They were friendly, professional, punctual, and did a great job.

The handyman prepared a closet area that had been damaged by A/C problems. I will need to have some paint the area but the closet area is fine. I spoke with owner on Saturday and the work was performed on Wednesday, slight mix-up with time, but everything else was fine. My son was visiting on Sunday and he was impressed with work as well. Thanks Angie, I love your service and deals. I only wished I had joined you in January I know I would have received quality service and saved the headaches I have experienced since January.

Our ceiling had issues from a bad remodel and Shulton was able to improve the look. The only issue I had was that I paid for three hours but they were only there for two. I'm not sure I should expect them to make a separate trip to come out and sand but I would have liked an option to maybe purchase another hour or two so it MIGHT be worth their time. In general, I struggle to know what is worth their time and what is not.

The job had to be done twice. The first attempt was lack luster. The worker left a large gap above the mantle and the seams were raised. To his defense, it wasn't an easy job because the wall behind it was brick and was not even. I had to argue with the owner to get him back out to fix the issue. Once his business partner came out and looked at the job, he immediately noticed that the job was not done properly the first time. He personally came out to tear out what was done prior and replace it. The second job turned out great. The proper spacers were used between the brick and drywall and there were no raised seams. We were pleased with the end result.

Overall things went well. Shulton came out and provided an estimate for the service (came it at 4 hours for $365). We purchased a big deal for 3 hours of work ($130 for the coupon through angie's list). The quality of the work is good (the ceiling is level and the drywall was sanded so that I could easily paint it myself) but I have two minor qualms about the experience. First, the technician didn't get here in the 1 hour window that we agreed to when setting up the repair. I contacted Shulton and they assured me that the technician was on the way. In the end he was 90 minutes late which wasn't a big deal since I was working from home but could have been an issue in a different context. Second, the estimate that Shulton provided significantly overstated the amount of time that the repair would take. The technician worked for about 1.5 hours, which is nearly 2.5 hours less than the hours and price that was originally quoted to me. If I had paid the $365 originally estimated I would have been pretty upset unless they prorated the charge (which they might have I don't know). That said, I am happy with the service because I only paid $130n and I got exactly what I needed in terms of the repair. If I use them again (I hope that my roof doesn't have any more leaks!!!) I will just make sure that I understand their billing policies better in terms of whether they will prorate their bill if the estimate overstated the amount of time needed to complete the job.

Victor and Shulton responded to my request for an estimate quickly and set reasonable expectations. As the project progress, I requested a few addition sub projects which and Ed and his team knocked out quickly with a can do attitude. They were always please positive and cleaned up. I purchased the deal for 3 hours of drywall for $130. In short, the quality of the work was great, but the serviceman was slow in his work. He repaired the bare minimum of what I was hoping he would accomplish. I was told they would bring additional supplies (extra drywall) should I not have it on hand, but they did not. Fortunately I was able to scrounge up enough so that a trip to Lowes (on my time) was averted. Lastly, I was also told they would likely charge me for a bag of quick dry joint compound, which has not happened. All in all, I'm satisfied, but given the speed at which the guy worked, it would not be economical for me to hire them again (vs. doing the work myself).

Scheduling was prompt. Crew arrived on time as scheduled. Preformed work with appropriate attention and proper care. Cleaned up the work area. Courtesy and professional throughout.

They were good. They did a nice job. It was good value for the amount of work they did. They just did the Big Deal and that was it. They came out within less than five days after deal purchase. They were quite timely in their response. They responded once we bought the big deal right away. They got us on the schedule almost immediately. I mean I think we bought the big deal within inside a week the whole thing was done. They came when they said they were going to come during the day so they were sort of accurate as to their timeline and they did the work in two hours. I know the only thing my wife was here there was a little bit of language barrier, but otherwise it was good. I would use them again in the future.

It worked out great. There was no delay at all. They did exactly what we asked for. The job they did was good but their communication was also great as far as responding immediately to the "Big Deal" and the dates that I put on that were available. The communication was great also.

Arnoldo came and did a great job patching a very substantial crack in my drywall near a corner of the wall. He was very precise and now there is no sign of the crack and the patch is so smooth I almost don't even have to paint over the patch. He did offer to paint it, but I did not have the color paint on hand. It was a great experience and I would hire Shulton Painting & Drywall again.

Shulton came to repair drywall in the basement ceiling. They discovered a pipe leakage that needed to be repaired first. I then engaged a general contractor to do the repairs, as well as other work that needed doing. I paid Shulton for the service call.

The work went very well. They did a very professional job. We only needed less than three hours worth of work. The delay was due to me because I wanted to be at home when they come to do the work. They were on time. Their employee was very courteous and professional.

It worked out fine. The gentleman that did came over did an excellent job. We are very happy about it. They came in at the appointed time promptly and they did a nice job. I would use them again in the future if we needed.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out very well. That they were detail oriented, showed up on time and completed everything requested.

They arrived as expected - on time They did the job we expected for the 4 man hours. They did a fine job. Although we felt his estimate for finishing the job was excessive.

Went pretty well. Bought the 120 deal and they basically missed the appointment. Called and they sent a team of three later that afternoon. It worked alright, but with three guys it was a bit hard to work all at the same time, so it was a little wasteful of my 4 hours. Yet, they tried to do more than I even requested and were fairly clean ( some dust left behind from sanding). Overall though, good quality work. The B rating is more due to too many men ( wish they would scope out a job before sending folks) and the missed time slot.

They did a nice job. I asked them to do one small other thing which was to fix some nail pops in the bedroom. I thought the price was fair.

The two men arrived on time and worked hard and spent about 15 minutes more than the 4 man hours. We had more to do than could be accomplished in the time (which was fine) BUT they left some areas that still needed to be sanded and left a 4 inch glob of drywall that fell from the ceiling on one of the walls, which was not being repaired. They worked hard BUT they left 'splatters' of drywall compound all around the rooms and splattered it from the ceiling onto the walls so we ended up having to paint spots on the walls because of the ceiling repair?!? Then they asked for $15 for supplies, which were supposed to be covered by the Angie's list Big Deal. "This Offer Includes: Up to four man-hours of drywall or plaster repair Labor and inexpensive supplies such as tape and spackle." When i complained to the manager, he said that the deal "coupon only covers inexpensive materials (Approximately no more than $5 dollars worth of materials)" He said that they used a bag of "easy sand compound" 4 man hours should be enough to repair some drywall but when 2 men work for 2 hours, it means that the compound hasn't had time to dry, so they leave the sanded undone. My expectation is that 'drywall' repair should leave the walls 'paint ready' which these were definitely not. i was a bit disappointed but overall they accomplished the tough work above the stairs and in the bathroom.
