Our air conditioner broke on the first hot day of the summer. Service Works was able to schedule us for an appointment the next day. The technician thought the problem was a refrigerant leak and recommended that he put a dye in the system that would, after a few days, show where the system was leaking. We followed his recommendation and it turned out that he was correct. When he came back a few days later he found the leak and fixed it. The air conditioner has been working fine ever since. The only annoying thing is that, in addition to billing for the labor and materials, they charged us twice just to show up, even though the second visit was a direct follow-up on the first. Still, none of these guys are come cheap, and overall, we were satisfied.

It was super easily scheduling a time through email and online, they showed up on time and there were no issues installing the water heater. No complaints.

When I originally made the appointment I was told I would get an all-around expert who had been doing these kind of checkups for years and years, and this person would be able to give me a little insight on how to track down a plumbing issue. I guess that particular guy must have been busy, for they sent me a young guy who seemed new at the job. He did a wonderful job, so I'm not complaining about that, but I could just tell that he didn't have the wealth of experience that I would have needed in order to get the insight I was after. Example: new guy took a while to figure out how much to estimate for the cost of replacing the little loopy pipe under the sink. He went to the truck and was there like twenty minutes to come up with a ridiculously high estimate ( over $500) to replace part of a pipe that was oozing black goop. Then, I asked him how much to replace a toilet tank; he said over a thousand dollars... that it was *very* expensive to replace an entire toilet. Told me that the materials they use are far superior to those that you can find at Home Depot and sort of frowned when I said I do lots of stuff myself (like fix my own flapper). I walked away with the thought that I should never think I can do stuff myself, and if I hit the lottery maybe I can afford a new toilet. Fast forward to the Costco trip where I met an old couple who, as I longingly looked at the brand new toilet on sale for $200, told me it was super-easy to put in your own toilet and that they did it themselves in under an hour. I went home, googled it, you-tubed it, and learned how to install my own toilet and today I am the proud owner of TWO new toilets that installed myself (with the help of my teenage son) for $500 for both. SO, in short, this company is fine, but please just let them do the heavy lifting and take care of the little stuff yourselves.

The crew arrived on time to do plumbiing inspection and change water heater. They had to turn off the gas in order to replace the water heater. They turned back the gas on to check if stove and firplace was working. Our fireplace which was working the night before would not light up. They asked extra $350.oo to replace something in the fireplace. They left without starting the fireplace since we didn't want to pay extra.

Tech was prompt and very open to explaining to me what he was doing when I asked, and he even fixed a minor problem that wasn't initially on his list of things to check. Did this at no extra charge.

Very responsive and was honest about which repairs truly needed to be done.

Very professional, arrived on time, explained the service and results. I felt assured the heating system would perform at peak performance thropugh the winter

I called and spoke to Rich. We were able to confirm the type of water heater I needed without a home visit which was great. No nickel and diming, just straight talk, which I truly appreciated since I had gotten several quotes that were outrageous. I was able to get the work scheduled within two business days. The two persons who came to do the work were punctual and did a great job and cleaned up after the work was done. I am very pleased and would use them again.

My water heater was leaking and I had recently subscribed to Angies list so I started to look for companies. I had seen an Angie List Big Deal with Service Works but it wasn't exactly what I needed so I called them directly to discuss an estimate. We agreed on a date and time and they showed up early, they did a great job cleaning up and am happy with the unit so far. I also changed my order prior to them arriving and they were able to work with me on the price. I would highly recommend them- very professional and did a nice job cleaning up the area..

Wow. Excellent Service and very fair price. From the first phone call to the job finish, the owner, manager and the service technition were knowledgable, clear, professional, courteous and kinda fun. Clearly, Service Works LLC enjoys customer satisfaction. The owner answered the phone first and guided us to the website while discussing our water heater options. Then the manager nicely called after I had written a note to the company on Angie's List due to a slight technical issue in online service ordering. No problem. The manager said that the owner keeps in contact with him and they would both be aware of our service request today. Then the owner called back to say that he had dispatched his plumber who was on-call for the weekend. Then the Service Technician called to explain where he was located at the time, that he would pick up our new water heater and gave an approximate time of arrival. A very smooth operation. We were a bit nervous because it was Saturday morning, that we would be "gouged" for the emergency. The fact is that they earned the bit of extra it costs for weekend service. Everything went very well and we knew they would take care of the problem with no further stress on our part. They understood how crazy it gets when the water heater has a leak and the homeowner needs to decide who to call and which unit to buy. I felt like they were my brothers who would take care of me. Dave was on time. He was courteous, knowledgable about the water heater (old and new), and he was thoughtful to ask about the path in our home to take for removal of the old water heater and then bringing in the new one. He explained to us the problem with water corrosion and how to maintain the new model, a Bradford White. He answered our questions about insulating the unit (don't need to, it is already insulated on the inside) and the how and when of drain & fill, and the frequency of anode replacement. I found each member of the Service Works team to be very personable and helpful. We will call them for our next project (I put their sticker on the new unit), and highly recommend that you give them a call when you need help with any of their services.

