We were very pleased with them. They did a good job. The price was competitive and they did not try to sell unnecessary service.

They are very responsive, helpful, and they come on time. They do what they say they are going to do. We have used them for many years and we have their annual service agreement. They have always done a good job. They call ahead of the appointment and they are accommodating to schedule changes.

They installed the new Carrier units but not the electrostatic air cleaner we ordered. I noticed it and told the installer. He called the company and, sure enough, the order called for the electrostatic air cleaner we ordered. He said he would not be able to replace it that day. I had taken off work for two entire days for the duct sealing and system install so, since it was the company's mistake, I asked them to come on a weekend day so I wouldn't have to take another day off. Garneski himself said no, they don't do that. No apologies, no excuses, no nothing! They came on another day to replace it and did so, with me missing another work day. Two years later I was having the unit serviced by a different company. ( I will not give any more money to Garneski!) The technician asked why the air conditioning compressor was not a Carrier unit like the rest of the system. It turns out that Garneski for some reason installed a generic compressor instead of a Carrier. I can only assume that it was a way for them to save money and give me a lower estimate for installation. The technician had never seen such a thing before. I feel that this was completely unethical. If there was a good reason, why didn't Garneski explain it to me before?

On time, pleasant and courteous, answered all my questions. Found Garneski by cross-referencing all Carrier-certified HVAC companies in my area with Angie's List and as bonus found Yelp coupon. Have had a Carrier unit for YEARS, and original selling point on it was that it had dual stage heat -- if low setting not enough, would kick up to high, but in meantime would be quieter and maybe save natural gas. Never worked that way. Every time I asked a servicer, they'd shrug. The Garneski rep was the FIRST servicer to know exactly what the problem was: a jumper wire had been set, and in 5 seconds he removed it, and now the unit works as promised. I'll stick with Garneski - pays to have service personnel with the right creds. Very pleased!

We contacted Garneski when we noticed our heat pump was frosting over; they were prompt in setting up an initial appointment, and were very professional during that first appointment. Although the first technician did not fully address the problem, when we reached out to Garneski, they were very quick to address our concerns and sent another technician the following day (kudos to them for arranging this on New Year's Day). The second technician was fantastic - he quickly addressed the issue, obtained the necessary replacement part within the day, and came back to install the part that evening. We are very pleased with the manner in which Garneski handled the situation (they did not charge us the service fee for the second appointment), and we will definitely use them again in the future.

The person who has done the estimate did a very thoroughly job, he then gave us three options to decide. He did not push us to upgrade to a better model. Front desk was friendly and helpful to make a schedule with. Three technicians arrived on time on the work day. They did a great job and answered all our questions. We choose the mid-grade model and are happy with it. Definitely will recommend them to everybody.

Scheduled an appointment for 12/12/12 for a routine system check out. Appointment was scheduled quickly and a follow up e-mail was sent to comfirm the appointment date and time. Service tech called in advance on the scheduled date to let me know he was on the way and actually moved the appointment up an hour, which was fine with me. Tech was pleasant and moved through the check out in a timely manner. Explained what he was doing as he did it and gave me a heads up that the contactor would probably need to be looked at in the future due to heavy pitting of the contacts. Did not use any pressure to get me to replace the contactor that day or to sign up for a service contract. The check out went quickly and I was satisfied that the work was done correctly. All in all, a good experience as compared to others I've had over the past years.

Garneski performed a routine check of our heating furnace as part of our maintenance package. They were punctual, knowledgeable and professional. They answered all of my questions and I've found it very helpful to have an assessment of our furnace, since our system is not new. Given my interactions with them thus far, I would recommend them to friends and family.

Arranged to semi-annual inspection of two HVAC zones. Tech arrived on time and explained what he would be doing. Used disposable shoe booties to keep my carpets clean. Because one of the zone units is in the second floor ceiling, I like the peace of mind of having the unit checked a couple times a year to ensure the condinsate overflow system is clear and working. The tech also replaced the humidifer pad for the discounted cost of the pad (which was less than I would have paid at Home Depot). The tech spent about an hour at my house and when complete, explained what he had done. Garneski replaced/installed my two units over the past 5 years and have done a good job of maintaining them. The proof is in the fact that neither system has failed during peak usage i.e. dead of winter or hottest day of the year!

