They were fine. It was a good experience. Their price is average. They helped my daughter with some things that they were responsible for. They were great.

The experience was wonderful! I called the company to set up an appointment for an estimate. Leon contacted me and we set up an appointment immediately. He gave me a quote and it was guaranteed to not exceed that price. The packing crew of three individuals came to the house on Tuesday and packed everything up. On Wednesday Ruben showed up with two other men and they loaded the entire contents of the house into the truck.They followed me from the old house in Arlington to the new house in Alexandria. The new house is afour story rowhouse that had been completely repainted the week before. Most of the "heavy" items, like my wife's treadmill, were going to the top floor. I explained my concern for the walls and the crew was absolutely amazing! They did a magnificent job and worked from 9:30am until 7:30pm, taking just a few minutes to eat some sandwiches my wife brought home.The entire experience was magnificent and I wish I could hire them to unpack the boxes at the new house! I would definitely use them again and strongly recommend their services!

From the initial phone call to the amazing moving crew, we were impressed! We did our own packing, but they ensured that all of our furniture was padded & wrapped. I highly recommend Boxcart!

During June, In the height of the "moving season," Leon at BoxCart worked my relocation requirement into their busy schedule. The professional moving team arrived on-time, worked hard, and transported my household as scheduled. The work could not have been done any better; it was a job done well.

I signed a contract with BoxCart to help move my town home and car to North Carolina which they did not live up to. They refunded $200 for not living up to the contract we agreed on however I was still not satisfied with the work. They were hired to do the packing, moving, and unloading. While they were packing my belongings they were just dumping things into boxes, clothes were folded and dumped into boxes as well. I am still having trouble finding some of my belongings that they packed. One of the days they were scheduled to come out and pack they sent a group of young individuals who spent more time laughing, dancing, and playing then performing the job duties. Then they left at 2:30 stating there boss said they could leave because they were tired. They were very unprofessional and inexperienced. The packing alone cost $2000. When it came to the unloading process it took them 9 hours to do so. They were supposed to unload the boxes in the correct rooms in the house, however most of the boxes were unloaded in the garage and left for me to move throughout the house. The movers were respectful but appeared to be too much work for just four guys.

The move went very well. The estimate was very much in line with actual costs. The movers were very hard working and very careful with my belongings both from my old home and to my new home. All items arrived in the same condition that they left me in. The price, I thought, was very reasonable. The best part, my move to my new place was unavoidably delayed due to a major storm that caused power outages. The settlement was delayed as a result, but Boxcarts was able to reschedule me with a day's notice to make sure I received my belongings as quickly as possible. I thought that was very good customer service.

The job was done very professionally. Our furniture was properly protected via blankets provided by Boxcart. The work was done in about 2 hours. The movers had to span 3 flights of stairs and did so without any damage to the heavy items they were bringing downstairs. I am using their storage facility in Sterling, VA to store until I move into a permanent home next year. I would highly recommend Boxcart for those that need storage and don't want to deal with the hassle of moving items into a storage unit on their own.

The whole experience was wonderful! The guys came both times when expected. They were personable, organized and responded to all my requests and instructions. The first move went flawlessly and even my daughter was impressed with their professionalism and responsiveness, especially the placement of the grand piano. The long distance move also went flawlessly. They arrived on Sunday to pack up the truck, taking 3 hours and doing no damage to either the furniture or the housee. Then on Tuesday, they delivered the furniture and boxes to my new home in Greenville. Again. the move went smoothly once more taking about 3 hours. And, once again, no damage was done to the furniture or the house. I would definitely recommend this company for both the quality of the move and their price. I received other estimates over a $1000 more than their bid.

Box Cart gave me an estimate on the phone and then, when I requested, came out to the house to do an on-site estimate. I was planning to do most of the packing and didn't quite manage it, but even despite that fact, the final price came in within the range of the estimate we were given. It was a ridiculously hot day and we had a ton of stuff, but the guys just kept on working for the most part. Everything arrived in good condition. I should have labelled the boxes better because some things were left in the wrong rooms, but for the big furniture they made sure it was going to the right place when they dropped it off. All in all I was very pleased.

Our cost estimate was provided as one number for the entire job, and the cost was a fixed price. The estimator said it would take one day to pack, one day to load, one day to drive, and one day to unload. And they could do it with one truck (because of the accessibility limits in NC, a big semi wouldn't work, but he was confident they could do it with Boxcart's largest truck (33 footer?)).Packing: estimated at one day with 4 packers. Three packers arrived a bit late because they were given the wrong address, but after a long day, everything was packed. Our china, crystal, and some large antique furniture were packed extemely well -- no damage on the other end.Loading: estimated at one day with 4 loaders. Six loaders and 2 trucks arrived on time, and they were through in under 6 hours. I think they adjusted their estimated effort in loading and transporting based on the previous day's experience. They had to use the second truck, which did not affect our cost because we had a fixed price arrangement.Driving: the trucks and we all drove to NC the following dayUnloading: the two trucks, and 3 unloaders, arrived as scheduled and we determined the best way to get the trucks to our new house. They had to back the trucks the last 400 yards, which they did without any problem. The unloading and set up of the furniture and rugs took about 6 hours, and it went very well.We have now unpacked all the boxes, and we are very happy with the condition of the moved items. A couple of items have minor damage, but that is inconsequential given the size of the job and the overall great job Boxcart performed.From the estimator, to the packers, to the loaders, to the drivers, and to the unloaders, Boxcart is a professional outfit. Experienced, hardworking, and courteous.I would definitely use them again.

