They were terrific. It cost me another $300 but it was definitely worth it. They did a great job. He did it quick. He was very nice. He came over and picked up my table because I was not able to transfer it myself. He delivered it to me. The table looks beautiful. It only took two weeks to finish it. A lot of times these things sit in the place and they sit there for six weeks before anything gets finished but he had it finished in nothing flat. I told him if I know anybody, I will certainly recommend him and if I need anything more, I would call him.

The younger Edgar came. Told us some nonsense about a structural problem, which two other contractors scoffed at. Basically he did not want the job. Had another company do it.

I purchased a "big deal" from this company as I had 2 furniture items that had needed repair/restoration for some time. When I called, I happened to reach the owner in his car, and he was able to come by my house almost immediately to view the items and provide an estimate. After moving the items to his workshop and stripping the table, he requested that I come out to select the finish. He took the time to show me several different colors and what they would look like on the table. I am extremely happy with the final result - the table came out beautifully. The chair required upholstery work that he did not do himself, but he arranged for someone else to complete that part of the repair - I was informed in advance that this would be the case - and again, I am very happy with the final result. Both of these items are important to me as they have been in my family for decades. I would certainly use this company again.

Fantastic! The table was a family heirloom but was pretty abused. There was a crack across the top that ran the width of the table and another one forming. Legs were wobbly. The table was 4' x 4' but included 6 leaves. The estimate was similar to another one we had received but the other company didn't return my email as quickly as Haridi, the owner, did. There was a $150 charge for pickup and delivery which we felt was worth it since we didn't have a way of getting it to his shop. They picked up a few days after we accepted their estimate. The very next day Haridi had us come to his shop to see how they would work on the table. They already had the majority of it stripped and we selected a stain color. We were not rushed, he had some ideas but let us choose, we appreciated his advice. All of the employees were very professional and friendly. We were told 6 weeks to finish but Haridi admitted it probably wouldn't take that long. It was done in 3 weeks, delivered today and it is gorgeous! You cannot see the cracks at all, the finish is beautiful---they did a fantastic job! They actually assembled the table in our dining room. Haridi did not ask for a deposit and we paid by credit card today. I would highly recommend their work, the outcome was beyond our expectations.

Mr. Haridi provided an estimate within a day of receiving the photograph of my antique stereo cabinet. He told me that I would get an opportunity to pick out the color of the finish for the cabinet. I was expecting a color sample, but instead he actually removed enough of the current finish to put the samples on the cabinet so that I could see the ACTUAL finish! The work was beautiful and delivered on time to my home. The customer service was superb. Not only do I recommend this vendor, but I was so impressed that I gave them an antique chair to finish when they delivered the stereo cabinet.

He kept me informed every step of the way. He sent pictures via email so I could see how the chair was progressing. He advised me on options and made recommendations. The end result is pure perfection. I highly recommend Antiques and Furniture Restoration for their high end, beautiful work on even the most detailed pieces of furniture. Mr. Haridi is a true artisan who is passionate about his work.

After seeing Mr. Haridi's wonderful reviews on Angie's List, I called him and described the necessary repairs. He suggested I send him photos, so I did. He responded very promptly with a reasonable approximate estimate, so I took the desk to his shop. I knew immediately I'd come to the right place because the shop was full of beautiful antiques in various stages of restoration. After looking at my desk, Mr. Haridi said it was in worse shape than shown in the photos I'd sent him, but nevertheless he wouldn't charge more than the upper end of his initial estimate. He also said he was hesitant to promise me that he could finish the job on the tight schedule I wanted, but that he would try. I was impressed that he was so direct and honest about all this. In the end, he did a beautiful job of repairing the desk, and it was done right on time. I'm very happy with the whole experience, and I recommend Mr. Haridi with no reservations whatsoever.

Based on the reviews on this site and yelp, I decided to have AFR take a look at it and see what could be done. Hamidi, the owner spent a lot of time working me through the options (which weren't all that great based on the locations of the cracks/breakage). He made me feel like he understood that repairing it right and for the long term was the key to doing it at all. He gave me an estimate of 275 bucks to fix it and said it would take a few weeks. When I mentioned that I might be in the area again the next weekend, he said he'd see what he could do. His shop is far from my house so this was a real bonus. I had dropped it off Saturday and by Wednesday I had a call from Hamidi saying it was basically done and he wanted to know if I wanted it for that weekend. He said he wanted to clean it right before I got it, because otherwise it'd get dusty in his shop. I told him I would get it, and went on Saturday. He showed me the repairs and talked me through what they had done and not done. It all was very logical and smartly done. When I went to pay I mentioned a coupon I had seen for his company online. I didn't have it with me, but he gave me the discount anyway (75 bucks) and went on my way. Great service, great work. I'd highly recommend Hamidi and AFR for delicate/antique furniture restoration.