I have had a service contract with this company for a few years and in the past they would send me a letter to advise when (in the spring and in the fall) I could call them to set up an appointment. This year I had not received a letter from them by the first of October so I called them and was told that they were using email this year. Well, I did not receive an email from them even though they have the correct email address for me. I set-up an appointment for Monday, October 15 at 8:00 A.M. A little while later I received an email from them confirming the appointment but with the wrong date: the 16th instead of the 15th. I called them back to re-schedule since I was busy on the 16th. They said the week was already booked-up and I would need to wait until 8:00 A.M. on Monday, October 22. No one arrived by 8:30 A.M. on Monday, October 22 so I called them and was told that the technician was running late and would be here by 9:30 A.M. He wasn't here by 9:30 nor by 10:00. When he finally arrived at 10:07 I asked why he was so late? He replied that he had NOT been running late - he was told that my appointment was for 10:00 A.M.! All went well after he arrived. He was very competent, professional and personable. Concerning whether I will use this company again: I have always been very satisfied with the competence of the technicians, their professionalism and prices; but I have had problems with punctuality (which, it now turns out, may be due to the person making appointments and/or the dispatcher). My contract is in effect until fall, 2013, and I'll decide after the spring check-up whether or not to renew the contract.

The installation resulted in ugly venting protruding from my house which the company has yet to rectify even though it promised to do so. Secondly, the system's air filter failed within months of the installation, and it took the company months to get it working properly.

Two years ago, Garneski installed air/heat unit. This year we requested an inspection. Garneski suggested we renew our svc contract, so we did. The person came out the 1st time & inspected, reported everything was fine. Within a couple weeks, we turned on the air & it wasn't working. When the tech returned (after a no-show, & then late arrival), he stated he didn't inspect the condenser b/c it was a new system & he didn't think it would need it. Later, he stated he was aware that this is a problem w/the manufacturer, so he wasn't surprised (no one mentioned this when we bought the system!!) Furthermore, we didn't buy the "right" svc contract, so it wouldn't be covered. The person who sold us the svc contract didn't mention there was more than one type, and readily admits the "better" contract was not mentioned. However, our loss for not buying what was not offered. We spent over $9K on a system that broke w/in 2 yrs, spent add'l $250 for a svc contract that got us a false inspection (I later learned he didn't even remove the front of the unit. Had he done so, he would have immediately seen the leak). Mr. Garneski was notified of all this. He admits he is aware we were not offered the "better" svc contract, and admits he is aware the inspection was not thorough. However, he will not provide a refund & was not about to stand behind the product he sold nor the work of his employee(s). We had to contact another contractor to repair our 2 year old air conditioning unit.

I am a long time homeowner (over 40 years ) and have had several HVAC systems installed in the houses I have owned during that time. Without question, Garneski's performed the best installation. Garneski's technicians and their workmanship are first class. In addition, Frank Garneski, the owner, personally does the estimate and assessment of the equipment and services that are needed. I found Frank Garneski to be the most knowledgable HVAC person I have dealt with. I obtained four estimates from highly-rated companies. Garneski's estimate was not the highest or lowest; however, Garneski's offered me more options and alternatives than any other contractor and did not try to steer me to the most expensive system. . I chose Garneski because I was confident that they would provide good value for the money. Based on the installation provided and two months of operation of the HVAC system , I am confident that I made the right choice. I recommend Garneski's without reservation.

Water was leaking out of my Heater Unit in the Garage. I called Garneski and made an appt for 11:00am. I asked them to call when they were on their way and Dalin did. He knew immediately what the problem was and gave me 2 options. The first option was to clear the clogged pipe but if it were to get clogged again, I would need to have them come out again. The 2nd option was a better choice becuase it allowed me to monitor when the pipe was getting clogged and it would also stop the AC from running if it was clogged. Plus, I would be able to clear the clog myself. Currently the AC continues to run, even if the pipe is clogged, which could have resulted in major damage to the unit, luckily I caught it in time. He also told me I was buying the wrong size Filter and air was leaking out big time. That caused the unit to run more than it needed to, so my bill will probably go way down once I put the right sized filter in.
