Description of Work: Shanahan's Heating and Cooling replaced the furnace that I had for over 40 years. They came and assessed the problem when I lost heat in my house. My furnace was replaced the next day and they did a very professional job. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: Shanahan's installed out gas (unvented) fireplace in 2009, I think. They did a great job and we've had them come and service it at least four times. Knowledgeable, friendly, timely--we like them a lot. They do other services in the neighborhood, but we've always used another company.

Description of Work: Installed a new gas hot water heater, fireplace gas logs, furnace humidifier, gas stove, laundry sink, and gas line to an auxiliary generator. Kirk Shanahan and his team are absolutely first rate at what they do and provide outstanding plumbing and HVAC services at a fair price. Kirk is 100% "hands on" and personally responds to you questions and calls. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone who needed plumbing or HVAC services.

Description of Work: In the middle of the coldest, snowiest day we had, my furnace went out. I called Shanahans and they installed a new furnace and air conditioner for me. They were responsive, polite, and efficient. They were recommended to me by my two neighbors who use them regularly. The price was very competitive and they did a SUPER job. I wouldn't use anyone else for my heating and air conditioning work.

Description of Work: Shanahan's Heating and Cooling is absolutely the best HVAC company I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. This family owned and operated business is the epitome of small business in America. From my first contact with their after-hours answering service, prompt return call from their on call emergency technician, follow up by their office staff, and the professionalism and courtesy demonstrated by their technicians during one of the busiest periods of the year, I felt like I was treated like their most important customer. After living in Fairfax County for 18 years and dealing with at least 6 different HVAC companies, I've finally found a company that I believe is unequalled in all around professionalism, quality and cost. Mr. Kirk Shanahan, his family and crew were a pleasure to work with and left my wife and me with a much welcomed appreciation for their caring, people first and value oriented business; ethical values worth well beyond the cost of merely replacing equipment.

Description of Work: After two other repair businesses had misdiagnosed problems in my heating and cooling system, they quickly determined the problem and the solution. In addition, they moved my outside system away from the stucco wall which was deteriorating because it was too close. They adjusted the timing of their efforts to my schedule. Excellent service.
