Description of Work: My heating stopped coming on automatically and I was due anyway for Donmar to come out and give the whole system the once-over. I asked for Marco, and Marco came with another guy. I also asked Marco to check the flue, which appeared to have been knocked off where it should've been by one of the contractors who was working on my basement. In fact, I know it was knocked off where it should've been because my son saw it happen and was told not to come into the basement and check on things when he said to the contractor that that wasn't good. I had headaches every morning when I woke up until Marco fixed it. He also isolated the source of the heating not coming on. Again it was the fault of the contractors (this has been a TERRIBLE experience for me, having my basement remodelled) because the dust from the tiles that they cut got onto the sensor. Anyway - we cleaned the sensor, fixed the flue and all is good now. I have recommended Donmar to several friends, all of whom have been as delighted as I am with their professionalism.

Description of Work: This was my first annual fall service on the new HVAC system they installed in May (included in the price so no charge). The technician arrived on time, did a great job with the inspection and also changed my dampers for me for fall/winter air circulation. He answered the questions I had regarding my thermostat reminders regarding my furnace filters, too. | |I would recommend this company highly for your annual maintenance contracts/inspections and also for installation of any replacement system.

Description of Work: The original price quoted was for a basic heat exchanger unit at a very competitive as well as lower price than we ended up paying. Upon discussion, we determined we could upgrade for $550 more which would be substantially offset by manufacturer's and a power company's rebates for energy efficiency. We're waiting for our 12 years old basic furnace/A/C to go and we'll be on the phone with Donmar first thing.

Description of Work: I had Donmar come and inspect my heat pump/air conditioning unit as part of the Dominion tune-up rebate program. I was not having any issues prior to the appointment. He let me know of some items that needed monitoring but did not require repairs at this time. He also provided some education on the system installed in my home regarding making costly repairs to a unit as outdated as mine is. He was not pushy and submitted my rebate form to Dominion in lieu of direct payment by me to Donmar. I will only have to pay for the tune-up if the rebate is not accepted by Dominion. The technician did not recommend any repairs I am required to perform to receive the rebate, so that shouldn't be a problem.
