We got 7 estimates, and they were the best price. Plus, they were willing to negotiate on price, which some other companies were not willing to do. Kirk negotiated with us directly. He was professional and polite. They scheduled the replacement promptly. Workers came on time and finished on time as well. I highly recommend Shanahan.

I had called two other companies based on Angie's List recommendations (H. Hottel and another one) and they were pretty abrupt and brisk when I asked questions, which turned me off. The phone call to Shanahan's was a pleasant surprise - the woman fielding the call was very nice and informative and I was able to make an appointment for 2 days later. I even had to call back because we couldn't do the 8am-12pm window and she accommodated a 9am-12pm window without a problem. The service person gave me a 45 minute call ahead and was on time when I got there. He was very thorough (even climbing up through an attic crawl space without a great ladder) and assured me that the system was working well and gave me tips on how to make it more efficient (just hosing it down outside). He didn't try to sell me on any repairs or upgrades, which I appreciated. Overall a very good experience - I'll certainly sign up for maintenance with them.

Excellent. He came a little early, and went over both. Turns out both were ok with a little work, so he told us they were ok with a little maintenance. Told us a better way to install filters so they would be more effective. I don't know what he did, but both heat pump and furnace are working much more efficiently now. He just left an invoice - didn't expect to be paid on the spot. Great service, great price, great job.

He did a great job. Because of the heat wave they were so busy that he came around 8:00 PM and stayed until he finished his job and more just telling me important extra things about my A/C. It's a small family owned company and they are very thorough in what they do.

These guys did a great job of removing my old A/C unit and then installing the new one perfectly. They were professional and very concerned with making the job as simple as possible and with making sure that the new unit was fully operational quickly since it's summer.

After a bad experience with a previous company, I called these guys and they did the entire job correctly the first time. They put the right filter on and fixed the leaks on my unit. I highly recommend them. They were very professional and quick.

They were very cooperative. I called on Tuesday, they gave me a quote on Wednesday and then did the work on Thursday. It was 102 degrees outside and 96 inside so it was very nice that they were prompt in responding.

Kirk, the owner and a Trane dealer, returned my call within a day and arranged to meet with my husband and I the following morning. We were without A/C for 8 days during a July heat spell while we did research on systems and gathered quotes. He was our last quote of 4 and I'm glad we decided to get one more! He was extremely knowledgeable, down to earth, and gave the lowest quote (others were few hundred more). The work was scheduled in 3 days during the busy season and Kirk showed up with his crew on time. Within a few hours, the system was installed and clean-up completed. He went over operation of system and maintenance with us in detail. He also amazed us by bringing to our attention and fixing "on the spot" a problem with our plumbing (no trap in drain for added 1/2 bath). I was so thankful because we could not identify source of a sewer odor problem in the house for some time--solved! Kirk was my hero that day and I can't say enough about his service and professionalism!

Called Shanahan's to give my furnace an annual checkup. Got an appointment the next week, which was fine, since there was no urgency. The representative came on time, checked out the system and didn't find anything wrong.

They squeezed us in on short notice, which was very helpful considering how hot it was that day. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it within a couple of hours. The representative was very professional and the price was reasonable.

Heatpump not working. Called Shanahan's on a Tuesday morning and was told they were extremely busy and it would be several days before they could come out, but as I moved up the list they would contact me and let me know where I stood. I told them I needed a half hour notice at work and I could meet the service person at my home. As promised, they contacted me on two occasions to let me know the status. On Thursday afternoon they called and said Kirk could be at my house in 45 minutes. He arrived early, quickly evaluated the problem and repaired the heatpump. He was very pleasant and answered all my questions.

Kirk was very knowledgeable and advised me to get the variable speed heating unit and high performance 14 SEER A/C. The crew was efficient and very professional. They even relocated the outside AC unit without any extra cost. Because the work was done in October, they came back in April to do final adjustments on the A/C, again without cost. Their price was also several thousand lower than their competitors. I also like that I can talk to the actual people that will work on my house rather than some foreman in an office somewhere.

They gave a us one of the best quotes for the job and we liked their staff. They even called us to schedule the free follow up check of the new system rather than waiting for us to do it.

They are just terrific, they had to go under the house and it took about 6 men to haul out the old furnace. They had to come back out because of a animal that had destroyed the new vent pipe under the house that went from the floor vent to the new furnace, they came out and replaced it with metal piping to prevent this from happening again. They are always willing to come out when I have any problems.

Estimate was 57% of competitor's (ARS). Technician was late for leak trace due to circumstances beyond his control, but workers were early for replacement, completed work promptly and were pleasant, cleaned up after selves and removed all old equipment. I would definitely use this company again.
