I was satisfied with the installation. I have been using them for several years. Overall, most visits have been good. They get a B on this one because they did have to come back out and make a correction. They did not charge me at all for the follow-up. I keep using them because they did the maintenance in my previous system and I was always satisfied with that service. First of all, it was an older system. They serviced this for several years and I did not have any problem. The system was over 20-years old. I am going to give them some credit for keeping me up and running. Then, they were prompt, on time, and I thought they were reasonably priced. Overall, they have been servicing me for five years.

It was perfect. They arrived 20 minutes early. Very friendly technicians. Removed the old unit and installed the new one. At the end, provided information about the equipment. Very impressed with them.

I contacted the owner Kirk for an estimate for an airflow issue on the third (top level) of our townhouse as well as an error message on our thermostat. It was cold in the winter and very hot in the summer and no airflow at all. Kirk was prompt and arrived on time. Kirk offered a solution to our problem, that didn't involve a lot of work or building additional bulkheads. At that point we had contacted at least two other companies that provided estimates but no clear solution or guarantee. Hearing certainty in the solution he offered, was reassuring. We spoke over the phone with him several times to make sure that all parties involved were clear on cost and expectations. He came out and started the job. We had a communication issue because he left the job a little earlier and delegated the rest to his crew. The job was not completed because the bathroom vents were not installed. They however didn't get instruction on that because Kirk didn't think we were decided on the bathroom vents. They left and asked my boyfriend to call the office for questions or to schedule the bathroom vent work. We asked that they complete the job before we remit payment. We were back on forth about that for a week or so and eventually we had a discussion with Kirk and all was resolved. They came out, installed the vents, hence completing the job and we remitted payment the day of completion. The job was completed to our satisfaction and the third floor has perfect airflow and there is no error message! We are really glad that we chose this company and their expertise. We realized a couple of weeks after completion and remitting payment that there was a small section that was not completed. We contacted Kirk and that same week he sent someone out and it was taken care of. Kirk is busy but he has a great customer-oriented team behind him (his sisters pam, vicki and a gentleman that I didn't get a name). Even if the answering service is on, I have always received a timely response from them. He usually doesn't go into the office till the evening because he is out in the "field" during the day. They print out messages and leave them in his inbox. they have a system and seem to be organized. Our only issue and perhaps that main issue was that it would have been helpful for him to check with the us before he left to go to his next scheduled appointment or to delegate someone from the crew to do a walk-through of sorts to make sure that expectations were met. Other than minor hiccups in communication, the final result is great and we couldn't be happier. Kirk is definatley very knowledgable in his trade and has a great crew .

The service technician was efficient and cordial. The repairs were completed quickly. This has been our experience with Shanahan's during the past decade. Will certainly call them first for future needs.

Air conditioner failed and could no longer be recharged. We did our research and met with 4 vendors from Angie's List for new install of AC and furnace. Although close, Shanahan's came out a bit better than others in all areas. From day we first saw them until the install was completed was 9 days. Didn't try to sell us anything extra and even discouraged us from annual service (5 years instead) for our particular units. Very thorough instructions after work completed. Owner of company came out as crew was about 3/4 way through project - evaluated work, checked on our satisfaction and answered all our questions.

We've used them twice and they're great. We'd use them consistently in the future. They were on time. The did the little repairs or checking the system that we needed. The bill was reasonable I thought. I felt like they were fast and reasonable. They are dependable. They knew what they were doing.

Great. They took a thorough look and cleared us as running smoothly. Never any phony high pressure upsetting for repairs that aren't needed as is he case with many of their competitors. Honest, skilled and technicians are always a pleasure to work with.

After the first warm spell in late April, we found that the A/C wasn't cooling as expected. We called Shanahan's for spring tune-up service. As with all good HVAC companies, they were very busy at the end of April. The Tech arrived on schedule and checked out the system. He found two major parts had failed; the condenser fan motor and the main circuit board in the air handler. He ran an errand to buy parts and returned quickly. He installed the parts and tested the system. It ran great. It continues to run as deisgned and provide excellent cooling. The entire process, from scheduling to repair, was handled very professionally. I've used Shanahan before and I'll use them again.

It was excellent. They were able to respond right away. It was kind of an emergency and they came out within an hour of being called. The price for the service call and materials was reasonable. I suppose there might be better prices out there, but our main motivation is the swiftness of response and quality of service which are both necessary. The quality of their service was excellent, and they were right on time.

