Description of Work: Antiques and Furniture Resportation refurnished a rocking chair that had belonged to my grandmother. The rocking chair had been in a basement for around 20 years so it was a litle wobbly. Yasser and his team reglued the chair and refinished it. They also sent it to get the cushion redone. They did an excellent job and I got it back quicker than I thought. It looks great.

He discussed all my options and explained how he could restore it. We decided on the option that best fit my budget. He even came to my home to look at the problem.

Description of Work: I never had the service. I purchased two Big Deal coupons to refinish two wooden kitchen chairs that are not antiques. The provider gave me an estimate of $375 per chair which is more than the chairs cost to buy them new today. As a result, I did not have any work performed and am requesting a refund of the amount I paid for both Big Deal coupons which totals $100. When purchasing the Big Deal coupons I had no idea the refinishing cost would be so much. Thank you.

Description of Work: I purchased the deal and contacted the provider about refinishing a piece of furniture. The provide contacted me the next day and explained they do not do touch up work, and I should seek a refund.

Description of Work: We wanted an old piece of furniture refinished. The company gave us an estimate of about $669 to complete the work and also told us it had water damage that is not completely repairable. The furniture is worth maybe $20.

Description of Work: Mr. Haridi, of Antiques and Furniture Restoration, was very responsive and pleasant; however, he doesn't specialize in the restoration work I need done. I would definitely contact him again for other restoration projects.

Description of Work: Haridi had given me an estimate to repair some chairs based on photos that I sent him. Once he saw them in person, he realized that the way they were constructed made it impossible to repair them without destroying the fabric. There was an alternative method, but Haridi could not put his guarantee on it. He spent time explaining how I might go about it myself rather than scrapping or completely refurbishing 8 chairs. Although no work was performed, it is clear that AFR is dedicated to their work and to their customers.

Description of Work: Antiques and Furniture Restoration was very honest and appreciate it. I sent the company photos of my beautiful Bob Mackie table and I was told they would strip the table and re-stain it because that is their process. The design is one of the main reasons I purchased the table and the accidental blemish is too small to destroy it.

Description of Work: I brought my nightstand to Antiques and Furniture Restoration, Inc. for an estimate of the cost to refinish my bedroom nightstand. After carefully looking at the nightstand, the owner stated he wouldn't be able to match the current finish. He was apologetic and sorry that he couldn't help me. He could have used a different finish but I have 3 other pieces of furniture in my bedroom that it needs to match so that wasn't a solution. I request a refund of the $50.00 that was paid through PayPal. Thank you.

They described the process in great detail, however, even with the Big Deal I will have to look elsewhere because the estimate is too high for my budget. I'm sure they do great work - they have a stellar reputation.

Description of Work: I Call the provider servial time before reaching him. I sent pictures of the chars I wanted refinishing. Once him call and stated his price. I told him that the price was too high and I cancelled the order.

They sent an estimate which is more than I feel I can pay. I'm sure they do wonderful work, it's just that it's too expensive for me. No complaints at all with the service/contact from Antiques and Furniture Restoration, Inc.

Description of Work: The work is not completed yet on the first piece of furniture for which I am using my coupon code. The price for the restoration is much higher than I anticipated. Therefore I am opting not to repair my second piece of furniture with the second coupon code since the damaged furniture is not too noticeable. I am asking for a refund of just one of the two coupon codes at this time. I am working with the vendor to repair the first piece of furniture which I am told will take 6 weeks to complete. thanks.

Description of Work: This is the 2nd time I have used this company and once again, the work was excellent! Haridi is a true master of his craft and pays attention to every detail. He even finished the job ahead of the promised schedule!

Description of Work: The company repaired the broken spindles on an old rocking chair. The finished work was perfect; we couldn't even see where the repair was done. They did the work in their shop in Sterling, VA and then delivered the chair to our house in Falls Church, VA on the day promised. The father and son team were very courteous and professional. We will use them again if we have furniture needing repair, and would recommend them to anyone needed furniture repaired and/or refinished, even (or especially) antique furniture.