The team was very punctual and worked very hard. There was an oversight on the part of the job foreman - he had overlooked the requirement to pack dishes and failed to bring dish-pak boxes. Once he recognized the error, he called the office and made arrangements. It was several hours before the dish-paks were delivered by a co-worker, but eventually everything was completed. I have moved several times in the military. This team was one of the most careful and skilled at wrapping and loading furniture that I have ever worked with. My stuff will be in storage with BoxCart for a while. I anticipate that everything will be in pristine condition!

It was fine. I thought it was expensive, but the other companies I contacted were the same. They gave me a flat rate. They only accept cash or a cashiers check or some sort of certified check. They people were great from the first phone call to the actual movers. They cleaned up the house in a short period of time. They did a good job.

I was under the gun to arrange a move for my son in D.C. long distance from Charlotte, NC. He was out-of-the-country as his lease expired. I had no idea of who to use in the D.C. area so I went to Angie's List. BoxCart was highly reviewed so I called them first for a quote. I was very impressed with the prompt call back from Leon. Leon scheduled the move for 9:30 a.m. on the following Saturday and I drove up from Charlotte and met the movers there. They were actually about 30 minutes early which worked fine because I had gotten there early as well. The crew of three worked very efficiently packing and loading all the furnishings into 2 containers. They were finished in less than the 3 hours that Leon estimated the job would take. The boxes were stored in BoxCart's warehouse for two months. When my son got back to D.C. and rented a new place, BoxCart was just as efficient delivering and unloading the containers. BoxCart is a great moving company with excellent customer service. I wish they had a location here in Charlotte because I would definitely use them again.

I really enjoyed working with BoxCart - they were attentive from the time we booked the move all the way afterwards to see how things went. Would definitely use them for a move in the future. I didn't like the fact that they tack on 1 hour travel time (equivalent to $150) at the end of the moving time but that seems to be the trend in the area.

3 movers arrived promptly and were prepared with all the tools and supplies necessary to move my items to a storage facility. The men used floor coverings as to protect my tile and carpet. They wrapped my furniture in protective wrap. They moved all the items out of the house and into the storage unit in about 3 hours, which was very impressive. One man was in charge of organizing the items in the storage unit and I was very impressed by his skills in getting use out of all the space in the unit. The men were friendly and careful with my belongings. There were no surprise charges (which I have seen happen to other people). I also received follow up handwritten mail thanking me for my business.

The 3-person team did nexcellent job. Very professional. Arrived right on time. Packed everything as requested, shrink wrapped furniture to protect it, and did logical things during the packing. Why ovine things into my rented storage unit, they packed it very carefully to make the best use of space. Nothing damaged or lost.

BoxCart was, by far, the best moving company we've ever had. The move was flawless from beginning to end. I contacted Kim a couple weeks ahead of the move and got an estimate from Leon of about 8 to 10 hours total. I had already estimated 8 hours, myself, since we moved 18 months previous to this, but at that time we moved more stuff ourselves. The day of the move, Junior arrived with two other men and a 26 foot truck at 9:00 am, just as promised. He even called me 30 min prior to getting there. One of the men was a little small, but he carried his weight with no problem at all! We showed them what was going where (I had a copy of the new house plan with me) and they went to work. They all started working fast, but careful, and were able to maintain that pace the entire move. Each of the men were polite, professional, and capable. Junior was an excellent supervisor and actually led by example! The move took longer than I thought, but that was my mistake; they came in exactly on the estimate. Other movers I've had in the past would have gone over by at least an hour or two, but these guys from BoxCart kept up the pace and made our move the best we've ever had. I prefer to use small or family owned businesses whenever possible, which is one reason I choose BoxCart. I also got a good sense about the company after my initial conversation with Leon. He even told me who he thought would be my best choice in moving companies if not BoxCart. That's truely when I decided to use BoxCart. Moving is h***, for us anyway, and they did everything possible to make it less of a burden for us. This move went flawless, even the weather was good! I will definitely use BoxCart again for my next move.

BoxCart was very professional and easy to work with. Their salesperson came to my house and reviewed my belongins and prepared an estimate at the appointment. He was very clear in detailing out the charges (I had a piano for example) and what was included in the pricing. On Moving Day, the movers were prompt and arrived on time. The were careful with my belongings and loaded the storage containers effeciently moving my house into the storage containers in about three hours. When it came time to retrieve my belongings, I was able to schedule that appointment within two weeks of my moving date and they were prompt with appointment confirmations, following up on the details (such as the new address) etc. On moving day, the movers called about 45 minutes prior to arrival to indicate they were on their way and were 15 minutes early. They then moved my belongins into my new house in about 2 and 1/2 hours - working very effeciently. If I have to move again (locally) I would definitely use BoxCart in the future.