I was very impressed with Shananhan's service. My airconditioner was not working -- warm air was coming out of the vent. I was afraid it was going to be a big job and hot weather was on it's way. However, it turned out to be a simple fix and Shananhan did not over charge me.

I can't say enough good stuff about Shanahan. They were able to fit me in quickly during one of their busiest times of year. The technician (Hevert) was totally professional and very personable. He was friendly while being very focused and efficient. He identified the problem right away and initiated the repair. And, the price was very reasonable. We will use them whenever we have the need, large or small. Highly recommended!!!!!

No problems. The cost of service includes servicing two units (one gas hot air/central air unit and one heat pump) twice a year. No problems with the servicing of the units.

Team was excellent. Very professional, very thorough. I first talked with Kirk Shanahan about what water heater I should get and to get an estimate. He was very responsive and informative and his team came out to do the work within a few days meeting my needs.

Our HVAC had refrigerant leaks in both the inside and outside units. The service technician provided quotes to repair or replace. Replacement seemed like the best option for us based on the fact that the refrigerant for our unit is phased out by the EPA and a replacement would need to occur anyway in the near future if further maintenance was required. Installation was scheduled for 1 week out. The installation crew arrived right on time on the scheduled day. They were efficient and left a clean workspace. All of our interactions with the service and installation technicians were professional and honest. The workers even took the time to have a conversation with my 3 year old as I was taking him out of the door to school. This is my second time using Shanahan's. I would definitely hire them again in the future.

Very smoothly. Kirk the owner gave some very helpful suggestions, and very honest - never tried to up-sell any product or service. Once I put the order in, the crew was punctual, courteous and worked very quickly. Cleaned up after themselves, and explain everything about the new system. Overall very happy with these guys. Highly recommend.

We have a contract with them and they take care of any problems. The fellow who came out was excellent. He thoroughly cleaned the machines and told us how bad they were from the other company we had used. We always ask for the same repairman for the maintenance.

came in as scheduled and did great job with the work. Very neat and the job itself was very professional. Have used for heating and they have always been fantastic and looks like they are the same with water heaters.

They are wonderful. We have service contract with them. After we had a whole new unit put in then we didn’t have to have a service contract for four years and it is the best thing that we like about them. We had another one that came in and he said that we had to have the whole unit replaced and it would cost $20,000. First of all whole new unit doesn’t cost $20,000 and we just couldn’t believe it. Then somebody recommended Shanahan’s and they came in and said that it didn’t need anything and it was fine. Then they started with a service contract that we paid every year which was reasonable. Then they also said that we didn’t have to do anything for at least ten more years. We really trust what they say and they are reasonable. We got their name from a neighbor. They are just so nice.

Kirk and everyone at Shanahan's was very professional and personable. They had to come to my home several times due to my need to install the water heater and the gas furnace at different times. Kirk was very informative explaining what products would suit me best based on my usage and needs. He never tried to sell me anything he felt I didn't need and even made recommendations that were practical and helped me cut costs. Kirk was also very accommodating in removing my existing oil tank for several hundred dollars less than it would have cost me to have it removed by another company. Vicky, Kirk's wife, is also very friendly on the phone and accommodating helping me with scheduling, requests and the paperwork to submit for rebate. I will be using Shanahan's for any future maintenance. Highly recommend!

My experience went very well. The staff was professional and knowledgeable in their field. The pricing was reasonable and I would recommend this company to others.

Service technician showed up on time and performed an inspection and cleaning. The cleaning was not quite what I had expected, but I ended up discussing with Mr. Shanahan, who was very nice and understanding, and refunded me part of my money because of the miscommunication. Shanahan's is a top-notch company and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Thank you!

Shanahan's is the best contractor we have EVER had. Knowledgeable, professional, not trying to increase the cost, and returns phone calls. We asked the cost of zone heating, and Kirk said we really did not need it, we could just adjust our many dampers twice a year. I have never worked with a better contractor, Kirk and his whole crew were fantastic. In addition, the furnace they installed is great. I did not expect to get much personal enjoyment from spending $8,000 on HVAC but our house is much warmer, the furnace is quiet, and the temperatures between floors (we have a split-level house with no insulation in the walls or attics) is MUCH more even. Just a great experience.
