The crew did a very good job and left no mess whatsoever. The price was a good value.

Academy came out quickly and completed the work perfectly. What I liked best was not having to be there when they did the work and them trusting me to pay the bill, which they attached to my front door. Price was the most reasonable of three bids I received. I will do business with them again!

The actual service went off without a hitch. They came out when scheduled and finished up the job. Quality was fine as well. The complaint with the company is in the billing. We were referred to the company after they completed a job for my father in law for his driveway at a really reasonable price. We called to request a quote. He gave us a quote of $160 over the phone, which we were happy to take because it was lower than other quotes we had received and already saw the quality of their work. We even wrote down that quote TWICE in two separate places while he was on the phone with us so there was a record. After they completed the job, they slipped a bill for $255 under the doormat, which was an utter surprise. When we tried to call, the owner swore up and down he would never have quoted us $160 and claimed he had previously mailed us a flyer with a quote of $255. That may be, but he knows that wasn't how he attained our business so some supposed flyer that I've never once seen is completely irrelevant. He either genuinely doesn't remember quoting us the $160 or realized after the fact that he had misquoted us but completed the work anyway without communicating with us. He has since dug in his heels and refuses to admit any error or try to work with us in any way. At the end of the day, a $255 price tag isn't completely out the ballpark for the quotes we received, but this feels like a bait & switch and there is absolutely no willingness to accept any fault or try to reach a reasonable resolution. We even told him that he's clearly lost business and referrals here but he has shrugged it off.

I saw that Academy Sealers sealed my neighbor's driveway, and I thought they did a nice job. After checking reviews on Angie's List, I then called Academy, and their crew did the job this morning. I wasn't disappointed. Now, it looks as nice as my neighbor's driveway.

Excellent work. I live in humble Silver Spring where you do not see beautiful driveways like you do in Bethesda or Potomac but the quality of their work makes me proud of my small driveway.

On time crew. Fast and very good- definitely experienced. Direct mail flyer with a specific quote for sealant was convenient. Sealed off driveway after job and told us to wait 24 hrs before use. Client went out a few hrs after the job to inspect area Client noticed footprints and runoff in a corner. Client called Academy Sealers. Professional and calming staff. They asked that I wait 24 hrs then if visible problem areas appeared I could email photo/s. Next day I called again and was asked to send photos. Email reply came fast. Highly recommend this company for their fine client service and prompt delivery. I would highly recommend them! Their sales management staff, crew and equipment are top notch.

They did a great job. We have a really long driveway. They were timely, did the job really well and were gone. The price was very reasonable given the length of our driveway. Highly recommend them.

Asked them to seal our asphalt driveway. Very happy with the result. Will definitely use them again.

The appointment was very easy to make. Academy agreed to do both driveways (in different parts of Northern Virginia) on the same day and to collect payment and provide the receipt for both driveways at my residence.. They showed up on schedule and did a very professional job. They did not leave any mess and blocked the driveway neatly. The receipt was where I asked them to leave it. I definitely would use them again.

They called to reschedule when the weather was predicted to be bad,then they came on time as scheduled, did an excellent job as far as we can see, and left the premises clean

Academy came out as promised twice to seal my driveway. The first time they did a textbook perfect job. However, a rain storm that evening and the next 4 day did not allow the seal to dry. I called the and told them about the rain and they volunteered to reseal the driveway. They did this on Sunday, May 15, 2016. The only reason I did not give an excellent rating this time is because they did not refill the cracks the way they did the first time. They only did a re-application of the sealer. I assumed that they had a backlog of work due to all of the rain and therefore did not take the same amount of time they did the first time. Other than that omission, I am very satisfied.

I made an appointment, they didn't come when they said they would come, and then they showed up several days later unannounced. I was satisfied with the quality. They said they had me on schedule for the day that they came, which was inaccurate.

Selected Academy Sealers based on Angie's List reviews. Made appointment over phone. Crew showed up slightly early on appointed day. They were fast and efficient, so much so that they left for their next job before I got the check out to them. It got mailed in. The job was done very well, making sure to keep my wife's brick liners free from tar. It was way much better than what I had done last year by a Manassas outfit, also on Angie's List. My only problem is that I wish the person I called for the job had mentioned a more extensive treatment which would have filled in some cracks, instead of just applying the sealer. This is not a complaint.

Prompt in scheduling,on time arrival at job site,- a neat , efficient and experienced resealing job- quick response to seal a very small area missed initially and partially hidden by fencing. This is the second time we have used this service and would highly recommend them and will use their service again when needed. Office staff is very helpful, responsive and informative .

These guys did a really nice job. I had to contact them with some questions, and they were responsive. Email and phone, I got someone every time on the first try and they responded right of way. Treated me like my business mattered. I had to get them to come back around and touch up a few areas, which they did. All said and done, the driveway looks great, and at a good price. Well worth saving the time and hassle of trying to do it yourself. What I like about them is that you don't have to be home for them to do the work.

I have used Academy Sealers before. We arranged for our driveway to be sealed while we were on vacation, so as to allow it time to adequately dry. Note that most of my neighbors also use Academy Sealers. When we returned home, I carefully inspected the job and found it to be just excellent--no run-overs, no empty spots, and a smooth even surface. I will use them again.

Perfect! We hired them after another vendor refused to show - TWICE - These folks came early in the window that they provided. I stepped out to see if they wanted a drink or something and they were already gone. That was super duper fast. Will certainly be using them again and will tell everyone in our neighborhood to use them and not the other vendor we have used for years who failed us. We will be using Academy Sealers again!

Two men arrived on time and swiftly sealed the driveway, cleaned up after themselves and left. Job was well done!

The driveway was in good condition when they did it the first time, but they could offer no reason why the coating did not hold up. Thjey came back willingly and the sealing was better thie second time, but the driveway still doesn't look very good.

On time and good work. But they didn't give us the neighborhood discount since we didn't have the work done the same day as all our neighbors.