We were so pleased with the service that we have already scheduled with them again for tomorrow! They were very informative, shared information and they were very kind and professional!

I called on Friday night when we discovered that the water heater had leaked all over the basement and, because it was after hours, I didn't expect to get a return call. However, my call was immediately returned! We weren't sure about how to turn off the water and the gas and Elvis walked us through this. He even had me text a photo to make sure that I turned everything off correctly. I really appreciated this help and so we were able to wait until Monday to get the water heater replaced, though he would have done it over the weekend, if we had wanted to do this. On Monday, they were very careful and thorough and cleaned everything up after. Excellent job and friendly and professional technicians.

They were polite, knowledgeable, but not really interested in troubleshooting my overall ductwork issues. More interested in recharging the freon or replacing the compressor. Not what I was looking for at the time.

The solution though it did fix the faucet leak and relace an outside faucet was rather jury-rigged. In hind site, I wish I had asked for a better solution to more easily turn on the faucet. Too close to the ground and not easy to operate.

Called Service Works after discovering water around the basement A/C unit. The call was late (8:00 PM) in the evening and I was promptly called back and told by the technician that he would be at my home between 7-8 in the morning. The technician arrived at 7:00 and quickly identified and fixed the problem. (a clogged drain pipe). He even spend a minute to ensure we knew what to do to prevent the problem from occurring again. Service Works installed the A/C unit almost a year ago and we are as happy with this company now as we where when they installed our system. Good crews and customer service, we would highly recommend them to anyone.

They showed up on time and completed the work with no fuss. They even worked patiently with us regarding a difficult scheduling issue.

The experience was fine. We did have an issue with a leaking flange, but it may not have been their fault. They did not see the leak when they were doing the work. I have found another plumber that I like better, but if they weren't available, then I would possibly use this company again.

Service technician was punctual and professional. He was very friendly and inspected our leaking toilet. He confirmed the cause and provided an estimate for repair. We did not use company for repair, because it was something we could do on our own but would use this company in the future. He also provided estimates for several other plumbing repairs throughout the house as I requested.

He charged me $368 for labor, when it was stated on the bill that they charged $99 an hour. He came during normal business hours so there is no reason I should have been charged $368 when he was here for one hour.

I told the company to make sure the technician called me before he came out so I could meet him, but that never happened. This company also told me they?d inspect the entire home, but when they got here, they told me they wouldn?t be able to do the entire home, just one system. The technician called his office, and it turned out they were able to do the entire house, both units. I've noted the vendor's response. The problem is in the way they describe the services they are offering. If you say 'whole house', you should mean 'whole house'. They know many houses have more than one system. Just advertise accurately, say 'one system', not 'whole house'. I don't want to argue with the technician over the service they offered. They advertised 'whole house', but they wanted to service "half house'.

When I called I was given appointment with 2 crews, HVAC and plumbing. Both arrived as scheduled. Both were very personable. The HVAC man put booties on to protect my carpets. The plumber left mud on them! The work was performed well by both crews. The HVAC system didn't need repair, the disposal was fine but we needed a new sump pump pipe.I thought the price was very high for replacing the piping & stop valve however needed to get it done for a home inspection. Work was accomplished quickly & efficiently.

Very friendly plumber, but the bill I received included travel (even though he was in the neighborhood and had a cancellation of another job). Plus additional time chatting added to the bill. The bill was not right. When I complained to Angies List the staff made calls to the firm and got the firm to remove the excess billing not descripted in advance by the big deal. I doubt that I would use this firm again. There is plenty of outstanding competition.