The BoxCart rep, Leon, was very prompt in contacting us after I made an inquiry via Angie's List. We spoke to several similar companies, and were most comfortable with BoxCart, both in pricing and in portrayal of their service. The office staff was excellent at communicating what needed to be done, answering our questions, and responding promptly to phone calls. Really appreciated Amy's visit during the pickup to ensure that all was going well. And thanks for the peeps! We also bought replacement value insurance since the default $.60/lb is inadequate. Baker Insurance was every responsive and the cost was reasonable, although we selected the $1000 deductible. For pickup, there was a crew of 5, led by Jonathan. Jonathan called 30 min before arriving and arrived 5 minutes early. After assessing the items, they loaded the truck in 5 hours. The crew was professional, courteous, careful, communicative, cheerful, and moved everything out of the house without damage to walls or items. This was an experienced crew that worked well together and worked hard. Kudos to Jonathan for his technical and management skills. For delivery, the weather was cold and rainy, but that didn't stop Jonathan and his 2 crew men - Hector and Guillermo. The 3 of them took 6 hrs to unload. Once again,they were extremely efficient and careful. I highly recommend using BoxCart. Their service was outstanding, with everything planned out ahead of time, to include contingencies (such as the bad weather). Even though moving is stressful, the fantastic staff made it painless. It went very well. They were timely and handled things well. They may be slightly more expensive than other companies but we felt the service was well worth it.

to a small apartment, I was not quite sure what was going to fit there. They suggested that I go ahead and take my things up there and offered to take anything that didn't fit back to their storage facilities (I had planned to store some of my things with them, in any event). True to their word, they hauled the things that wouldn't fit back to their storage for me. Finally, I thought their price (low $3,000.00) was fair, and they charged me what they'd quoted me. They did a great job for the price to which we'd agreed. If you are contemplating a move, check out BoxCart. They are great!!

The whole story is painful but Boxcart made it bearable. They were so flexible - because I changed move dates a lot! Aubrey Stowell made himself immediately available for estimates and to rework what we were trying to do. Always professional but warm. Between him, Kim in the office, and Amy Stowell (VP and an acquaintance), we felt so well taken care of from start to finish. The moving teams were terrific - and we met all of them over our several month ordeal. I think this is a terrific company and a woman-owned business that should be well-supported by the community. I've been moved many times by the big guys but Boxcart is the one I will always recommend in the future.

I was moving locally from McLean to Alexandria, VA. I contacted several moving companies for quotes. Aubrey (the owner of BoxCart) personally came to my apartment to provide a quote. He was very polite, warm and professional. He provided a folder which contained references, copies of all of their licenses, moving tips, and copies of their previous Angie's List awards. The information and his quote clearly outlined what was included in the cost estimate. AIso, I ended up having to move up the date of my move, and BoxCart easily accommodated this change. The morning of the move the drivers called me in advance to let me know they were on their way and that they were actually running a bit early. They asked me if I wanted them to arrive early (by about 15 minutes) or if they should wait and show up the at the designated start time of 9am. I told them they didn't have to wait. The crew arrived, situated the truck and came up to my apartment. All three of the men were very polite and friendly. The lead guy had me sign off on the start time (which was still listed at 9am even though they started early) and immediately got to work. Loading my belongings took approximately 2 hours. I was really impressed with how efficient and careful they were. Everything was securely wrapped and protected. Nothing in my old apartment was dinged or damaged. Unloading at the new place was equally careful and efficient. All of my belongings were in tact with no damage. Also, there was no damage/scuffs/etc. to any surface in my new apartment. When the move was finished, they had me sign-off on the end time and final calculation. It was exactly as they had predicted in their quote. $155/hour for a crew of 3 men and a 27 foot truck. 4 hours of work time + 1 hour drive time (drive time included getting to my old apartment and returning from my new apartment). There were no hidden fees. All of the blankets, shrink-wrap, tape, etc. that they utilized were included in a flat $15 dollar charge that was provided in the original quote. I tipped the crew members $20 each for doing such a great job. I have since received a hand-written note in the mail from the company's Vice President, thanking me for my business. I would highly recommend BoxCart Movers to anyone looking to do a local move within the DC metro area. Their professionalism and efficiency can't be beat!

They were very professional. We used this company five years earlier for the same reason, to help clear out clutter to sell our home. When we needed to do the same thing again I called them, and they still had our name in their records. Their prices were very reasonable. The service was excellent. The customer service was outstanding, and I felt like I was their only priority. It was so nice to work with people who were pleasant, respectful, and responsible. Should I need storage in the future I will definitely give them my business, and I will recommend them to friends and family.
