treated me with respect, dignity and professionalism.

Garneski is the best A/C & Heating company I've worked with. They always send the same technician, and though his name has currently escaped my memory, he's awesome. He was the only tech who knew how to properly adjust my Carrier unit to allow for 2-stage heat (jumper wire) -- no other company could figure it out. He said that Garneski continually sends its technicians to continuing ed so they keep up on the latest info for all the units they service. Garneski's service is prompt, efficient, courteous and the quality is awesome. They always patiently answer my questions. I'm now on their annual service contract, and I highly recommend them.

They're a very good company. We've used them for 15 years. They've installed our first air conditioning unit and they'll be installing our second. They're fairly flexible in terms of appointments and the technicians seems to be knowledgeable and on time. I think they're competitive. I don't think they're higher than anybody else in the market.

We like them. We used them all the time. They usually do the service in spring and the fall. It’s a yearly service. It’s $200 to do the service for the spring and the fall. They come when they said they were coming. I don’t have any bad experience with them. They schedule an appointment in a year. They’re good.

It was a very good experience. I liked that they seemed like they are a small locally owned company. It seemed like they had fair pricing. They were on time and very professional. They did not try to oversell their products and they did what I asked them to do. They gave me some options for things that we could do in the future but they did not push. They have a service package that is $200 for the year and that includes two routine maintenance appointments, so we still have one to go. I would definitely use them again in the future.

We have used them for probably about five or six years and they are really good. I do not know the cost of their service because I do not pay it and my husband does. They are very competent. They come in and they are careful. They put on their booties and they do everything inside and outside. They just do not go in and out. They are very thorough. My husband has been very pleased with them all the time as well. One guy said that we needed some filter or something and he said, "I live really close by, I will bring you one by," and that was what he did. It is really nice when you can get somebody like that. They go above and beyond. I think that their price is reasonable enough because we have used them for many years and if we are not getting our money's worth, my husband would not be using them. The quality of their service is really good and they are very responsive. Since we have used them so much, they call us at the beginning of the season and say, "It is time for your checkup," or my husband will call them and say that we want to have them come out and check it. They are very punctual. If they say that they are going to be here at 2:00, they are here at 2:00. I think that one time they were late and they called. There are usually one or two guys that come to the house and they are very professional in what they do. They are definitely who we will use to do our air conditioning unit in the future.

My experience has been all good. They seem to be thorough and the quality was high. It costs me about $150 for the annual contract with them. They come out twice a year. The last instance it was not their responsiveness, but it was their answering service so I don't really know if that is them or not. Once I got them in the morning they were very responsive.