I sent a photo with the damaged spring areas circled (I have a graphic program), the mileage to my house for pick up and delivery, and the dimensions. From the picture and information, I got an estimate of $1500. I supplied the fabric. The estimate was 12 yards, and because I settled on a repeating fabric, I ended up buying 16 (a couple more than updated estimate to be able to cover chairs later.) Because the loveseat needed to be rebuilt, the estimate was 8 weeks, but delivery was sooner. Care was taken to have the repeat match, such as where the cushions met, so the design is continuous. The workmanship is excellent, everything is repaired. I am delighted with the result and the service. I expect to use this company when I do my chairs. Update: I have gone back to them and I still give them an A!

Wonderful experience! I found this company through Angie's list. After reading such great reviews and talking to Haridi on the phone, we took our old desk to be re-finished. The work is beautiful. I am so very pleased. Haridi is very proud of his work and he should be - it shows in the product your receive. After removing everything, we went back to pick a stain. I actually did not know what I wanted but we tested several colors and Haridi talked me through the process. Our desk had seen wear over the years and needed some repair work around the legs and corners. It looks perfect now. Haridi even made sure to save the paper that was stapled on the back - handwritten delivery/ town notes from when the desk was delivered to my grandparents many many years ago! Quite pleased with everything form start to finish.

Brought in the table for an estimate. He gave me a price and the time it would take. When the table was ready to be stained I was asked to come check the repairs and choose the stain. The next week I had my finished nested tables looking absolutely beautiful.

Antiques and Furniture Restoration, Inc. sanded it down and completely refinished it including the Duncan Phife base and made it look like new. They did an excellent job and I was very impressed with their work.

These valuable antiques have been in my family for over 70 years and were most recently in my parent's retirement apartment. They will now go to my daughter after being repaired and refinished. It was a pleasure from the beginning to work with Haridi on this project. His expertise and love of old pieces was evident from the start. He first made an estimate by e-mail after I sent pictures and described the problems, and then examined the pieces personally at my storage facility. His knowledge was extensive and his description of the scope of work was detailed. He picked up the pieces with a promise of updates and a 12 week timeline. It turned out that the sideboard had to be completely taken apart and reglued and repaired. Then refinished to its former glory. Partway through the process, Haridi invited me to his shop to see the work in progress and pick out the stain color, which we did with my daughter through the use of his smart phone! He hand applies and rubs the stain for a beautiful finish. The project was finished on time and as estimated. I look forward to using his services again.

I called him and then emailed pictures of the furniture needing work, came and picked up my furniture, gave me a written estimate for the work on each piece, let me know about how long it would take, let me know when it was time to go pick out the stain for each piece, and delivered it and put each piece where I wanted it. We discussed each piece and the work he'd do very thoroughly when he came to get them; he explained what each needed and my options and what they would cost. I picked out what I wanted and got the written estimate.

Using Angie's List "big deal" I contacted AFR about the 5 chairs mentioned above. The gentleman came to my home, looked at the chairs and described the work he would do on each of them to meet my expectations and his standards. He provided a written price for the work and took the chairs with him in a truck. They were returned in a month which I considered prompt given the amount of work being done. The price was as stated. (I provided the upholstery for the chair needing it.) I was very pleased with all of the work - cosmetic and structural. It has been about one year and the chairs are fine. I hope to call upon AFR again to do similar work on several other antique type chairs and I feel sure good work will be done again.

Hadidi, the owner is a pleasure to deal with. He knows his profession extremely well. I bought a coupon on AL for the first two pieces. I had an end table, small secretary, small table and chair, including reupholstery re-finished. They pick up larger pieces, but I took each item out to his facility. Once they have stripped the furniture, you make another visit to pick out the stain color, and Hadidi works with you on that.

I sent Haridi pictures of the pieces and he provided an estimate, time frame, and a brief description of what needed to be done. I didn't live too far away from the shop so he nicely offered to pick up the furniture. About half way through the process he called to have us come in to pick out stains. He actually put stains on a small area so we could choose. It was fun seeing the pieces stripped down to the original surfaces and sanded. We didn't even recognize them! He called when they were ready and delivered the coffee table to my house and the dressing table to my daughter's home with no additional charge. He was even a couple weeks earlier than his estimate. The pieces are both absolutely beautiful. I never imagined they could look so good. Throughout the process Haridi kept us informed, was very professional, and is just all around a nice man. I would use his services again in a heartbeat!

Had a Living Social or Groupon for spend 100 dollars, get 300 dollars of service. These guys are EXCELLENT. They worked miracles with my 1880 Stickely rocker. The upholstery was beautiful and the wood finish superb.

Dropped off the chair, got an estimate and they took care of the problem perfectly. Accepted their coupon and I was on my way. They do great work.
