The owner called me back quickly, was very polite and informative. A repairman came quickly and was able to fix the issue.

They're very prompt in responding. All the service people they have sent have been very professional and hard workers. In fact, the person who installed the unit wound up staying longer because he ran into a few issues, but the cost did not go up. He actually did a lot of work for the price that we paid which I felt was extremely reasonable. He worked very long until the evening to get our air conditioning to work right. It took him about seven hours to get the job done. He did not complain about anything. He really worked hard in installing. My husband and I were impressed that he stuck around and got it to work and it has been working right. He was a really nice guy and a very hard worker. He was really good. I've used them for four times in the past and I recommended them to friends already. I've never had an issue with them trying to pull a fast one on me or anything. They've been upfront about everything. I think they're honest. They're good priced.

Their always on time, same guy comes every time his name is Larry, we know Larry and he just comes in and does it never charges us for anything we don't need, they never pull that you need a new such and such as forty nine dollars I happen to have one they never do. They do exactly what they say they are going to do. We only know Larry and he's efficiency and he's on time all the time and if fact he'll go underneath the house into certain places and my husband goes in with him just so he can understand what Larry is doing and Larry in visits him in he says you want to come in with me I'll show you what I'm doing.

I called ACE and they told me it would be $5,000 in order to fix the issue. The next day I called Shanahan's and they came out and said we didn't need a new anything. They just replaced something for $25.00 and it was fine. We dumped ACE and went with the annual contract with Shanahan's They're always on the ball. Larry is efficient and always on time.

Shanahan's answered the phone promptly and was able to schedule service for the following day. The technician called me to let me know when he was on the way and arrived on the early side of the service window I was given. He was thorough in examining my water heater and identified an electrical short after eliminating a few more common problems. After fixing the wiring, he advised me on some routine maintenance I could perform to extend the life of the water heater. No parts were replaced, so the cost of the service was labor only - it seemed a little on the high side but within the normal range (and certainly cheaper than having to replace the entire water heater).

This is a family owned business and they do not subcontract their work out. This company is top notch. The owner, Kirk, is very hands on and he makes sure that all the work performed is perfect. Every person that I have had dealings with on his staff have always been very accommodating, friendly, extremely talented, trustworthy and professional. Kirk is very honest and his pricing is fair. His company has done a lot of work for us and we find that the work is always timely, professional and very exact. It has been a pleasure working with this company and we will continue to use them in the future. I have used a lot of contractors and this company is the best by far.

Heat pump stopped working Sat night. After I checked and could not find the problem I called Shanahan's Sunday afternoon. I declined the offer of emergency service since I could run heating on emergency backup. Shanahan's called me early Monday morning. About 15 minutes later tech called me to say he was on his way. I have been using Shanahan's for over five years and believe their responsiveness and quality of service outstanding.

Our air conditioning broke and they came out the next day. They had that fixed within an hour and noticed another problem. They said it was a wasn't an emergency but it needed to be fixed. They gave us a quote for it and rescheduled.

When they came out to do the job, they realized that it was worse than what they thought it was. They showed up on time and were extremely professional. I have nothing but wonderful things to say.

All services were performed to our satisfaction. I had a hard time finding someone willing to do the duct work. They were able to fit us in when we were available which was very helpful. We had purchased a thermostat for them to install but the technician explained why that thermostat was incompatible with our heating/air conditioning system. I was very pleased that they could look at the dryer vent when that wasn't part of the agreed upon services up front. Another company had been out twice to clean but I was still having problems with the vent. They found a blockage in the vent and cleaned it out and didn't charge me any extra for this service. I will definitely be calling on them again for additional duct work and HVAC needs!

My family has used Shanahan's for years. And when I needed an HVAC service, I turned to them as well. When I asked for a price quote for the installation, I was given an estimate of $75 LESS than another competitor. Needless to say, I stayed with Shanahan's. The HVAC guy arrived on time, efficiently and correctly installed the new thermostat, and was very friendly and professional. And the cost was exactly as quoted. In the future I will not even bother to get any other estimates. I am sticking with Shanahans.

I was very pleased with them. They followed up with a call recently, just to make sure that my AC unit was working correctly, now that it's getting warmer.

I have an annual contract with them. They are timely and well trained. They leave the area tidy when they are done. They are competent.

The job went well. Shanahan's arrived on time and did a pre-winter cleaning and check of the gas furnace. I have used Shanahan's before and am happy with their service.

This is one of the best experience we have had with a contractor. We had oil heating and wanted to do a gas conversion. We had 4 contractors coming to gave us an estimate. The other contractors are all highly rated and fine. But we feel most comfortable with Shanahan. Kurt, the owner, is very professional and trust worth. He gave us an reasonable estimate and help us filled out all the paperwork with Washington Gas. Once the meter is installed by Washington Gas, Shanahan run the gas pipe into our house and have them inspected by the county. We had a quarter of tank of oil (about $300 worth oil) left in the tank, we would like to use the oil up before switch to Gas furnace. Kurt accommodated us on this. He put us on a tentative schedule and told us they could come to install the furnace once the oil is used up on an emergency basis. They did just that. They came back a week later to install the gas water heater and took away all the old equipment and our 275 gallon oil tank. They even took away my old grill for free. The technicians are very professional and neat. Overall it is a very pleasant experience.

Having been happy with Shanahan's service and pricing from a prior project they were at the top of the list when we needed to find a contractor to install a whole house air purifier. We got quotes from other contractors but Shanahan's had the lowest estimate and since we were happy with their prior work we decided to hire them again. After a lot of research, I decided on a very specific purifier. Shanahan's admitted they didn't usually work with that particular manufacturer but said they could do the job. On the scheduled appointment, the guys showed up on time and did a pretty good job installing the purifier (it was a very tight fit) but unfortunately they couldn't get it to work because the unit was dead on arrival. For this, I don't fault Shanahan's at all -- a bad part from a supplier can happen to anyone. However, Shanahan's dropped the ball on following up. It was my impression that Shanahan's had no sense of urgency to track down the replacement parts under a warranty claim to the supplier. At first I gave them the benefit of the doubt because they said the supplier was not very responsive but Shanahan's deserved some blame as well. Every week I'd call for a status and every time I got a different story (...."supplier not responsive",...."we received the wrong parts",...."so-and-so ordered the wrong parts, so we needed to place a new order"....). I'd say it was close to two months before Shanahan's returned to swap out the bad parts. The icing on the cake was when Shanahan's tried to charge me for an extra service call for their return visit to install the replacement parts. When I questioned the bill the office lady became combative and argued with me. I don't normally leave bad reviews but that experience left such a bad taste I felt compelled to write one.

We had a fairly new oil burning furnace and needed it converted to gas burning furnace. Mr. Shanahan was one of the few that really knows how to do it. We talked with 3 who were qualified in the area but Mr. Shanahan impressed us with his knowledge and experience. His charges seemed fair. A year later we are still doing fine with the furnace -- we haven't had any trouble and the conversion, from my standpoint, seemed to go fine. I believe that Shanahan's is also doing our service contract.

Both times they were very responsive, prompt, professional, took care of the problem, and were reasonably priced even for a weekend "emergency" call.

The work was top notch. These guys know what they are doing and their pricing is fair. Because they are so busy, they can be a little tough to get hold of and schedule, but the effort is well worth it. Throughout the entire process, they did what they said they would do. I couldn't be happier.
